I had brought this post over from another board to save time.....eto

. I wanted to tell you alittle bit about it. I had those hoks built locally for about 10$ in parts and another 10$ in labor. They are removable, as you can see with wing nuts, or loosened to rotate out of the way. I hung just empty rucks on the bike and acouple of buckets in the trailer I purchased for $5 in a yard sale. You can reenforce trailer to carry upwards to 100#, but you need to put bigger tires on trailer for clearance. You will notice also that there is racks over the front tire as well as behind the seat, over the rear tire. This allows for even more storage or cargo. The tires are new and very aggressive for the terrian I plan on going, but the tubes inside are not air filled but solid tubing inside. Because of the upgrades I would rate the cargo carrying capablity of this bike around 500#, with the trailer that is another 100#.

Total cost of outfit is (used mountain bike) 35$
You can find a good quality bike used for this
price most anywhere.
Trailer cost with repairs..................................25$
Hooks............................................. .................20$
solid tubes............................................. ..........20$
total $100
For $100 bucks for one set up, a family of 4 it would cost only $400 dollars with #2000 of cargo capable.......Not bad for a good old country boy...........eto

how do you get everything back on the rim, seems to me the solid tubes would be so stiff it would be about impossible to get the tire and all back on,

thought I would ask, this is one thing that Im definately interested in , since I hate pumping up bike tires, this would put an end to that

for inner tube, yeah on the wording, but the box says..............it really was very easy to mount tired, using much dish soap, and moving slowly, all went well..............you can not see the difference in an air tube or a solid one...............eto

Have you actually used that getup yet? Seems to me it would be hard to pedal with the ruck sacks on. Load it up and give us a break down, also this way you will know whether you have a breakdown?
