Just a thought, I am replacing a door gasket on an older freezer and wanted to remind all here that it might be a good idea to check yours too.

I know someone who replaced one on her refrigerator, and it was not easy because it was all curled up. So if anyone knows how to do this, good tips would be appreciated.

I just put a great big c-clamp on mine :)

Soak them in hot water and the curls will disappear. Hang them over your shower door to dry overnight and it makes for a no sweat install.
I have also used the same technique to rejuvenate older door gaskets.

Is this hard to do? I am so completely and utterly helpless with stuff like this and the seal on my fridge door needs replaced badly.

do they come with instructions?

after ya get the curls out start by hanging the gasket on the top of the door

work your way around the door down each side and then the bottom

DON'T TIGHTEN THE SCREWS just lightly snug them [if the screws are tight and ya tweek the door you will break the inside door liner]

close the door and check the fit [ya might have to tweek the door to fit the opening]

once ya get the gasket to touch all the way around the door tighten the screws up snug
