Cure for UTI in Black Labs

Anyone know a good cure for recurring urinary track infections for black and golden labs?

I found a recipe of 1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar, 1 Tblspn Yogurt, and 1/3 cup water on line -given 3 times a day for 3 days

Anyone tried that with success or have another remedy?

To give you a little background on me. was a nurse for 25yrs. Icu, CCU, Med/surg. Ive had dogs all my life. I for one do NOT trust FDA. I've learnt that some of these highly stated dog foods have preservatives in them. That is why Ive made my own dog food from scratch. No more Cemercial dog foods for them. I've got very healthy dogs. I'm an herbal person. I don't even take them flu shots. NOWAY. For your dogs I'd go herbal. Remember most of the drugs today have been tested on animals. So if it was my dog. I would give them Echinacea/goldenseal plus Ester C 250mg. Plus Burdock 1caps. in their dog food. If you make their food it is easy. otherwise roll it up in some lunch meat. They will woof it down. The whole pill. The pill from the health food store is made from veg. gel. so it will desolve quickly. If you are not sure of the Ester C. split the pill in half. The Ech/Gold. One pill if they are good size dogs. Remember they can also take Tri-Buffered Aspirin 325mg. Twice/daily for pain. Remember you can start small and split the pill. To be sure or safe in your own mind, that you are not over doing it. Watch for positive results. I've done something like this with my own dogs. Especially with their pain. They know the word medicine. They sit there and wait till I have it ready for them. Hope this helps

Thank you so much. Actually, it is for my neighbor. They are financially strapped and cannot afford the vet so I was talking to them about a possible natural cure.
