Went in and to buy a few rounds for my .30-06 to go deer hunting this weekend and they were all out. I asked him if they have been selling alot and he said "we have people coming in here buying the whole pallets worth before we can even put it out on the shelves." He proceeded to tell me that they have been ordering way more then they used to and they still run out. Glad I bought my bulk ammo a while ago...

same here in east TN. Went to wal mart the other day and was surprised to find the ammo shelves almost empty. I asked the guy when the next shipment was coming in...he said nothing coming in soon.
I've been buying a box or two every time I go there. This time, I'm wondering if the word is spreading faster...

Well, with the record number of gun sales... what do you think they are going to shoot out of them? I just hope I have enough? hehehehe, I think I do.

It would be helpful to know if the guns and bullets are going to the good guys or the bad guys. It will make a huge difference.
Just sayin.....

I talked to the dept manager of sporting goods at the Wal-mart I used to work at. They can't keep guns or ammo in stock. He has worked at Wal-mart for 12 years, and Kmart for 20 years before that, and he has never seen anything like it.

Looks like our Marxist dictator Ubanga the First is starting his stimulus plan by stimulating gun and ammo sales. Gonna be spanked by Sarah Brady and Handgun control on that<G>
Seriously, the ONLY retail sector showing any sales growth at all is guns and ammo. Sales were up 14% in 2007 and nearly 40% in December 2008. So ubanga has had a good effect on the economy. he he he
Whatever else they are, liberal gungrabbers are both stupid and arrogant. People will have bought several divisions worth of guns and ammo by the time any gun or ammo ban can be passed in late January. I would imagine the gun grabbers might have figured out gun owners ain't giving um back either<G>
If it is time to bury um, it is time to shoot the traitors who passed the law saying you had to give um up!

I went to two gun shops and Wal-Mart yesterday and all three were out of 38 special ammo. I was planning to go to the range today but I am not going to fire my hydra shoks at a paper target. Hopefully the range has some target loads.

I was at wally World this morning and they had very little ammo. Almost no .22 or .223 to speak of, no handgun calibers at all, and little hunting calibers.
They did have all the hunting clothes on clearance. Long sleeve camo t-shirts for 2.50, pants for 4.00 and moisture control t-shirts for 4.00

Was at Wal-Mart on Friday to pick up some ammo for 12 gauge and only 2 boxes left. My neighbor had been in a couple of days prior and has been buying up everything. Says he has enough to last him till he dies and he is only 50. While in there, talked to a guy who I worked with at my past employment and he says their store is just trying to tread water. Didn't get to hit the big gun show here in Indiana which by the way is still going on, but I bet it has been busy.

Working a gun show in Boise this weekend.
Lots and Lots of people coming, for what is turning out to be high priced items.
I see mags at twice to three times the price they were 4 months ago. and they sell.
AR's start at $1200, NO AR-10's at all!!! A RRA upper selling for $750.
Lots of ammo but no bargins! I even saw one guy with 40ea 00 buck 12ga, C&B (nothing special) $85 and he was selling it.....that was just stupid...
I was able to sell some old soft .38cal. , 148 gr wad cutters at $35 for 500 (and yes that was stupid price, but I gave sold 4/5th of it in one day!)
Selling a SKS Yugo for $300 and Wolf ammo at $250 for 500.....that's crazy stuff....
But the money will be used to feed my addiction....And I don't mean my taste for expensive Burbon...

Good point, Doom. If ya have to bury 'em the jig is up.

The only burying will be done by them. Maggie, Star and the others will be buried with me because they aren't any good without ammo. And that's the only reason I'll be buried...out of ammo and 'last ditch' weapons.

I was talking to my wife about getting setup for bugging out if we had to. She said "I'm not running around in the woods, I'll die right here shooting."
This is from a gal that does not like guns very much, she can shoot but fully understands what guns are for. I got lucky!

The Wal-Mart here has a sign. Due to recent demands on ammo we can only sell 2 box's of ammo in each caliber per person, until further notice. Talked to the Mgr and he had no idea when it was coming in. They did have 30-06,22 lr, and a few others, but that was it. The gun store I go to was closed last week, opens tomorrow. I will let ya know.

Went back to Walmart a week later. Ammo still sparse. The clerk said their supplier is out of ammo. NO word on getting any more.
I'm slightly starting to get that freaked out feeling!

This is a photo that I took in the local (SE TN) Sportsmans Warehouse. It's the pistol ammo end of the ammo row. Same story down in rifle land. No cases of wolf out front by the guns either. Still a good supply of shot shells, though.
I think there were probably 15 bottles of reloading powder, total on the shelf. Most of that was shotgun. Primers were in good supply.
Guns were mostly .22s and hunting rifles. No evil black rifles to be seen and the pistols were very heavily picked over. The wall is getting bare.

Day 2 Boise gun show....
Dealers were packing up guns and ammo at the end of the day....Lots of lookers but not a lot of buying going on. I think the economy is slowing and people were looking for bargins, none to be had really, some butnothing great....
I did sell a Corbray m-11 9mm , it was fun but not reliable or practical....
I sold my Dillon 650xl which had one caliber conversion kit and was able to buy a 550b with 7 caliber conversion kits. I think 400 rounds an hour will be enough for me. I never needed 900 rounds an hour anyway ( best I could do was 520 rounds anyway)
I sold a bunch of stuff and junk I didn't need and ended up with some nice tactical belts, some match amjmo, a really good deal on some reloading componets, and a couple other things.
Plus got to know some more gun nuts like me....
Now I'm going to sell my SKS , Yugo, the only 7.62 x 39 in our group....need another 223 to stay with common calibers...
One our local guys was posting that their was NO 9mm rounds available in the Boise Valley . I guess he went to 5 or 6 stores an couldn't find any.... I know Wally world was all out of Federal bulk bullets and when anything comes in someone will buy all the cases he gets before they even get onto the floor!!!
