I have a CD maturing soon. It is approx. 11k. Should I buy gold coins? If so what kind. It is 11k I do not need to live on. Should I invest the entire amount?

Thank you all in advance for your help.

Silver is probabaly a better value than gold at this point. Get at least some pre-1965 circulated dimes, quarters and half dollars (also known as "junk silve" for its lack of collector value or "90 percent" for its fineness) along with some one-ounce rounds.

Good advise Moe, with gold where is is , silver is the deal at hand. The key was, people SHOULD have bough Gold a few years ago...but most didn't listen then, now they are running scared.... I feel for them.

But whatever those coming into some cash do, get it out of U.S. dollars....:|

Tall Vin, I would first make sure I had all my preps completed, then I would buy PM. IMHO, I think Silver is going to be a better investment. It's ratio to Gold is far too high and will have to come back in line. But, ask God what is the best option for you and your family is the best course of action. Good Luck.

Thanks for your responses. In regard to silver, Am. Eagles are scarce. Would you feel comfortable Maple leafs?

Thank you again for your help.

Maple leafs IMO are a better choice than Eagles. Face on an Eagle is $1 Face on a Maple is $5.
