Sorry to be bold about this but a little p****ed off right now at our Governor Mitch Daniels on the possibility of consolidating the smaller schools. Personally cause of my sons success at our new school that we moved to and it is a smaller school, I like the small school systems. It provides more of an opportunity for the child to get more one on one attention.

I know I know home school trust me I would love to but not in a situation to be able to do it.

So please get on the horn and email this idiot of a governor that we have.

Since we been to Rising Sun in the 1st 9 weeks my son of 7 has made the b honor roll. When he was in Lawrenceburg he was getting D's and F's cause of the bigger size school and no real one on one attention and retained first grade.

So please help me out to knock some since into this idiot. This was the email that I've sent him.

Mr. Daniels,

This is in concern to the bill that you may pass to consolidate the smaller schools in Indiana.

Do Not Do It. Smaller schools are good for the state. Not only its good for the state, its good for the individual attending them schools. Plus keep in mind of the qualifying teacher that you will most likely be putting out of work.

Me and my wife lived in Lawrenceburg while our son of 7 started his school career. There at Lawrenceburg which is a bigger school system then Ohio County, was not getting the one on one attention that he needed in order to succeed at that school along with our guidance.

He passed Kindergarden, but struggle and retain 1st grade. Me and my wife took an opportunity to move down to Ohio County in Rising Sun and for the 1st nine weeks of doing first grade again he went from making D's and F's,
to making the B honor roll with the help of the teachers at that school system.

Consolidating these schools into bigger school systems that don't have a higher percentage of students on the honor roll will be a grave mistake on the education system here in Indiana.

Not only it will make the children who are in a routine and in a comfortable situation uncomfortable, but it will be disruptive to the families that support their child's education.

So in closing, we will be keeping an eye on this bill and if it passes, not only me and my wife, but the other parents who oppose this consolidation will make sure that you do not get re elected.
