Been in and out of the goat shed, trying to make friends with the new does. This morning, I went out to see both heads popped over the fence and one even blatted at me to hurry up with breakfast.
This afternoon I went out to check on them with a coat pocket full of frosted shredded wheat. I've been trying different things to tempt them to come to me....Fritos weren't the key, neither were spelt crackers. But Shredded wheat got even Thunderbird (the shaking, 'fraidy cat doe) to eat out of my had; she even gave my hand a good ten second sniff over. :razz::razz::razz::razz:
No sign of babies yet, but they are filling out well and looking good. They need their feet trimmed, but right now is NOT the time. But progress is being made. More frosted shredded Wheat....!
