Now that the garden is set for a bit, I need to get busy on the grass and burning up all the yard waste from this year.

Looking good there Scotty! I see the grass is already trying to make a comeback in your garden. It will take a couple of years to get rid of, but it will be well worth it. And I see yalls dogwoods are blooming too! Ours just started up here about three days ago. I could stare at them for days lol. Thanks for the pictures...it's good motivation lol

We did a total weeding today, I did one last week as well. I'm letting the grass grow against the fence as an added barrier for keeping unwanted guests from trying to get under it. When I raked the garden spot originally, I raked the grass clumps against the inside edge of the fence and just let them grow there. It makes a nice inner wall at the bottom of the fence, I just need to get the weed eater in there this week for tidying up.

Dogwoods are pretty, our Lilac is all bloomy as well. I was out on the lake fishing all day yesterday, and it is amazing how fast the woods are coming back into bloom, lots of leaves on the trees already compared to last week.

oh, the corn! you didn't tell them about the corn. we planted 3 half rows of corn from heirloom seeds. keep your fingers crossed and any advice on how to dry/save them for next year would be appreciated.
