Obama's Mexico trip overlapped with swine flu; White House says he's fine (http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2009/04/white-house-says-obama-not-affected-by-swine-flu.html)

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/.a/6a00d8341c630a53ef01156f5c9602970c-800wi (http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/.a/6a00d8341c630a53ef01156f5c9602970c-pi)
The White House says that President Obama (http://topics.latimes.com/politics/people/barack-obama), who traveled to Mexico this month, is in good health and not affected by the swine flu that has killed at least 68 people and sickened hundreds in that country. That’s the word reported today by the Associated Press (http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2009/04/25/politics/main4968913.shtml).
AP quotes Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs as saying, “The president’s trip to Mexico has not put his health in any danger.”
The AP also reports:
The outbreak coincided with President Barack Obama’s trip to Mexico City on April 16. Obama was received at the anthropology museum in Mexico City by Felipe Solis, a distinguished archaeologist who died a week later from symptoms similar to flu, Reforma newspaper reported. The newspaper didn’t say if Solis had swine flu or not.
The Centers for Disease Control, meanwhile, is providing information on swine flu on its website (http://www.cdc.gov/swineflu/?s_cid=swineFlu_outbreak_001).

If this virus is as contagious as what it appears to be, I find it hard to believe that he was able to come into direct, physical contact with infected people and has suffered no ill effects.

Actions speak much louder than words and I just can't get past the fact that the school in TX has had only 3 confirmed cases, but they have already cancelled all classes for the time being.

I heard a guy on C2C last night saying that if the prez gets on TV to adress the American pple... we are in big trouble. If he says everything is being done by the govt and that all plans are in place. That means it is worse than we think.

Robert Gibbs says that the presidents health is not in jepordy, after meeting with a man who died a week later from flu like symptoms. So, I guess Robert G is omniscient, and 0 is omnipotent. Fitting!!

This plague began with his trip to Mexico and he brought it to America.

He could be a carrier of it........ there's a few viruses/illnesses/etc. that some people are just carriers for, but they don't actually contract whatever it is............. just sayin............

Then he needs to PROMPTLY convene a joint session of Congress and update them on the situation. 8)

I am confused. Someone explain to me why some swine flu topics
are here while most have been sent to a new medical sub-forum ?

Ok, Bloomberg says this guy died the next day.

He certainly doesn't look very sick in that photo.

Any other reports of when Solis died ?

But that would mean he would have to have some basic common sense. Up to this point, he's only displayed his level of ignorance and stupidity.
