Well, we had about 9 inches of rain this week, which left some of the garden severely waterlogged and standing water in places. Looks like the spinach got the worst of it:sad:

The rest of the garden is going like gang busters, especially the peas, corn, tomatoes, and pole beans. The pole beans have grown 5-6 inches in the last week!

The melons and squash are going nuts as well, patticakes was worried that they would even come up in such wet soil, but now they are unstoppable.

your garden looks great, good job. you look like you got a couple weeks head start on us up here of course thats to be expected, atlanta area always plants earlier than we do up here. we had right at 15 inches of rain last week here but all in all everything seems to have survived for the most part.

love the pics, keep up the good work..

of a beautiful garden and roses. With all the rain we've had in Central MO
I lost my lemon verbena, it drowned. The tomatos and peppers are doing well. The strawberries have lots of flower buds and 1 ripening berry. (I bought it as an established plant this year).
My blackberry is going crazy. Parts of it growing 4-8 inches overnight.
I got a really neat tomato cage for it last week-end and I need to go get another one today. I have lots of lots of buds and several blossoms on it as well.
I have located the spot to plant the gooseberry, and am trying to decide where to put the elderberry.
