We just got some organic chicken feed at the Coop also known as Centex. We have had some trouble with the regular chicken food as the chickens refuse to eat it, so we paid the price to get "organic" knowing that term has been redefined. When getting it home we discovered that the high priced organic chicken food label dances around real food and flirts with substitutes. Upon further label examination we found it was produced by Cargill, might as well be from Monsanto. Disgusting!!!!!

Just a heads up.

From the trenches,
Celeste

Golly, they really have us in a bind, don't they? The poor things need grain, at least up here in the winter, and the choices are slim. Growing the grain ones self seems the best alternative, but not many of us can do that. Thanks for the heads up!
