But it looks like we have one anyways. I had really been hoping that this little guy would belong to one of the neighbors. I've asked around and no one is claiming him. He's skinny but he must be a good hunter because before he showed up a month ago we were overrun with rabbits and now there are none. He's taken up residence on our grill. (Bleach. Lots of bleach in that grill's future.) I hadn't fed him in hopes that he'd go home to whoever he belongs to, and put a collar and note on him so that his owners could call me. I've seen him here and there for a month now, but since the beginning of the week he's been a permanent fixture on our porch. I've given in and he got a scoop of food when I fed everyone else last night.

I've never had an outside cat before. Our four indoor cats and two dogs aren't fond of Mr. Grill Cat, so he is not coming indoors. Plus he is covered with fleas. I think there is some frontline in his future. I might have to look into the local shelter's feral cat/barncat neutering prices because I don't want him making more strays.

We don't need another cat. Really.

A simple solution to a hairy grill would be to close the cover! Yuk.

I actually did that after I took the picture. The cat is now sitting on the cover. I'll still be bleaching the grill though.

My husband had made hamburgers the night before and didn't put the lid on afterwards. The cat probably figured it was a free meal and hasn't left since.

closethe lid, but now before you can use that again, it is going to have to be bleached. Cats carry allot of thngs, yuck.
