Our 18 week old Barred Rocks laid their first egg(s) today........
We have been hearing the egg song for about 2-3 days now..but nothing...
We have the GD's here now and they heard it this morning and said "let's go look...".....I said they do that a lot...we'll check later........well, whaduyano.......they went out there, and there WAS an egg....WOW! we all said!

And then we went shopping, and when we came back there was ANOTHER egg.........we are so "eggcited"..:-o
We have 4 hens, and they are all the same age, but 2 matured more than the other, so we're guessing it's them that's laying now...small first ones...but perfect!
