Perhaps a bit conspicious, no? :P

Kewl!

It looks like it has front wheel drive as well. Hey, it's not a 'four-wheeler', it's a 'ten-Wheeler'!

I would guess 12-19 mpg. Its a diesel!!! Look good last long time.
I bet it rides like a old covered wagon though. Makes my butt hurt just looking at it.

I don't care how it rides, i could use that. i could haul alot ofstuff with it, and if we ever had to bug out, that would be perfect.

I could sure load and haul alot of wood in that.
Or animals, or supplies. any thing. with the bed covered like it is, you could use it, for anything, including shelter, if you had too.

I bought an old rusted out Chevy suburban one time for my paper route, and I'll never forget my little sis taking a look at it and telling me, "Man, you could live in that if you had to!"

She had lived out of a truck once, so she knew. I later gave it to her, and she used it to tow her travel trailer cross country. She made it from FL to TX, where the Chevy died, and was laid to rest.

Mom, my dad had something similar to that truck when we had our homestead in Alaska. He called it a 6-by, it had a flat-bed, I can't remember if it had twin axles under the bed or not (been a long time ago, LOL!). I hated to ride in it because there weren't any doors on it, and also no seat belts back then, and nothing for a small child to hold onto bouncing around on that slick seat on rough back roads. But Dad did use it for a lot of things. I like my pickup, although it doesn't get much better mileage than one of those trucks!

A friend of mine in the L.A. Harbor picked one of those up around year 2002. Drove it before reading all the manual on it and messed up some tranny parts. He picked up some spare parts needed for repair, and he is buzzing along the road with no problem now.

He has vacant land in Central California somewhere, yet no place to park it here, unless he is now renting a location. A few years back he got into picking up surplus at auctions. Once in a while he would bid on boxes not knowing their contents.

That looks like a Deuce and a Half...

I am no military man so maybe my opinion doesn't count but I hated the Duce and a Half ! We had one that we converted to a firetruck/Tender which obviously raised the center of gravity and we darn near tipped it over one day. It was noisier than hell and a pain in the @$$ to drive.

The gears were set up different then we are used to. It was something like this..

1--4
|....|
2--3

Or something. I can't quite remember.

It was very powerful though.

I think I would rather have a decent Mog. If you could get a unimog radio truck you could make a heck of a camper.

well, since I don't have any little kids, this would be great from me. i could think of a thousand things to use it for.
Then all I would need is a tank!!!!!!!!!! Wouldn't that be cool to have your own tank!!!!!!!! :D :D

I do believe they are a multi fuel truck. They will run on damn near anything even semi flamable.

They have very thirsty engines. You would be lucky to get 6-8 MPG.
