I was visiting another site, that for a long time, focused primarily on the market, gold and such. Now the board has included survival issues, and alot of traders are now thinking as we do.
I just wanted to share a post that got my attention, because it is sad, but true, that city folks are waking up now and are in a quandary as to what to do.
Just sharing the mindset of others and not posting for malicious reasons. And to add that I do not agree with this, but am finding alot of hostility around the net these days..
*** illustrates the "survival" mentality of braindead, liberal cityfux.
These are the people who need an exterminator to get rid of a mouse caught in a disposable trap.
It's a whole nother story when you have to gut a deer or you're up to your shoulder inside a bellowing cow repositioning a calf.
The cityfux are finally realizing that they're doomed.
Lacking any skills whatsoever, and no money to purchase viable land with adequate water and a perpetual fuel supply, they stumble upon the dream that if they just assemble a whole BUNCH of similar useless cityfux, then COLLECTIVELY they can save themselves.
Encourage such people.
At a minimum they can be used as dog food.

Personally, I don't think I want them banding together for any reason. 'Group mentality' is much, much braver than that of a single person. And I have seen that the most 'civilized' among us during peaceful times, becomes the most depraved cannibals during the worst of times. Try to imagine the horror, the terror; when a horde of 200 or more of them come pouring out of the city closest to you with only one thought in their collective heads...EAT!!! For them, at that time, it won't matter if it is cow, goat, dog, cat, or...human.

very sad indeed, it is. I really don't want to see that either, but of course it is true. and you can bet they will find guns, along the way. better have a ton of ammo.

I agree Cap and mom. I don't know why, but in the past year or so, the younger generation have been fixated on zombies. I questioned one young lady and asked what she meant, she told me she just dreams of zombies and is afraid of them. I'm thinking, how immature. Yet now, I'm beginning to wonder if she had premotitions of what may come.

"Yes but will they know how to dress it so its edible?"
theoriginaldeb, when they are literally starved half to death, it won't matter to them if it's raw even. It may kill them later from disease, but for now, they are full and happy...and that's all that will matter.
Remember the 'Donner Party'.

yeah , your right there, they just won't care. hunger does strange things to people for sure. when people get hungry, and they see their children hungry, they will murder, rob steal, what ever it take to feed those kids.

When I get really hungry the first thing I'm going to build is a 20 mm mini gun on a remote controlled swivel so it works with a joystick and then I'll weld up an armored D9 bulldozer to mount it on. The cab being sealed from outside air it will also be equipped with a phosgene gas generator and smoke. The tires will be able to climb over cars as easily as potholes with independent suspension, crushing whoever is inside.

North Runner, please explain yourself here...please. I get a very negative feeling from what you wrote. The way I'm seeing it is that you are saying you will armor-up and go hunting us preppers...when you get hungry enough. I sure as heck hope that ain't what you meant.
I ain't tipping my hand, but I *do* have 'something' that will stop even that...as do many others, I'm sure.

that is exactly what he is saying. He will take what he wants, when he wants. Only one problem, many preppers out there, can stop that machine, in its tracks.

You're right Cappy, sounds like he'll be hunting the preppers. He should know that a few ounces of common "ingredients" and a little duct-tape to hold the "ingredients" onto the top of his armored cab will fry right through onto his lap. Simple stuff really.
Every Country Boy knows this.

This forum needs a place to post those "common ingredients".

That's the way I read it, for sure. But, to be fair, I'm giving North Runner the benefit of the doubt and a chance to explain himself. When I 'take out the trash', I like to be sure it *is* trash...know what I mean? Maybe he was just being sarcastic...maybe.
So, North Runner, which is it? Do I start shooting or do I put the safety back on?

Hunting preppers  I was thinking about trips to wallyworld. Although something like that would probably be easy to take out with a law rocket or rpg just seeing it coming should clear most people off the road. Come to think of it some thermal imaging would be a nice addition.
All things considered a stryker might be better.... though somewhat less available :)

Wallyworld will be M-T within 3 days of any catastrophic occurance, so be sure to get there first.

Who's more dangerous: A gun owner with a hunting rifle or a filthy sheeple Dr. with a medical degree in his hand.
Just recently a Dr. impersonator was found to be living up here after a woman complained about waking up during an operation and find him lying on top of her having sex. He was from "the city". His scam was special treatments for russians. He owns a fair amount of property in the area.
One thing I can say about cityfux is that they're devious and define survival in different ways than we do.
