John Hagee claims Christ did not come to earth to be the Messiah

Popular televangelist claims Christ is not the Messiah in new book:

John Hagee claims Christ did not come to earth to be the Messiah

"In his book In Defense of Israel (2007), beginning in the section called "The Jews did not Reject Jesus as Messiah" (p. 132) John Hagee relentlessly twisted Scripture in his attempt to prove that Jesus Christ did not come "to be Messiah to the Jews." His denial of Jesus as the Christ (Messiah) cannot be overlooked as a mere "slip of his pen" because he repeated his assertion "seven ways from Sunday" as seen in this sample of seven quotes from his book:

If God intended for Jesus to be the Messiah of Israel, why didn't he authorize Jesus to use supernatural signs to prove he was God's Messiah, just as Moses had done? (p. 137)
Jesus refused to produce a sign ... because it was not the Father's will, nor his, to be Messiah. (p 138)
If Jesus wanted to be Messiah, why did he repeatedly tell his disciples and followers to "tell no one" about his supernatural accomplishments? (p. 139)
The Jews were not rejecting Jesus as Messiah; it was Jesus who was refusing to be the Messiah to the Jews. (p. 140)
They wanted him to be their Messiah, but he flatly refused. (p. 141)
He refused to be their Messiah, choosing instead to be the Savior of the world (p. 143)
Jesus rejected to the last detail the role of Messiah in word or deed. (p. 145)

John Hagee's words directly contradict the central message of the entire New Testament. Indeed, John Hagee's words directly contradict the fundamental declaration that defines the Christian Faith, which is that Jesus is the Messiah (i.e. the Christ). This is what Peter declared in his first sermon to thousands of his fellow Jews gathered at Pentecost (Acts 2:36):
Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ (Messiah).

Hagee has been spreading a doctrine for some while, that there are other paths to Heaven without going thru Christ. Pray for Hagee to see the error of his ways and accept that Jesus, The Christ, is Lord.

This link contains a video clip of a commercial of Hagee hocking his new book, where he plainly claims, "Jesus did not come to earth to be the Messiah":

OK Imrik you asked for it! !

I am tired of the false [churches] of America trying make many feel condemed just so they can raise their profit margin through tithes.

I am tired of those who call themselves christians who feel it is their duty to beat others up with God's Word and feel proud about it!

SHAME ON ALL OF YOU!

Live your life and let God's light shine through you. No one has the right to condem anothers soul using God's Word, love one another! Love your neighbors as yourself!

Shut your mouth and live your life and if by some miracle you may be a witness for God! !

OK Imrik I am now ok, thanks! I feel much better now!

God Bless!

Dang it's so nice to be around like minded people! Jesus is the Christ!! To say He is not is to damn yourself. These kinds of preachers (if you want to call them that) are the reason DH and I no longer go to an "organized" church. We worship together many times during the week, especially on Sunday morning with song (Sirius Bluegrass channel has a 4 hour bluegrass gospel special we use called "Gospel Train"). We pray, talk about Him, thank Him together. And before anyone poo-poo's us, in the Word it says "Where ever two or more are gathered in my Name, there I am also." We must be doing something right, for we are blessed and happy, though poor in money. We don't preach at others, instead we let our lives be a light to Him.

People such as Mr. Hagee are leading so many astray that it makes my heart break. But as kelee said...there will be false prophets. It's just aweful to watch it happen though.

SheWolf...I like your thinking..lol..do you feel like your being followed today...

DF and I up until yesterday where having a hard time deciding on church, we just finished reading called The Jesus Letters, by David Ravenhill..it is about the 7 churches, but also with some google search, we have decided not to attend an organized church anymore...we will give our tithing to the local food bank in way of food...we are on a limited income, so 10% of preps will go to them...we already give our dues to Ceaser and pay an average of 30-35% percent in income taxes a year.plus taxes on products, land taxes..wow taxes taxes taxes...and now please help this cause and that cause..

We meet at a church here and everytime we turn around they have their hands out to support this and that..they bring over 2 misionaried from Burma and ask the congregation to pay for everything from snowsuits to laptops...our minister has more toys then you can shake a stick at...2 houses, a cabin, 2 atv,s and boats and motors and all the accessories..

also he had 2 of the misionaries out fishing and one of them accidentaly dropped the motor for the boat over the side and in the deep water it went(please don,t ask me how) anyways he asked the congrgation to cover the cost to replace the lost boat motor and got himself a brandnew fancy smancy one..

ok I have released my thoughts...will be back with more in a bit..right now it is get the kiddies up for school time...

Hagee had a conference years ago that a friend of mine attended. The opening statement by JH was "put your bibles under your chairs, I'm going to tell you what God said"

Knew what he was full of back then, seems it hasn't changed much.

Don't know of any down to earth "Evangelists" that show up on the TV

They call it the Boob Tube for a good reason.......

Hagee Rewrites New Book to Allay Christian Criticism

When John Hagee, pastor to the Cornerstone Church in San Antonio and head of the Zionist group Christians United for Israel (CUFI), released his new book, In Defense of Israel, in early October, he promised that it would "shape Christian theology" by proving that Christ did not come to earth to be the Messiah -- for Jews. Hagee's intention, apparently, was to prove that two millennia of anti-Semitism was a grievous mistake because, since Christ did not come to earth to be the Messiah Jews were waiting for, how could they be blamed for rejecting him? (As it turns out, according to Hagee, the Jews were just waiting for the Second Coming.) Because his "shocking exposé" was so contrary to established doctrine, it unleashed a storm of Christian criticism charging that Hagee, heretically, did not believe in Christ as savior. (There was not a similar storm of criticism that he still believes that Jews will be saved -- finally! -- when Christ returns.)

On the CUFI Web site, Hagee writes this week that what he meant to say was that Jews were waiting for the "Reigning Messiah" and God sent the "Suffering Messiah" instead. That saved all the Christians, but the Jews were still left hanging for the "Reigning Messiah" that the Christians believe will appear at the Second Coming. Who knew?

Hagee is an no necker that chases money.

The God of Abraham hid his face from Israel.

They are to forget their identity as a people until the latter days.

They are to forget his holy name; God is a noun and not his name.

They are to lose their land until he returns and puts the sticks of Judah and Ephraim in his hand and makes them one again.
