The elevated highway that runs along the waterfront , is being replaced
by a very large tunnel . This " Viaduct " is very old , and has suffered
much damage from EQ and use .
ALSO , the waterfront area SOUTH of the downtown district is mostly
landfill and is expected to liquify if we get any large EQ .
Both of these are between Seattle and West Seattle.
