I plan on using my Sunbeam bread maker in a few days.
What I need is a really good Oatmeal Bread loaf for a bread maker.
Anyone got a really tasty one?
Thanks in advance!

Here's a couple from King Arthur Flour. I have to confess I haven't tried either of these, but I've never gotten a 'clinker' recipe from them. Good luck, and let us know which one you picked, and your results.

And here's a link to all of their oatmeal bread recipes. While not all of them are strictly for a machine, many have instructions for using the recipe in a bread machine. Hmmm, now I'm hungry for oatmeal bread. :-P

When making bread, I often use my machine for just the dough mixing and rising portion of the recipe. My machine tends to bake the crust to dark for us, no matter what setting I have it on. So I get better luck with just using the machine for the mixing and rising portion of the recipe, then I take it out, form it to fit my bread pan, let rise again, then bake in my oven. Good luck and enjoy your bread.
I use to hand make all my bread but old age and a bad back is making that hard these days.
I use to make an oatmeal bread that all the family loved. The first loaves were always gone in minutes with four big boys, one little picky girl, and a hungry dad around.
But that one does NOT come out right in my machine so ...
Thanks again!
