When the weather man says we're on the borderline of ice/snow mix it does concern me. Many years ago when we were on the "borderline" for some snow, we got 14 record breaking inches.

I've never used a kerosene heater before and the one I have is at least 15 years old and never taken out of the box before.

It's been in a hot dry shed all these years. Any advice from those with experience using these things is certainly welcome.

Do you think the wick will be alright after that many years? I am going to read the instructions and if the wind dies down enough, fill it up and light it out on the patio for a test run. TIA
