    Default Honey Roasted Peanuts

    2 c shelled peanuts
    2 tbls butter
    3 tbls honey
    cracked salt - optional

Preheat oven to 350. Heat honey and butter stirring until blended. Stir peanuts into mixture tossing the peanuts until well coated. Spread peanuts on cookie sheet and bake 8-10 minutes, stirring the peanuts every 2 minutes. Careful not to overcook, over roasting gives them a burnt taste.

Allow the peanuts to cool on the cookie sheet and continue to stir every 2 minutes so that they don't stick to the pan or to each other.

I like to salt them when they are first out of the oven. And we think they taste best once they have cooled, nice honey flavor.

    Makes about 2 cups.

    These sound yummy! Thank you!

I've done something similiar at Christmas, only using butter and either cajun spices or some other forms of spice to give them a savory heat. Those were wonderful, but I'd like to try your recipe.
