    All the Way My Saviour Leads Me

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=ekUELQCnQlM

    1. All the way my Savior leads me,
      What have I to ask beside?
      Can I doubt His tender mercy,
      Who through life has been my Guide?
      Heav’nly peace, divinest comfort,
      Here by faith in Him to dwell!
      For I know, whate’er befall me,
      Jesus doeth all things well;
      For I know, whate’er befall me,
      Jesus doeth all things well.
    2. All the way my Savior leads me,
      Cheers each winding path I tread,
      Gives me grace for every trial,
      Feeds me with the living Bread.
      Though my weary steps may falter
      And my soul athirst may be,
      Gushing from the Rock before me,
      Lo! A spring of joy I see;
      Gushing from the Rock before me,
      Lo! A spring of joy I see.
    3. All the way my Savior leads me,
      Oh, the fullness of His love!
      Perfect rest to me is promised
      In my Father’s house above.
      When my spirit, clothed immortal,
      Wings its flight to realms of day
      This my song through endless ages:
      Jesus led me all the way;
      This my song through endless ages:
      Jesus led me all the way.
    float like a butterfly...

    Where Will You Spend Eternity?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=vCbGMHjtIWg

    Where will you spend eternity?
    This question comes to you and me!
    Tell me, what shall your answer be?
    Where will you spend eternity?

    Eternity! eternity!
    Where will you spend eternity?

    Many are choosing Christ today,
    Turning from all their sins away;
    Heav’n shall their happy portion be;
    Where will you spend eternity?

    Eternity! eternity!
    Where will you spend eternity?

    Leaving the straight and narrow way,
    Going the downward road today,
    Sad will their final ending be,
    Lost thro’ a long eternity!

    Eternity! eternity!
    Lost thro’ a long eternity!

    Repent, believe, this very hour,
    Trust in the Savior’s grace and power,
    Then will your joyous answer be,
    Saved thro’ a long eternity!

    Eternity! eternity!
    Saved thro’ a long eternity!
    float like a butterfly...

    Here's a couple of great links:

    First is the "Hymnary" an on-line collection of many published hymnals. To the extent possible, in consideration of copyright laws, you will find words, music, settings, history and even a short midi example all in downloadable format. Many foreign language hymnals are included.

    http://www.hymnary.org/

    Next is the "Open Hymnal Project" a fairly complete on-line hymnal that has words and music for hundreds of Christian hymns. I have this entire book on my computer so I can print off copies as needed.

    http://openhymnal.org/

    Both of these organizations provide valuable resources and are worthy of our support. The efforts in both cases are ongoing.

    The day of the hymnal is fast drawing to a close. Too many churches are giving them up in favor of the video screen and no one wants the books anymore. I have started a personal collection and would like to expand it as much as possible. If anyone has one they no longer want I would be happy to add it to my modest collection. All are useful but, in particular I'm most interested in the loose leaf organist copies. Those are much harder to find and I prowl lots of used book stores looking for them.

    I Come to the Garden

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AG9I_...eature=related

    I come to the garden alone
    While the dew is still on the roses
    And the voice I hear falling on my ear
    The Son of God discloses.

    Refrain:
    And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
    And He tells me I am His own;
    And the joy we share as we tarry there,
    None other has ever known.

    He speaks, and the sound of His voice,
    Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,
    And the melody that He gave to me
    Within my heart is ringing.

    Refrain:
    And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
    And He tells me I am His own;
    And the joy we share as we tarry there,
    None other has ever known.

    I'd stay in the garden with Him
    Though the night around me be falling,
    But He bids me go; through the voice of woe
    His voice to me is calling.

    Refrain:
    And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
    And He tells me I am His own;
    And the joy we share as we tarry there,
    None other has ever known.
    float like a butterfly...

    The Lily of the Valley

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhXW5QD8N1g

    I have found a friend in Jesus, He’s everything to me,
    He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul;

    The Lily of the Valley, in Him alone I see
    All I need to cleanse and make me fully whole.

    In sorrow He’s my comfort, in trouble He’s my stay;
    He tells me every care on Him to roll.

    He’s the Lily of the Valley, the Bright and Morning Star,
    He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.

    He all my grief has taken, and all my sorrows borne;
    In temptation He’s my strong and mighty tow’r;

    I have all for Him forsaken, and all my idols torn
    From my heart and now He keeps me by His pow’r.

    Though all the world forsake me, and Satan tempt me sore,
    Through Jesus I shall safely reach the goal.

    He’s the Lily of the Valley, the Bright and Morning Star,
    He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.

    He will never, never leave me, nor yet forsake me here,
    While I live by faith and do His blessed will;

    A wall of fire about me, I’ve nothing now to fear,
    From His manna He my hungry soul shall fill.

    Then sweeping up to glory to see His blessed face,
    Where rivers of delight shall ever roll.

    He’s the Lily of the Valley, the Bright and Morning Star,
    He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.

    Shall We Gather at the River

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rplrk...eature=related

    Shall we gather at the river,
    Where bright angel feet have trod,
    With its crystal tide forever
    Flowing by the throne of God?

    Yes, we’ll gather at the river,
    The beautiful, the beautiful river;
    Gather with the saints at the river
    That flows by the throne of God.

    On the margin of the river,
    Washing up its silver spray,
    We will talk and worship ever,
    All the happy golden day.

    Yes, we’ll gather at the river,
    The beautiful, the beautiful river;
    Gather with the saints at the river
    That flows by the throne of God.

    Ere we reach the shining river,
    Lay we every burden down;
    Grace our spirits will deliver,
    And provide a robe and crown.

    Yes, we’ll gather at the river,
    The beautiful, the beautiful river;
    Gather with the saints at the river
    That flows by the throne of God.

    At the smiling of the river,
    Mirror of the Savior’s face,
    Saints, whom death will never sever,
    Lift their songs of saving grace.

    Yes, we’ll gather at the river,
    The beautiful, the beautiful river;
    Gather with the saints at the river
    That flows by the throne of God.

    Soon we’ll reach the silver river,
    Soon our pilgrimage will cease;
    Soon our happy hearts will quiver
    With the melody of peace.

    Yes, we’ll gather at the river,
    The beautiful, the beautiful river;
    Gather with the saints at the river
    That flows by the throne of God.

    Yes, we’ll gather at the river,
    The beautiful, the beautiful river;
    Gather with the saints at the river
    That flows by the throne of God.

    Freely, Freely

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCLconoyX9I

    God forgave my sin in Jesus' name,
    I've been born again in Jesus' name,
    And in Jesus' name I come to you
    To share His love as He told me to.

    He said, Freely, freely you have received;
    Freely, freely give.
    Go in my name and because you believe,
    Others will know that I live."

    All power is given in Jesus' name,
    In earth and heaven, in Jesus' name;
    And in Jesus' name I come to you
    To share His power as He told me to.

    He said, Freely, freely you have received;
    Freely, freely give.
    Go in my name and because you believe,
    Others will know that I live."

    BATTLE HYMN OF THE REPUBLIC

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Y4a4I4SyDs

    1. Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord:
    He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;
    He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword:
    His TRUTH is marching on.
    (Chorus)
    Glory, glory, hallelujah!
    Glory, glory, hallelujah!
    Glory, glory, hallelujah!
    His TRUTH is marching on.

    2. I have seen Him in the watch-fires of a hundred circling camps,
    They have builded Him an altar in the evening dews and damps;
    I can read His righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps:
    His DAY is marching on.
    (Chorus)
    Glory, glory, hallelujah!
    Glory, glory, hallelujah!
    Glory, glory, hallelujah!
    His DAY is marching on.

    3. I have read a fiery gospel writ in burnished rows of steel:
    "As ye deal with my contemners, so with you my grace shall deal;
    Let the Hero, born of woman, crush the serpent with his heel,
    SINCE GOD is marching on."
    (Chorus)
    Glory, glory, hallelujah!
    Glory, glory, hallelujah!
    Glory, glory, hallelujah!
    SINCE GOD is marching on.

    4. He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat;
    He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment-seat:
    Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him! be jubilant, my feet!
    OUR GOD is marching on.
    (Chorus)
    Glory, glory, hallelujah!
    Glory, glory, hallelujah!
    Glory, glory, hallelujah!
    OUR GOD is marching on.

    5. In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea,
    With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me:
    As He died to make men holy, let us die to make men free,
    WHILE GOD is marching on.
    (Chorus)
    Glory, glory, hallelujah!
    Glory, glory, hallelujah!
    Glory, glory, hallelujah!
    WHILE GOD is marching on.

    6. He is coming like the glory of the morning on the wave,
    He is Wisdom to the mighty, He is Succour to the brave,
    So the world shall be His footstool, and the soul of Time His slave,
    OUR GOD is marching on.
    (Chorus)
    Glory, glory, hallelujah!
    Glory, glory, hallelujah!
    Glory, glory, hallelujah!
    OUR GOD is marching on.

    Once In Royal David's City

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYs6I...eature=related

    Once in royal David's city, Stood a lowly cattle shed
    Where a mother laid her Baby, In a manger for His bed
    Mary was that mother mild
    Jesus Christ her little Child

    He came down to earth from heaven, Who is God and Lord of all
    And His shelter was a stable, And His cradle was a stall
    With the poor, and mean, and lowly
    Lived on earth our Savior holy

    And through all His wondrous childhood, He would honor and obey
    Love and watch the lowly maiden, In whose gentle arms He lay
    Christian children all must be
    Mild, obedient, good as He

    For He is our childhood's pattern, Day by day, like us He grew
    He was little, weak and helpless, Tears and smiles like us He knew
    And He feeleth for our sadness
    And He shareth in our gladness

    And our eyes at last shall see Him, Through His own redeeming love
    For that Child so dear and gentle, Is our Lord in heaven above
    And He leads His children on
    To the place where He is gone

    Not in that poor lowly stable, With the oxen standing by
    We shall see Him but in heaven, Set at God's right hand on high
    Where like stars His children crowned
    All in white shall wait around
    float like a butterfly...

    It's interesting that the third stanza is often omitted from this hymn. It was written by Cecil F. Alexander an Irish composer and first published in her "Hymns for Little Children" in 1848 and set to the tune IRBY. An excellent resource for our musicians can be found at www.hymnary.org. Complete scores are available from hundreds of different hymnals and can be printed in different formats and they often have midi files of the tunes in both piano and organ. They also have the history of the composer, purpose of the hymn and associated Scripture references. I'm always looking for the scores to go with the more interesting hymns posted as I have two full sized church organs in the house. Here's the link for this one:

    "The employment of the piano is forbidden in church, as is also that of noisy frivolous instruments such as drums, cymbals, bells and the like." St. Pius X
