Wise Men Still Seek Him
Wise Men Still Seek Him
Hi CaryC,
I just posted a link to an article titled "Why We Are Opposed To CCM", in the Seminary sub forum. I would have started a new thread, but I'm still in the learning curve; still much to learn.
Psalms 13:6
"I will sing unto the Lord,
because he hath dealt bountifully with me".
Psalms 13:6
"I will sing unto the Lord,
because he hath dealt bountifully with me".

I hope it's appropriate to post this here... beginning and final scenes and beautiful hymn from the old movie, "The Trip to Bountiful."
The 1985 movie was made in Texas and is about an old lady who literally tries to go home again. But the place she once called home has long since been abandoned and those she once knew have passed into shadow.
I recently saw this movie again on TCM, Turner Classic Movies. It has more meaning today than ever... because the Anglo Texas I was born into and grew up in... has also long since passed into shadow.
As the credits at this end of the movie scene and hymn say... it was filmed in the Dallas area.

The drawn out hymn that I couldn't comprehend, made some sense when they posted the words/lyrics.
"Calling home sinners"; Went back to write down one of the lyrics, and the whole thing was filled with blurry names and no more lyrics.
Any way, Our Creator says the wages of sin is death. So why would He be calling sinners home?
Most hymns I've ever heard were futuristic and begging, such as: I want to be good. I will be good, make me good in various forms.
Churchianity is lost in future-ism.
YahShua said, when you pray, believe you already have it. Only way to do that is to pray, Thank You, for whatever you're requesting.
