this tid bit would almost certainly have made him the owner of the drugstore itself. while i wouldnt say his upbringing was upper crust, i will bet he lived better than most as a child. hardly humble IMO..

i recall mr. dunaway who owned "dunaway rexall drugs", this would be back in the late 60's, as i recall he was treated as a affluent member of the community.. a far cry from poor he was..

much nicer than what anyone i knew growing up lived in.
again, solid middle class (brick homes when i was a kid was considered upper middle class) is not what we in the south consider "humble beginnings."

i came from "humble beginnings", meaning we had a outhouse till i was in 5th grade..

all this in the interest of clarity of course..

This whole occupy movement is not about returning to the ideals of the formation of this nation. You have to be so unbelievably high to think that.

You were all wringing your hands a couple years ago about Obama's army, and the snippet on how he had plans to fundamentally change America...
What do you know about the occupy movement? Have you been there personally or spoken to the people there?

I get Glenn Beck's newsletter because I used to be an avid listener/viewer/reader. If you're reading his propaganda or watching Fox News you're being fed lies about the occupy movement. Why don't you go down to the one in Seattle and see what they're protesting? Many of them are getting it that the government is little more than a puppet show to pave the way for the big banks and corporations. Are Fox News, Glenn Beck, and the like showing you that side of it?

Here's some video from last night's local news in Seattle to save you a trip:

And what do you mean by "You were all..."? I never came close to supporting Mr. Soetoro or whatever that Marxist Muslim's real name is.

BTW, I like the poster. The Patriot Act didn't seem that obvious either, did it?

I suppose it boils down to relative perception. I said humble, not barefoot, hand me down clothes, coal mine dirt poor.

    Hardly the country club set.

I grew up in the South too.

I know what I see, what I read, and if it walks like a duck, talks like a duck. It really is a duck.

Whoever mentioned Fox News or Beck. I hardly watch TV. Nice strawman........you fail.

So I have to participate with these people to formulate a legitimate opinion about them?

Grow the efff up, and come back at me with a real argument.

What I see are the same douchebags from not only the Stewart/Colbert rally, WTO riots, and the Anti-war riots from the time of the Bush administration.

    Out and out freak show.

BTW, what happened to the war? It must be over, because I haven't seen a major protest since '08. Neat how that worked out, huh?

You keep buying the bullsh!t, and I'll keep calling it the way I see it.

And the way I see it, you've been duped. Darwin has a special prize for you.

Oh, that's funny! When people use the language you used it makes me feel bad if they didn't get a refund for their vocabulary education. The name-calling and stereotyping look really shallow. You probably really believe that the Republicans started the tea party protests too, don't you. No - that's just the side that pumped in all the money and press coverage.

I'll take your word for it that you didn't get all your information on the occupy movement from Fox News or the ilk of Glenn Beck. That makes me wonder where you got such a strong partisan opinion on the people participating in these protests. I maintain that virtually all sources of media that don't come from personal witness are heavy propaganda to keep you out of the middle on this issue. I also maintain that one has to be brain-dead brainwashed to not see the way our middle class has been robbed blind by the financial-military-corporate-socialist complex that dictates everything in this country.
