Default Anyone Have Recipies For Mulberries?

I have a small bush of black mulberries and they're almost ripe. I found a recipe for cobbler, but I'm not too happy with it. Any suggestions?

Did it call for lemon? Mulberries are pretty bland. If you add some lemon, it should enhance the flavor.

Thank you for the suggestion. I'll add some zest, or should I use juice? The recipe I have calls for 2 cups berries.

Either will be fine. It's amazing what a little lemon juice will do to perk up bland berries. And I wish I had a mulberry bush. The old homesteads all had a mulberry and a quince in the front yard. I have often wondered if they made mulberry/quince jelly.

This is the way we make our jelly, make our jelly, make our jelly.....

    HeHeHe

I've been trying to find elderberries! The place that I used to get them ripped out the bushes when the Mother died.

I have never tasted mulberries. But, I think it is sad that they would take out bushes with fruits or nuts in them. Our town cut down a tree because they thought it was dead....silly guys didn't know it sheds the needles every year!! And grows them again just like trees with leaves. It broke my heart as they are so rare now. Tell us how your berries come out please.
