A good point made. It's worth considering that AB has been what could charitably be described as "hyperbolic" of late.

She could be called much worse less charitably, however, and the accuracy of same is hard to dispute. Even I once referred to her as acting like one of those crazy cat ladies.

Though in this case, she makes something of a point. The rape angle will be active, even if it's not quite to the point R. Crumb envisioned, and the point AB is likely envisioning herself. File it under "general lawlessness".

I'm not so confident of that. Way too many milquetoasts in suburbia who have never been in a school yard scrap, let alone a knock-down drag out fight to the death.

Also another observation the inner city folks are used to being part of a gang - it is part of their life style.

the suburban folks have no clue & are very hard to get organized for just about anything.

Respectfully, I think that is part of her argument, and trying to get people to confront the idea that such a "strike team" decision is needed earlier rather than later... Or maybe I'm mixing in Bracken's essay by mistake in this thread?

Things are not the same with A city. In the past cities were a walled place of refuge cause the threat came from out to in, thus the reason the rual areas got raided first. Today the hordes want to come out from the inside.
