'Border War - Warning Order' by 'Black Jack' Hawkins is a new book that's free on Smashwords:

The author seems to know what's going on with drug cartels etc. on the Texas-Mexico border, and it's a good read, but I found a couple of errors that cast doubt in my mind: In one place he says an AK-47 fires 7.62x54, although he gets it right the other time he mentions it, and he shows a picture of a Winchester model 1897 shotgun and calls it a model 1912. He dashed this off to advertise a longer book he's coming out with soon, so maybe it's just being in a hurry.

The book has links at the end to some interesting blogs related to the situation in Mexico.
