What is German chocolate?
German Chocolate is in baking section of the grocery store, It comes in a small package and is one piece. And rather expensive. But adds another dimension to the flavor of the fudge.
The ant works for his food, I think God expects the same of us.
Thanks, Irene. I have a favorite one I use every Christmas, but this one sounds sooooooo much better. Will try this one this year. Thanks again. Judith
I make a very similar recipe to this one, and it is the best fudge ever! The only change in the recipe I use is mini marshmellows instead of marshmellow cream.
He said to them,"But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one." Luke 22:36
I wanted to try this recipe along with my other fudges this year but didnt have all the supplies on hand - so I changed it up a bit. The family loved it so I wrote it down - will share here:
My Version of Million Dollar fudge
1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
4 Tbsp butter
1 ½ cups chunky peanut butter
4 oz bar German Chocolate
18 oz semi sweet Chocolate Chips
2 pts marshmallow cream
2 tsp vanilla
Pinch salt
In a heavy pan, slowly heat milk, peanut butter, salt, and butter. Add chocolates and stir often over low flame till chocolates melt. Stir in marshmallow crème. Beat together by hand. Pour into wax paper lined pan and refrigerate for at least an hour before cutting.
