It's my understanding that most teachers aren't armed in Israel, rather each school has armed security.
“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again in the yoke of bondage.” (Galatians 5:1 KJV)
Won't bow to man. Won't bow to government. Won't bow to greed. Won't bow to false hope. Won't bow to self. Won't bow to modern code. Won't sell my soul to a dead world. I Defy.
- The World is a Thorn
1) The arms are available to the teachers.
2) Those teachers are military service veterans. ALL of them.
3) US teachers are unlikely to be trainable to that standard.

"I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing....only I will remain"

You can and must find teachers that will take weapons training.
If they refuse, then they are no longer teachers. Protecting the students is no longer lip service and matter of policy on paper.
In this day and age, Israel has shown all of us the way. Their schools are even built to withstand rocket weather. Students are sufficiently protected that class goes on uninterrupted while ordnance blows up all around. How cool is that?
And what do we do? The same old same old until Checnya or something truly big happens and then the Government strips it all.
