Exclamation Breaking: Winchester Recalls .22 Ammo

I have posted this on the COC because it is a safety concern (double charge)

    Winchester .22lr's

Hate them anyway. I have had so many of the fail to fire. Tried them out of 10/22,revolvers , bolt action and way too many of them will not fire. Variety of types, boxes and over years.

Someone always brings them to a shoot and seen the same problem

I would say there QC has never been very good ,at least on that caliber.

Sure would have been nice to know a ball park date of manufacture! I sent them an email and ask same. We shall see. I hate to have to dig through all the stash if not necessary.

Looks like it is just their "M-22" line that is recalled.

Well, that's one more way to get ammo off the market. Glad I didn't fall for that ammo; too much $$$ for 'tactical' (HA!) 22.

Looks like my stash just got more valuable!!!

So - what's the chance you send your ammo back and get a replacement? I'd bet zero or less.

Wonder if QC is dropping all over the place as they ramp up to meet demand and are hiring new folks not totally familiar with things.

    Default Nice of them.....

Round nose 22 LR is most often seen at Scout camps and summer camps Finally used up the last of this brand a couple of years ago; had to check the bore everytime a weak pop was heard so it took a while.
