No intellectually honest person can deny the scholarship of Ernest Martin that Rev. 12:1,2 clearly points to the birth of Christ. I'm willing to entertain that the 'sign of the Son of Man' is a celestial sign, but I'm not ready to connect it to Rev. 12:1,2. Let us rejoice that He is returning soon.

I had personally known Dr Martin for many years starting in the mid-70s. He was always inquisitive, thorough in his analysis, always fascinating to listen to. His books are well worth anyone's time to read.

I didn't necessarily always agree with some of his conclusions tho in his articles.

Wonderful thread; thank you Thor. To add to your thread here are some thoughts.

1) Ten Grand Jubilees from the 95 Thesis of October 31, 1517 places us in 2017 October. Note see Daniel 9:24. We are given seventy weeks of years and then the last week. That makes a nice fit for 500 years. Off by three years which upon meditation many answers the Spirit gives.

2) 153 fish were caught by Luke 5:1-11 and this is 9 times 17 or could point to the years 2009 through 2017.

3) J. R. Church and the Prophecy of the Psalms points out that 109 or 2009 is the Antichrist Psalm and someone comes to power in that year and reigns with deception and beast like nature.

4) The Hallel psalms that are sung at the last supper are 113-118. A deep study of those points to 113 and 114 being quiet years but 115-118 being years of great change.

5) Psalm 117 pointing to 2017 is the shortest chapter in the Bible like the pause in between breaths.

6) Psalm 118 points to a great struggle, like a post tribulation day of wrath where the saints do their work to clean up what is left of this world.

7) Psalm 119 is the longest chapter in the Bible and it has 22 subchapters pointing to the Hebrew ABCs which would be natural to have to reteach or start to teach at the beginning of the 1000 years.

2021 the sun is Eclipsing in the place where the man has his foot on the snake which could signify the time of Satan's imprisonment for almost 1,000 years.

9) Going back to the number 17 which is 10 plus 7 or perfection of God mixed with perfection of man. If we take tennis balls and make a three dimensional arrangement that is 17 tennis balls high and makes a pyramid we come out with the age of Methuselah who dies as righteous right before the flood (day of wrath) which is 969.

10) If you take the fact that the first coming is in Judah which is the blessing and the second coming is in Joseph which is the birthright and perfection of the saints to become sons of God and you take the two years in prison when he tells the dreams and the 14 years of plenty and famine we come out to 2017.

11) If you add the chump change left over from a year which is 365.24.. and multiply it by 6,000 years in one calculation you come out to the exact time of the great Tsunami of December 26, 2004 and then if you add seven years of plenty and seven years of famine you come out to October of 2018 using 360 day year counts and again if we have seven years of tribulation of the saints and one year day of wrath this would fit.

12) If we meditate on what is happening with eclipses and where the sun is in the next five to six years we also get incredible meanings.

I see some have a little trouble in understanding the timeline of Revelations, and since the original writings of scripture NEVER had chapters and numbered verses, lets take away these centuries later man-added breaks to help the flow. When one reads how the writer intended the passages to be read, one sees the continuous flow of the vision. It is in the latter days during the reign of the Beast that we see all these events and signs occurring. NOT at the first birth of Messiah, BUT at His second.


"And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven (angels), and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born." (Symbolic of the Beast armies that will be gathered against Jerusalem-assembled at har-Meggido and the Valley of Jezreel- WHEN the Messiah returns to Mt Olive and enters the city. These Beast armies are assembled to fight Messiah at His second birth-coming)

There is a Super Moon every 14 months. On September 28, 2015
(the last blood moon of the tetrad) there will be a Super Moon plus total lunar eclipse, on feast day and seen in Jerusalem. Quite a finale!
