I make mine with frozen cranberries too. I forgot to mention that. But I leave out the banana because, if I use it, it becomes all I can taste, so I combine all of the other fruits to get ones that I love. Also I cannot eat or drink anything from the citrus family. So, just use other fruits. Great smoothies just the way you like them without the big $$.

I just made this one that my daughter gave me, this morning.

    High Fiber Smoothie
    1/2 Cup yogurt
    2 Tbs Flaxseed, ground
    2 Tbs Millet or Oats
    1 Whole Banana
    Almond Milk to consistency
    Add fresh fruit if desired

[I added about 1/2 cup frozen, thawed Rasberries and about 1/2 cup of Welches Strawberry Breeze juice (and 1 cup Almond Milk)
    I used the millet.)

This morning, I put my single serve Blender to a test. I've put away my larger blender and have been using this one for my morning Smoothies. This morning, I tested it by adding a whole banana (recipe is Post #3 above). This blender performed wonderfully, and now I know this is the ONLY blender I will be taking on the road.

I bought a small single Hamilton Beach blender for smoothies $12-$14 - You can drink it while driving. I usually put just a small amount of fruit juice to whatever I throw in -- (strawberries, blueberries, or kale, spinach -- banana, shredded zucchini) I don't eat enough fresh veggies so that is my way of doing it)
