i'm not understanding, tony. are you saying that people do it? i know they do, but i don't think it is officially condoned or promoted. did i miss something in there? i am not positive about it, that is why i said i think that they don't. do they promote it or condone it?

Funny thing about Christians that look down on memorized prayer -- they never seem to have a problem with memorizing Scripture or memorizing worship songs or hymns. Some Evangelicals that criticize liturgy as being "rote" or "ritualistic" seem to enjoy the trance-like state induced by some of their highly repetitious worship songs. And I speak as an Evangelical myself. I think we all need judge our own religious practices and discover for ourselves what brings us closer to God.

Also be sure to get my IP and name correct for that list that you claimed to be making on another thread. It is my goal to get on the list of as many tyrants and would be tyrants as possible. Until you showed up I had to settle for just the average list that our government kept but you have offered and I embrace this whole new frontier of possible lists that I can get on.

as you know I grew up Roman Catholic in New York City and I still have the scares on my knees from being made to kneel on serrated tin kneeling pads as a kid while saying my Hail Maries.

I understand that many parishes in the United States don't follow the same ordinates just as the some Protestants don’t follow the same doctrines.
