I've looked around at your past posts and do not see you making any positive contributions or offering any solutions to the issues we face in this country. If it is okay with you, or not, that others attempt to make a positive change in this we will continue to try. But somehow I suspect you will continue spouting your negative opinions just like so many did at the founding of this nation. After all only 1/3 of the colonists supported the American Revolution and it does seem like you would have joined the majority who did nothing all those years ago.

In an atmosphere laden with grand gestures, this Article V nonsense is simply another exercise in political masturbation.

As Chicom mentioned, where are the delegates from the respective state legislative bodies? Three guys from the East Armpit bowling team or the Chilicothe Chowder and Marching Society won't cut the mustard. That is also a drooping mile marker on the road between American decline and the current poisonous American apathy. Nobody cares. As Earl Sinclair pointed out, it is a grand gesture without hope.

Very much in context with the Captain of the Titanic assuring his passengers that everything will be OK. Well, we know how that ended.

There are few credible solutions for reasonable men of faith, courage and intellect these days. You know that. An Article V Con-Con? How long do you think it would last? The current Administration would declare a National Emergency (insurrection - thus conveniently invoking the acres of Homeland Security crapola), declare your proclamation null and void, then set out to hunt down and liquidate the participants.

Obama may not leave in 2016. A third term has been the topic now and then. He thrives on power and control. He will never yield either component to a bunch of anguished folks holding a gathering without his advise, consent or participation. The dirty S.O.B. just ordered the American flag to half staff for Nelson Mandela. One terrorist criminal honoring another of his brethren.

Chillicothe is spelled with 2 l's :).. Ohio's first capital.

Sadly I dont think there is a solution. Its all downhill from here. The only solution would be a return to what our original founding fathers intended. No welfare, central bank, income tax, standing army, ect..

The meeting today is made up of current sitting state legislature representatives. The organizers have asked for 3 representatives from each state. The last numbers I saw had 30 states who are sending delegations.
