How many drugs have been on the market for years before a problem developed in the long term and they had to be pulled..

Please do some basic research on what GMO is. It's not hybridisation. For a plant or animal to be GMO, a gene from another species or organism has to be added to it.

The genes involved sometimes make the plant poisonous to insects who eat the plant. But we are led to believe that everything is all okay with them, even though they have done no long term testing to prove the safety in humans of their products.
