    i may not live there now, but I have strong ties to Texas and know the history and attitudes very well.
    Careful...the older I get, the less "life sentence" is a deterrent.

    Powder, Sadly I'd have to agree with Microcarl on this one. I've lived in Tx since 1998 and the change in the attitudes even in the last 7 years is incredibly bad. I've read several times that there's a huge push to turn texas "blue" and I believe it.

    While the odd "limp wrist" attitude USED to be confined to the liberal Austin area-that's not the case anymore. EVERY city of ANY size has been zombiefied. In part, I'd moved to texas thinking it would be a "last bastion". Not so much :(
