I seem to remember a link so that we could send a contribution over the net without having to resort to the mail.
    Is that still available?

Stats show >10,000 members with 940 active, and there arent enough people donating to keep it alive? Kill it. Apparently we're overrun with scum-sucking liberals who want everyone else to pay their way. I love the place HW but go enjoy life. Time is too short to spend whats left dragging people along. We'll all meet up somewhere down the road.

When I see these, I feel terrible for my negligence.

Forcing Housewolf to come with his hat in hand each month.

I get a lot from here and I'm sure others do, too.

I seem to recall a while back that it took a minimum of $1000K a month for this.

If 941 active members each gave $2 each month there would be surplus

Actually Davey, we run considerably leaner than that at this point. But we received about 1100 via paypal since August.

    We're not that lean.

We have a small group of folks who donate very regularly, some every month, some quarterly or several times annually.

But the majority, and I mean 98%, don't feel compelled to help at all. Herein lies the rub.

I apologize for the infrequency of my contribution.
But, if those 941 active members gave only $1...

Paypal doesn't charge fees and it's cheaper and more secure than stamps

I Administrate an automotive forum that 13,550 members as of today. It costs very little to keep it up and running smoothly, but it does cost. Nothing is free. We approached 3-4 automotive companies about sponsorship. Year-One and a couple of others are our sponsors now. They have a small banner above the forum and a small banner below the forum, but no ads IN the forum. Our members pay nothing, and we never ask them to. The bills are paid by our sponsors for a little bit of ad space. We have smaller sponsors that sponsor a certain section of the forum and not the whole forum like Year One does. All you see when you get on the forum for our smaller sponsors is something like this: "Restorations And Upgrades" Sponsored by "XYZ Company. That is all they have on the forum. When you enter that forum, there are no ads. Perhaps something like that would help keep the rent paid here. There are many, many companies that we use everyday. Maybe find a small few that we would like to support and ask them if they would like a small ad for a small fee? It works for us.....
When all else fails, I just ask Ms. Oldschool. She knows........

    HW/Breezy:

Could you re-post the mailing address? (I don't do electronic anything with money) My intricate, analog system has failed once again. I will help contribute.

I feel very guilty. I wish so bad I could afford to send something.
But I've been barely making ends meet for some time now.
I want you to know Housewolf, how much I appreciate the opportunity to be here.
I get so much from and just plain enjoy being here on the Tree.
    It almost seems like family.

I promise, if or when my situation improves, support will be sent asap.

Thanks again for this wonderful online home.
