Bill Nye on Europe's Jews: If Only They Were More Neighborly

    By Jack Coleman | February 22, 2015 | 12:11 PM EST

Heck, who cares if the "neighbors" in question have a knife to your throat.

Bill Nye, foppish self-proclaimed Science Guy, appeared on Real Time with Bill Maher this past Friday night and demonstrated why he ought to stick with his true vocation as a global-warming bedwetter.

During a panel discussion on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's suggestion that European Jews fearful for their lives should come "home" to Israel, Nye mocked the idea and blamed Jews for not being friendlier to predators who consider it a holy rite to slaughter them --

MAHER: Speaking of which, you know, what about this anti-Semitism that's going on in Europe?

DIRECTOR ROB REINER: It's never gone away, that's the thing. You know, thousands and thousands of years we've had anti-Semitism. It's been lowered, it comes back, we had it, you know, obviously during the Second World War and then all of a sudden we have Germany emerging very liberal and all that.
Compared to the very conservative, uh, national socialism that preceded it ...
REINER: But this undercurrent of anti-Semitism has always been there. Just like racism, it's always there and then it just bubbles up to the surface every once in a while. And it's horrible now.

MAHER: Yeah, I mean, Netanyahu is asking European Jews to come to Israel and ...

NYE (wryly): Come home to Israel -- that's what he said, right?
MAHER: Well, I mean, he is the ...

NYE (interrupting again): But you never, the people have never been there. They live, grew up in whatever, in Germany or France.

MAHER: It's a shame that they should have to move, uh ...

NYE: Well, they probably won't either, 'cause it's not their home, you know.
Is it just me or does Nye embrace a narrow definition of what constitutes "home"? Apparently it is limited to where you live or where you grew up. The notion of anyone creating a "new home" is apparently beyond his comprehension. Reiner pointed out that Jews living in Europe today have good reason not to feel at "home," as did Jews living in Nazi Germany --
REINER: But you can understand it. There were German Jews that lived in Germany during the Second World War and that was their home. And, you know, at a certain point, you know, if your live is in danger, you want to go to someplace where you're going to be protected.
Not content to sound merely asinine, Nye decided to come across as deluded --
NYE: So, what do you do about it? I think you get to know your neighbors. And it's gonna take, what, does it take a century, something like that?
Got that? Bill Nye wants Jews in Europe to disarm jihadists by invoking the immortal words of Mr. Rogers -- would you be mine, could you be mine, won't you be my neighbor? And yes, approaching the problem this way could very well take a century, something like that -- at which point there will be no Jews left in Europe, through mass murder and emigration, and the Nazis will have belatedly gotten their way. All because Jews weren't more darned neighborly.

What discussion of creeping Islamization in Europe would be complete without at least one apologist weighing in on what she sees as the real problem, namely the "right wing" reaction. Accepting this role during Friday's Maher show was Washington Post reporter Elahe Izadi. "And in addition to having anti-Semitic tints to them," Izadi said, "they're also very anti-immigrant and have a lot of nasty rhetoric about Muslims as well."

Ever notice there never seems to be a "left wing" backlash against jihadists?
They swore, if we gave them our weapons, that the wars of the tribes would cease.

Did Bill Nye Strategically Edit his 1996 Episode on Gender to Cover His Tracks?

"We have never been at war with Eastasia."

Didn't 1996 seem like a simpler time? That was back when we were worried about that weird mascot of the Atlanta Summer Olympics and whether Charles and Diana's divorce would be amicable. It was also before people commonly accepted that there were fifty-two genders. For example, watch how Bill Nye the Science Guy explained the science of gender during Season 4, Episode 8 of his hit show.

Here's the transcript of the video:
I’m a girl. Could have just as easily been a boy, though, because the probability of becoming a girl is always one in two. See, inside each of our cells are these things called chromosomes, and they control whether we become a boy or a girl. Your mom has two X chromosomes in all of her cells, and your dad has one X and one Y chromosome in each of his cells. Before you’re born, your mom gives you one of her chromosomes and your dad gives you one of his. Mom always gives you an X and a dad gives you an X too, then you become a girl. But if he gives you his Y, then you become a boy. See, there are only two possibilities.
Wait, wait, wait. This is in stark contrast to Bill Nye of 2017:

What gives? Well, science is a small thing compared to societal pressure to conform to ever-changing liberal standards. Maybe that's why somebody edited out the scientific explanation of gender from the original show. Daniel Payne of The Federalist has more:
On Netflix’s collection of episodes of “Bill Nye,” the 23rd episode, entitled “Probability,” is identical to that which originally aired in 1996—except that the segment on sex and chromosomes has been excised completely. The episode offers no explanation whatsoever. The show simply moves from the segment immediately prior the deleted clip to the segment immediately following it.
It is unclear if any other episodes of “Bill Nye” were edited or changed for distribution on Netflix. In the third episode in the fifth season of the series, entitled “Genes,” Nye claims that “the way you are…[is] determined by your genes.” This remark has not been excised from the episode’s run on Netflix.
Here's the problem wth the changing-with-the-wind values of leftists. Liberals can't admit they ever had a different opinion, since they characterize anyone with a different opinion as evil, small-minded bigots. Was Bill Nye teaching hatred and bigotry in 1996? Of course not. Perhaps the more interesting question is whether he's teaching it now.
They swore, if we gave them our weapons, that the wars of the tribes would cease.

Bill Nye: Older People Need to Die for Climate Change

    By Tyler O'Neil July 21, 2017

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Bill Nye "the science guy" suggested that older people need to die in order for everyone else to combat climate change.
"Climate change deniers, by way of example, are older. It's generational. So we're just going to have to wait for those people to 'age out,' as they say," Nye told the Times' Patt Morrison. In case there was any doubt about his meaning, he clarified: "'Age out' is a euphemism for 'die.'"
"But it'll happen, I guarantee you — that'll happen." Ouch.
To make matters worse, he blamed "deniers" for making the issue political.
"I'm not the guy denying climate change. You guys started it. I didn't want to be political," Nye said. Really? The desire for people to die to advance your own political agenda is nearly the definition of a totalitarian.
Here's the thing — the alarmists are exactly the ones politicizing the issue. They want the government involved, whether through job-crushing regulations, installing a carbon tax, or flushing taxpayer dollars to alternative energy companies. God forbid they let the free market solve the issue.

This focus on power explains why alarmists feel the need to stifle debate and claim the science is settled. Indeed, a Georgia Tech climatologist had to resign to keep her scientific integrity on the issue. Furthermore, there are serious issues with climate models, and prediction after prediction has proven false.
Americans are worried about climate change, and many companies have taken the initiative on
own to cut their carbon footprints. When President Donald Trump announced the U.S. would pull out of the Paris climate accord, the Left went crazy. But after the freak-out, Democrats discovered the virtues of federalism and local government.

Three Democratic governors announced they would abide by the Paris deal. This allows more local control on the issue, as liberal states can spend their own money fighting climate change without forcing the entire nation to do so. As former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg suggested, they don't need Washington.

If alternative energy technologies improve and become more profitable than fossil fuels, there will be no need for disagreement on these issues. It is the alarmists, not the skeptics, who are attempting to enforce their views on national policy.
Perhaps nothing underscored the focus on power more than Nye's statement that "we're just going to have to wait for these people to 'age out.'" Does he really consider climate skeptics as worthless human beings who will just have to perish in the name of progress?

Nye did admit he himself fits into this category. "I am now one of them," he said, referring to older people. This should have sparked a bit of healthy skepticism about his statement that climate "deniers" are all elderly. In a recent poll, a full 43 percent of millennials said climate change is not caused by human activity.

Bill Nye is far from an expert — he got his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering — and he has made quite a few rather unscientific statements in the past. This past February, he told Fox News' Tucker Carlson that humans cause "100 percent" of climate change. Granted, this isn't quite as bad as Stephen Hawking's bizarre suggestion that carbon emissions can turn the Earth into Venus, but that's a rather low bar.
If Nye insists on waiting until all the climate "deniers" are gone, he'll be waiting quite a while.

What if man-made "climate change" propaganda is an ironic cover for intentional man-made weather-manipulation and "carbon taxes" fund it.
