    Default ISIA: Isis In America

ISIS advises their agents to hide among the Leftists, is there a city any further left than Dearborn?
Alabama Muslima who joined Islamic State exhorts Muslims: “Go on drive-bys and spill all of their blood…Kill them”

April 21, 2015 1:25 pm By Robert Spencer 37 Comments
She was “radicalized via the Internet after she left high school, abandoning her family’s moderate Islamic views for the extremist brand of the faith that is embraced by the Islamic State.” Has anyone investigated and verified that her family and her mosque actually teach “moderate Islamic views”? Or is everyone just taking their word for it? Why was all the moderation that she learned from her family and at the mosque not able to withstand the appeal of the Internet radicalizers? Why don’t mosques in the U.S. have any programs to teach young Muslims why they should reject this understanding of Islam?
More on this story. “‘Spill All of Their Blood…Kill Them’: How a Suburban American Girl Hatched an Elaborate Plan to Flee Her Family and Join the Islamic State,” by Billy Hallowell, The Blaze, April 21, 2015 (thanks to Pamela Geller):
A business student from Alabama whose family came to America decades ago to build a better life abruptly abandoned her loved ones and fled to Syria to join the Islamic State last November, with the startling details of her story shocking her suburban community.
Hoda Muthana, 20, of Hoover, Alabama, graduated high school in 2013 and went on to study at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, before executing an elaborate plan to secretly leave for Syria, according to BuzzFeed.
“It seems bizarre just because she was so quiet and kind of kept to herself,” Jordan LaPorta, who graduated high school with Muthana, told AL.com. “But we’ve kind of learned over the years that sometimes it’s people just like that who are most susceptible to extremist groups.”
The unsuspecting young woman was reportedly radicalized via the Internet after she left high school, abandoning her family’s moderate Islamic views for the extremist brand of the faith that is embraced by the Islamic State.
Her official joining with the Islamic State came after she told her father that she would be taking a school trip to Atlanta.
But rather than go to Georgia, she reportedly traveled to Syria, instead, where she connected with the terror group and married a jihadist after just one month; less than three months later, her new husband died on the battlefield, though that hasn’t dissuaded her from perpetuating the Islamic State’s mission.
In a recent interview with BuzzFeed, Muthana, whose parents came to the U.S. from Yemen in 1992 before the birth of their children, spoke out about her decision to join the Islamic State and to leave her life in the U.S. behind.
“I started getting interested in my deen [religious life] around 2012,” she told BuzzFeed in an interview conducted over the messaging service Kik. “I felt like my life was so bland without it. Life has much more meaning when u know why ur here.”
It was through watching online lectures that her religious views began to transform, with her use of social media perpetuating an alternative persona — one that at least one source said was more extreme than Muthana actually was in person.
This intensified after she joined Twitter in 2013, as she began spreading hateful messages and encountering Islamic State members.
After orchestrating an elaborate plan to register for classes and immediately withdraw, Muthana used the money she would have paid to her university to travel to Syria and join the Islamic State. Since leaving, her father, Mohammad, has repeatedly begged her to come home, telling BuzzFeed that he immediately contacted the FBI when he realized that she had left to join the Islamic State.
“I want to apologize for what my daughter did,” he told the outlet. “I believe [she’s] been brainwashed. She’s not that kind of girl. They brainwashed her.”
Muthana said that she has no plans to return home and that she is happy that she joined the radical extremist group, despite her family’s desperate pleas. Joining the Islamic State, she believes, is in accordance with the true version of the Islamic faith.
“I’m not going to come back,” she texted her father upon his request for her to return home. “This is the right place for me to live and I am really ready to die, to meet my God as a true Muslim.”
Muthana’s Twitter messages on her now-suspended account @ZamuraIJannah show her terrifying level of devotion to the Islamic State, as she encouraged Muslims in America to “terrorize” non-believers, according to BuzzFeed.
“Americans wake up! Men and women altogether. You have much to do while you live under our greatest enemy, enough of your sleeping!” she wrote on March 19. “Go on drive-bys and spill all of their blood, or rent a big truck and drive all over them. Veterans, Patriot, Memorial etc Day parades..go on drive by’s + spill all of their blood or rent a big truck n drive all over them. Kill them.”
Mohammad fears for his family’s safety in Alabama, though he said he also worries for his other children — that they will not be able to get jobs and that he and his wife will be blamed for his daughter’s actions….
Ah, so he is already claiming victimhood and turning the discussion to talk of “backlash.” That was fast

San Diego: Muslims who tried to join Islamic State held without bail

April 20, 2015 8:53 pm By Robert Spencer 7 Comments
Neither law enforcement officials nor the mainstream media seem to have any curiosity about why so many Muslims from the U.S. try to join the Islamic State.
More on this story. “Terror suspects ordered held without bail,” FOX 5, April 20, 2015:
SAN DIEGO — Two 21-year-old Minnesota men, who allegedly traveled to San Diego over the weekend for fake passports to travel via Mexico to Syria to support the terrorist group ISIS, made their initial appearance in federal court Monday and were ordered held without bail.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Karen Crawford informed Abdirahman Yasin Daud and Mohamed Abdihamid Farah that they are charged with conspiracy to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist group and attempting to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization.
A prosecutor moved for detention on both defendants, alleging they were a danger to the community and were flight risks. A bail hearing was set for Friday in San Diego and an identification/removal hearing was scheduled for April 30.
Daud and Farah were arrested Sunday after allegedly driving from Minneapolis to San Diego to obtain fake passports, according to the criminal complaint.
Arrested in Minneapolis on Sunday were Zacharia Yusuf Abdurahman, Adnan Farah, and Hanad Mustafe Musse, all 19 years old, and Guled Ali Omar, 20.
“The six defendants charged in the complaint allegedly planned to travel to Syria as part of their conspiracy to provide material support to ISIL,” Assistant Attorney General for National Security John P. Carlin said.
The administration refers to ISIS as ISIL.
“One of the National Security Division’s highest priorities is to identify, disrupt and hold accountable those who provide or attempt to provide material support to designated foreign terrorist organizations,” Carlin said….
“As described in the criminal complaint, these men worked over the course of the last 10 months to join ISIL,” said Andrew Luger, U.S. Attorney for the District of Minnesota. “Even when their co-conspirators were caught and charged, they continued to seek new and creative ways to leave Minnesota to fight for a terror group.”

Six people have been arrested in two states in connection with a terrorism investigation in Minnesota, where investigators have been tracking youths who have traveled or tried to travel to Syria to fight with militants, including the Islamic State group, authorities said.
Mohamed Farah, 21; Adnan Farah, 19; Abdirahman Daud, 21; Guled Omar, 20; Hanad Musse, 19; and Zacharia Abdurahman, 19, were arrested on terror-related charges, according to a criminal complaint cited by local television station KARE. They are all from Minnesota.
"We have a terror recruiting problem in Minnesota," U.S. Attorney Andrew Luger said during a Monday morning press conference.
"The problem will not go away unless we address it head-on," he added. "It's not a Somali problem, it's not an immigrant problem. It's our problem. It's a Minnesota problem."
Ben Petok, a spokesman for the Minnesota U.S. Attorney's Office, said earlier that the arrests were made Sunday in Minneapolis and San Diego and that there is no threat to public safety, Petok added.
Authorities say a handful of Minnesota residents have traveled to Syria to fight with militants within the last year. At least one Minnesotan has died while fighting for the Islamic State.
Since 2007, more than 22 young Somali men have also traveled from Minnesota to Somalia to join the militant group al-Shabab.
Four Minnesotans have already been charged in connection with supporting terror groups in Syria, including the Islamic State group.
One man, 19-year-old Hamza Ahmed, was stopped at a New York City airport in November as he and three others were attempting to travel to Syria. Ahmed has been indicted on charges of lying to the FBI during a terrorism investigation, conspiring to provide material support to the Islamic State group, and attempting to provide material support. He has pleaded not guilty.
But there have been no public charges filed against his three companions, and little information had been released about them. An FBI affidavit said they are all between the ages of 19 and 20 and live in the Twin Cities

    Hey,

Just wanted to make a sight correction to Lenno's post:

In reference to That should not be "vowels" but "umlauts", which are the 2 little dots over the "a" in "schaden" in the street sign. 'Course it may be about vowels with out unlauts. Which is a german sign BTW.

What that has to do with ISIA, I don't know.

Brooklyn College student thanks Allah for the growth of the Islamic State

April 23, 2015 11:33 am By Robert Spencer 10 Comments

Last night I posted a photo of Muslim students at Pamela Geller’s talk at Brooklyn College making the raised index finger gesture that has become associated with the Islamic State, and on Twitter numerous Muslims and Leftists began ridiculing the idea that it was a gesture any different from anyone raising an index finger while making a point.
Let them explain this. Note that none of the Muslim students in the audience say a word to contradict or rebuke this student for declaring openly her support for this vicious group of “extremists.”
Pamela Geller has more here. Video thanks to David Wood

Our issue here will be a nuclear strike.... before they come to clean up the survivors....with the sword.
Educate others to grow our base of informed citizens, it's tyranny. Spread the Gospel.

Prepare wisely individually. An army runs on it's stomach.

Network with those who prepare wisely and take advantage of the strength in numbers and the economy of scale.

Then, when the curtains come down and the truth is evident to an informed citizenry, we unite and fight the new world order.

US cities increase security over Islamic State “kill list”

April 24, 2015 3:47 pm By Robert Spencer 9 Comments
Last month we had the story of the U.S. military personnel being targeted, but not the particulars of the cities targeted. They’re listed below. “ISIS releases ‘Kill List'; Seven Texas cities included,” NewsChannel10, March 24, 2015 (thanks to Pamela Geller):
The Pentagon has responded to a globally-released ‘Kill List’, asking law enforcement to give extra protection for military personnel whose personal information was released.
CBS News national security correspondent David Martin reports the Pentagon spent the weekend notifying the soldiers who appeared on the list, and urged city police departments and military police to increase patrol in the neighborhoods where the targeted live.
The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) published the list days ago, a report that contained names, photos, and home addresses of U.S. Armed Forces personnel, causing alarm in cities potentially at high-risk.
According to the publication, ISIS urges followers and sympathizers in the U.S. to kill the servicemen. Specific personnel on the list are largely from the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy – branches of the country’s military that have conducted massive air strikes against ISIS.
The air strikes have left ISIS mostly defenseless, killing over 8,000 fighters with attacks carried out on more than 5,000 targets. But ISIS appears to be fighting back through forms of social media.
The Pentagon says the the targeted appeared to be compiled from public sources — anything from news articles to Facebook posts that could have linked them to attacks on the terrorist group. Officials with the Pentagon say some members were incorrectly identified, but right or wrong, it’s still a threat.
Seven Texas cities were included on the list: Abilene, New Braunfels, San Antonio, Wyle, Fort Hood, Bedford, and Kileen.
Cities expected to increase in security due to the threat are below:
    ———–
Texas: Abilene, New Braunfels, San Antonio, Wyle, Fort Hood, Bedford, Kileen
    Indiana: Michigan City, Bolivar
    Michigan: Dearborn Heights, Lake Orion
    Connecticut: Barkhamsted, Manchester
    Nevada: Reno
    Georgia: Griffin
Maryland: Upper Marlboro, Warrensburg, Lexington Park
    Arizona: Phoenix
    Louisiana: Shreveport, Bossier City
    South Carolina: Daniel Island, Charleston
    North Carolina: Fayetteville, New Bern
Virginia: Burke, Virginia Beach, Suffolk, Springfield, Norfolk, Chesapeake
    Colorado: Colorado Springs
California: Manford, Solvang, San Ardo, Monterrey, Newberry Park, Carlsbad
    New Mexico: Farmington
    North Dakota: Minot
    South Dakota: Rapid City
Florida: Merritt Island, Palm Coast, Saint John, Middleburg, Saint Augustine
Washington: Colton, Cheney, Seattle, Spokane, Ancortes
    Nebraska: Bellvue
    Illinois: Orland Park
    Rhode Island: Newport
    Idaho: Bonners Ferry
They swore, if we gave them our weapons, that the wars of the tribes would cease.

Minneapolis Muslim threatens “massacre” unless Muslims arrested for trying to join the Islamic State are freed

April 25, 2015 9:03 am By Robert Spencer 8 Comments
He also said he was going to “whack that us attorney general.” And “Said also tweeted a photo of the informant who has been supplying the FBI with information on the six men now charged. The tweet has since been removed, but the charges say the FBI captured a screenshot, in which Said is shown calling the informant out as a ‘snitch.'” If what we constantly hear about Muslim communities in the West is true — that they reject and abhor jihad terror and are loyal pro-democracy pluralists — why wasn’t he congratulating and thanking the informant? Were any Muslims in Minnesota congratulating and thanking the informant? Or were they all, like Mahamed Abukar Said, angry about his role in the arrests?
“Man Charged With Threatening Att’y General Over Terror Charges,” by Nina Moini, CBS Minnesota, April 24, 2015:
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A Minneapolis man has been charged with making threats in retaliation over the six Minnesota men who prosecutors say were trying to join ISIS.
Mahamed Abukar Said is accused of tweeting that he would “whack” the U.S. Attorney General, and said that he would “kill for those guys.”
Ima whack that us attorney general
    — Mahamed Said (@ImMahamed) April 22, 2015
In reply to a tweet, he also said “the Feds are getting two choices. Either they gon free my bros or they gon have a massacre happen.”
@HafiaJay the Feds are getting two choices. Either they gon free my bros or they gon have a massacre happen then they gon take me too.
    — Mahamed Said (@ImMahamed) April 22, 2015
According to the complaint, Said also tweeted a photo of the informant who has been supplying the FBI with information on the six men now charged. The tweet has since been removed, but the charges say the FBI captured a screenshot, in which Said is shown calling the informant out as a “snitch.”
Said faces charges of impeding and retaliating against fed law enforcement and of using interstate comment stuns to make threats of injury.
The charges can carry a 10-year sentence upon conviction.
The arrests of the four men sparked many emotions, from sadness to skepticism to anger. And many said they don’t believe these men were really trying to go oversees and fight for ISIS as the FBI claims.
After news of Said’s arrest, Somali Community Advocate Omar Jamal urged others to be patient, denouncing anyone who wants to spread messages of more violence and hatred.
“It’s about a time we work with the government to come up with a solution to save our kids from war in Iraq and Syria, but also from prison,” he said.
Said’s next court hearing is scheduled for Wednesday. The western district court of Wisconsin will try the case because it is believed the threat was toward Minnesota’s U.S. Attorney, although the tweet said “U.S. Attorney General.”
Also on Friday, it was reported that one of the two men accused of trying to travel to Syria to join the Islamic State group would be sent to stand trial in Minnesota. A hearing is scheduled in San Diego for the other.
They swore, if we gave them our weapons, that the wars of the tribes would cease.
“As a general rule, the earlier you recognize someone is trying to kill you, the better off you’ll be.”
