Fresno already has a growing Muslim problem. Now the Muslim refugees are invading.

FRESNO, Calif. — The police responded to a call about a loud party on East San Ramon Avenue, but it wasn’t just any party: A sheep was reportedly being slaughtered in a backyard.
“Muslim refugees were unaware that slaughtering sheep is not allowed in the city,” the police wrote afterward in their report, which also stated that those involved “were advised to clean up the blood and mess” and warned that in the future “they could be cited.”
The animal, actually a goat, was killed by a Syrian refugee who later skinned, roasted and shared it with his Syrian neighbors in the apartment complex where they all live.
Refugees are typically placed in towns and cities such as Buffalo, N.Y.; Boise, Idaho; and Fayetteville, Ark., where resettlement agencies ease their transition to life in a new country. But they are free to move about the country like anybody else, and they sometimes land in places like Fresno that are not exactly prepared for their arrival.
Since late 2016, more than 200 Syrian refugees originally settled elsewhere in the United States have made a fresh start in Fresno, the largest city in California’s agricultural belt. They have been drawn there mainly by cheap housing.
But behind the low rent is a city struggling with high poverty and unemployment, making it more difficult for the refugees to secure jobs. And Fresno has no federally funded agency to help them find work, learn basics like bus routes and understand United States culture and rules, like with the practice of animal slaughter.
Syrian children turned up unexpectedly at Ahwahnee Middle School, needing vaccinations, trauma counseling, English-language instruction and academic support as a result of interrupted schooling. “It was a shock at first,” said Jose Guzman, the principal. “We never had to teach students who speak Arabic.”
But Muslim refugees represent a polarizing issue. Although all refugees undergo extensive screening before being approved for resettlement, some Fresnans have echoed President Trump’s concerns that the vetting isn’t good enough.
As the Syrian flow intensified, Turlock, a town about 80 miles north of Fresno that has been receiving Christian minorities from Iraq and Iran for more than a decade, was identified as a site with “decent housing, jobs and a welcoming mayor,” said Karen Ferguson, executive director of the International Rescue Committee of Northern California.
About 250 Syrians, overwhelmingly Muslim, were sent there. But the agency could not immediately house all of them, stranding some families in hotels for several weeks or longer.
Last fall, a few members of Fresno’s 15,000-strong Muslim community — Pakistanis, Yemenis, Iranians and Palestinians, among others — offered to help. Soon, they were welcoming four Syrian families to apartments that they had found for them.
Word traveled fast to Turlock and elsewhere that rent in Fresno was a relative bargain — about $450 a month for a two-bedroom unit in some places — and that there were people ready to supply furniture, food, clothing and more.
In a blue-collar neighborhood once dubbed “Sin City,” more than a dozen Syrian families with up to nine members apiece are crammed into two-bedroom units in two apartment blocks on East San Ramon Avenue, where the goat roast occurred in February.
…there have been no reports of anti-Muslim violence or vandalism. And Syrians keep arriving.

Seaattle Times King County sheriff’s detectives are investigating a sexual assault and brutal attack of an 83-year-old woman whose assailant used an open window to get into her room at a SeaTac assisted-living facility.

According to the Fire Department, the woman suffered serious head injuries and showed signs of having been sexually assaulted, the release said. She was taken to the hospital.


The woman told police she was alone in her room, watching TV with the window open, when she heard a noise and saw a man remove the window screen and climb inside, the Sheriff’s Office said.

He went to where the woman was sitting, hit her several times on the side of the head, wrapped his hands around her throat and choked her before sexually assaulting her, according to the Sheriff’s Office.


Deputies responded and a police dog used to help search for the assailant, but no one was found.

In Germany, a 25-year-old Afghan asylum seeker (below) raped a 60-year-old in Eichstät. He had asked the woman at the Herzogssteg in Eichstätt verbally for sex. When she refused, he grabbed her arm and dragged her into nearby bushes. There he tore her clothes off her body, put her on her stomach, then he anally raped her, while covering her mouth, so she could not call for help.

Kentucky: Muslim refugee convicted of terrorism loses bid to vacate life sentence

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – A convicted terrorist, who was living in Bowling Green at the time of his arrest has a motion to vacate, set aside, or correct his sentence denied by a federal judge.
Mohanad Shareef Hammadi pleaded guilty in 2012 to conspiring to ship thousands in cash, machine guns, rifles, grenades and shoulder-fired missiles to al-Qaida in Iraq.
He was sentenced to life in prison, which was affirmed on appeal.
A Magistrate judge said none of Hammadi’s arguments merited relief and his motion was denied. Hammadi objected to that opinion. The court agreed earlier this week to the Magistrate Judge’s opinion, with the exception of what it calls a single and ultimately insignificant factual mistake.
The order filed on Wednesday, a certificate of appealability was also denied for each claim in the motion.

MLive doesn’t consider it relevant enough to tell you, but Rodger Ketchman calls himself Rodger Abdul-Latif Ketchman, and is apparently a convert to Islam. That would certainly be consistent with his behavior toward the police and his neighbors, as once again we see a convert to Islam think his new Religion of Peace calls for violence. Why do so many converts to Islam misunderstand Islam in this way?

PITTSFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI – A man taunted police officers by waving and rubbing together the edges of knives in a small Ypsilanti apartment before he was shot by a member of Washtenaw Metro SWAT in a January encounter, police testified Thursday, July 20.
Two cases against Rodger Ketchman, 33, of Ypsilanti were bound over to circuit court following preliminary examinations Thursday at Washtenaw County’s 14A-1 District Court.
Ketchman initially faced charges of first-degree home invasion, carrying a dangerous weapon with unlawful intent and malicious destruction of a building costing $20,000 or more in damage for the incident on Jan. 13, 2017.
By the conclusion of the Thursday examination, however, he faced 14 new charges related to the encounter with police – seven counts of felony assault and seven counts of resisting, obstructing or assaulting a police officer….
Police were initially called to the Ypsilanti apartment building in the 700 block of Lowell Street when Ketchman began banging on his neighbor’s door with a crowbar, neighbor Emerald Cox, testified.
“He was saying, ‘I’m going to kill you,'” she said.
Cox said she’d had previous encounters with Ketchman, claiming he came to her door on Christmas Eve to ask if she and her family were part of the CIA.
She also said she saw him attack a neighbor with a crowbar on Jan. 12, an incident for which he is charged in a separate case with assault with a dangerous weapon and carrying a dangerous weapon with unlawful intent.
In that incident, neighbor Daniel Stults testified Thursday that Ketchman ordered him to get on the ground and bow before his god.
On Jan. 13, he knocked off Cox’s doorknob with the crowbar, she testified.
When she called police, then-Ypsilanti Officer Tommy Porter – now with the Hazel Park Police Department – and Ypsilanti Officer Anthony Schembri responded….
The two officers attempted to coax Ketchman out of his apartment, Porter said, but he kept yelling and said he wanted the officers to watch him wash his genitals.
He also told them they were trespassing, and said he would fight them and defend his property, Porter said….
When Ketchman opened the door with a knife and sword over his head, two SWAT members deployed their less-lethal weapons….

Oakland: Muslim indicted for social media support to ISIS, identity theft

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — An Oakland man has been indicted for trying to support ISIS, according to the Department of Justice.
A federal grand jury in San Francisco indicted Amer Sinan Alhaggagi on Thursday with attempting to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization, United States officials said.
The indictment says the 22-year-old Alhaggagi tried to give services and personnel to the Islamic State of Iraq, Syria, or ISIS between July and Nov. 2016.
“The indictment alleges that the services Alhaggagi attempted to provide included opening social media accounts for the use, benefit, and promotion of ISIS, and that the personnel he provided was himself,” a DOJ press release said.
The indictment also includes three counts of identity theft.
Alhaggagi allegedly used a stolen credit card to make almost $5,000 in fraudulent online purchases from a clothing company, FBI officials said.
In Nov. 2016, Alhaggagi was arrested by the FBI for identity theft, officials said. He was detained after his arrest because a judge said he was a flight risk and a danger to the community.
No arraignment for Alhaggagi has been scheduled.
If convicted, Alhaggagi faces 47 years in prison and $1 million in fines.

According to the document, Alhaggagi “was not currently employed and had spent significant lengths of time in Yemen.”
The government presented evidence to support a no-bail hold including instant messages allegedly sent by Alhaggagi and recordings made of the defendant by undercover agents.
Federal prosecutors feared he would “flee to Mexico and elsewhere.”
According to other court documents, the FBI originally took Alhaggagi into custody last November on identity theft related charges.

The bromance between leftists and Islam is an odd match-up. Not unlike the subject matter of this post. When you consider the left is extremely pro-gay, anti-patriarchal, and anti-religious, being besties with Islam is a head scratcher. Muslims enjoy throwing gays off roofs, beating their women, and murdering anyone who isn’t down with Allah. Minor differences. None of those things have stopped the left from embracing Islamists and their culture with open arms.
Welcome to Islamic acceptance in America. Next phase is fashion. American Eagle is now in the hijab business. I know what I’m buying for all the ladies in my life this Ramadan:

American Eagle Outfitters thinks so, considering the breakout star of its Fall 2017 campaign is a Somali refugee turned American model sporting a denim hijab.

There’s nothing empowering about a religiously-mandated headscarf. Failure to wear a hijab, be it made from denim or goat hair, earns a lady a quick trip to the stoning grounds. It wouldn’t be out of line to say the hijab is a symbol of “following your own unique path.” So long as “that path” leads to slaughtering rainbow-flag waving queers, Jesus Christ super fans, and connoisseurs of pulled pork sandwiches. Oh, and women who have their clits slit.
Let’s be clear: the hijab is a symbol of female submission and conformity. The exact opposite of individualism. Which hasn’t stopped first world feminists from adopting it as a hot new accessory. Ironically they’ve been slow to adopt the black eyes and leg irons. What better way to fight against the evil patriarchy than to adopt the most patriarchal vestment possible. Rather than reject the hijab, feminist-leaning fashion designers have opted to just make it trendy. If you can’t beat them, join them. So other Muhammads and Ahmeds can beat them.
This push from the left to embrace Islam as trendy will only end in heartache. Islam represents everything the left claims to hate: Patriarchy? Check. Homophobia? You bet! Religious fundamentalism? More than you could possibly imagine. Rather than address those issues, why not just make it fashionable? Sounds like leftism.

Islamophobia kills. We just saw this again in Minneapolis, when a 40-year-old Australian woman, Justine Ruszczyk Damond, was killed by a rogue cop.
It is a cherished fiction on the Left that there exists an “Islamophobia Industry,” a well-funded group of propagandists who spread hatred of Muslims solely to line their pockets. This is as ridiculous as it is libelous, but there really is an Islamophobia Industry, and it is a group of well-funded propagandists. In reality, however, it is not in the business of spreading “anti-Muslim bigotry.” Instead, it propagates the idea that Muslims in the U.S. are the recipients of widespread discrimination and harassment, and so must be accorded special accommodation and consideration. That idea has just taken the life of Justine Ruszczyk Damond.
Damond called 911 in Minneapolis Saturday night to report what she thought might be a rape. When police arrived, she approached the police car, and a Minneapolis police officer named Mohamed Noor shot her dead.





Mohamed Noor is a Somali Muslim. Last year, Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges expressed her excitement about his joining the police force:

I want to take a moment to recognize Officer Mohamed Noor, the newest Somali officer in the Minneapolis Police Department. Officer Noor has been assigned to the 5th Precinct, where his arrival has been highly celebrated, particularly by the Somali community in and around Karmel Mall.

Hodges was excited about Noor because he represented a religious and ethnic group that she was anxious to court. Mohamed Noor was a symbol of everything that Minneapolis officials valued most. They could point to him and say: See? We are not “Islamophobic.” We celebrate diversity. We love our Somali Muslim community, and when they see how they are loved, they will end all jihad activity, because violent jihad is just a reaction to injustices that Infidels perpetrate.
And so it was very important to the Minneapolis Police Department, and to city officials, that Mohamed Noor succeed. He graduated from a fast-track program to get onto the force in the first place. They had to have him.
But his competence as a police officer was always secondary to his ethnicity and religion. And even if he didn’t graduate, nothing would be done. To have removed him would have been “Islamophobic.”

Noor proved to be an incompetent police officer. There were three complaints against him in two years. A neighbor reported:

He is extremely nervous ... he is a little jumpy ... he doesn’t really respect women, the least thing you say to him can set him off.

When the neighbor heard that Noor was the cop who had shot an unarmed woman, he wasn’t surprised:

When they say a policeman shot an Australian lady I thought uh oh, but then when they said who it was, I was like, "OK."
