Online jihadis call for jihad murders of cartoonists in US, Australia

April 30, 2015 7:47 pm By Robert Spencer 4 Comments
Foreign Policy follows a generally dhimmi line, but the clueless Obama-era FBI reads it to gather its “intelligence,” so it is worth looking into occasionally. Here is a piece on ongoing attempts to intimidate the West into silence by calling for the murder of those who violate Islam’s blasphemy laws. It is precisely to show that we will not be cowed into silence by this violent intimidation that we’re holding our Muhammad Art Exhibit and Cartoon Contest in the Dallas area this Sunday.
Very few people seem to grasp what is at stake. Some of said that they cannot support such initiatives because they find the Muhammad cartoons to be in poor taste, and consider them in the same way that Christians regard Piss Christ — it’s legal, but that doesn’t make the people doing it any more admirable than other louts and mockers.
The insuperable problem with that line of thinking is that once again it leads either to bowing to violent intimidation, or to some authority being granted the power to decide which speech is acceptable and which isn’t — which is the road to tyranny. What is at issue here is not being respectful, or refraining from mockery, or deliberately provoking jihadis — what is at issue here is whether the West will submit to murderous threats, which will only lead to more demands for submission and more murderous threats, and whether it will accept Sharia blasphemy laws or stand for a free and genuinely pluralistic society in which people put up with offense even to their core beliefs without resorting to violence or attempts to gain hegemony over the group doing the offending.
At issue, in short, is whether the West will remain free, or submit to being muzzled. At stake is the very foundation of what makes for a free society.
“Online Jihadis Call for Attacks on Cartoonists in United States, Australia,” by Elias Groll, Foreign Policy, April 27, 2015 (thanks to Paul):
Australian cartoonist Larry Pickering is no stranger to controversy. The right-wing provocateur has drawn former Labor Prime Minister Julia Gillard clad in a ***** and is currently waging a campaign on his website against Halal meat. His depiction of the Prophet Muhammad being roasted on a spit as a pig sparked an array of threats, and in January, Australian authorities put Pickering under police protection.
In recent days, jihadis have once more begun an online drumbeat calling for Pickering’s murder, according to the SITE Intelligence Group, which monitors jihadi chatter and statements on the Internet. Other statements contained threats against American cartoonists as well.
On Monday, an Australian Twitter user and proclaimed supporter of the Islamic State militant group posted the address of the Australian, a newspaper that has published what the user, @AusWitness2, described as insulting images of the Prophet Muhammad. In the aftermath of the massacre at the offices of satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo, the Sydney-based newspaper was one of several outlets that published the magazine’s cartoons, which frequently depicted the prophet in satirical and sometimes unsightly ways. On Friday, @AusWitness2 complained about Pickering Muhammad cartoons.
On Thursday, an account purporting to belong to Mohamed Abdullahi Hassan, an American jihadi reportedly fighting in Somalia, called for attacks to be carried out in the United States similar to those on the offices of Charlie Hebdo.

Free Speech, “But” – Paris, Copenhagen, Now Garland Texas…

Posted on May 4, 2015 by sundance
Considering the jihadist attack in Garland Texas, it will not take long for the professional left to begin espousing the familiar tome: “free speech, but“….
There is no “but” in any sentence about “free speech”. It is, it exists, -or-, it is not, it does not exist. It is that simple.

The fact that a simple event depicting pictures of Muhammad needs to spend $10,000 to hire security -IN AMERICA- should be the real story. The fact that a simple event depicting pictures would be considered “controversial” -IN AMERICA- should be the sub line of the real story. Alas, these simple considerations will be lost amid the “but” crowd.
“But”, free speech does not protect offensive speech – is another familiar, perhaps the most frequent, refrain from the “but” crowd. Insufferably wrong. The only speech that needs first amendment protection is “offensive speech”, if your speech wasn’t controversial or offensive it would not need protection.
    As BigFurHat accurately opines:
[…] This event was to see if ordinary Americans could draw a F*CKING CARTOON without the penalty of death.
Apparently not. So why would you be sympathetic to hair-trigger unreasonable monsters in our midst? Why would you cower, rather than say, “ya, right, if I doodle your prophet I’m going to die. Not in America, Omar.” (link)
And, in a larger sense, showcasing this absurdity is exactly the purpose of the event.

Why do marchers march? Why do protesters protest? Why can every American carry their soapbox to any street corner or public square and stand atop it? Because the central tenet of our foundational principles says We Are Free To Speak. Period.
“But”, you must accept the consequences therein – yet another similar refrain. And what “consequences” should be allowable? “Consequences” yes, but drawing out those consequences while contrast against the foundational principle of freedom is exactly what the event was highlighting.
Authentic Islam, carried out to it’s fullest political construct, is antithetical to our U.S. constitutional freedom.
If the central tenet of any belief commands a person to kill another person for drawing a picture – it’s the belief that must be confronted within a society that values freedom, not the artist drawing the picture.
But”, other progressive societies restrict “provocative speech – another espousal from the “But” crowd. We are not ‘other societies’, we are a formed national society based on valuing ‘individual freedom’ not ‘collective freedom’. Our foundation puts the freedom of speech as the first freedom, the first amendment – a bill of unalienable rights endowed not by government or man.
We, our nation, were born as a constitutional republic, not a democracy. The outlined rights of the individual are embedded as more valuable than the rights of the state, so long as the expression of those individual rights does not impede upon the same rights of another – nor form a delivery obligation unto another individual.
But”, your expression of freedom (drawing a picture), is by measure and consequence, having an impact upon my ability to believe in my religion. A statement finally reached when having a conversation with anyone practicing Authentic Islam.
This is where it is claimed that the tenet of their belief demands they must not allow depictions of the Prophet Muhammad; and therefore an individual freedom of expression or belief is impacting their first amendment right to their religious belief.
That part of the argument is exactly evidence that Authentic Islam is antithetical to our U.S. constitutional freedom.
That part of the argument is exactly what the purpose of the event in Garland Texas was drawing out.

Free Speech, you either have it or you don’t….
    ….there is no “but”.
The Unwavering Failsafe – Just to make sure there never would be a “but” our forefathers cemented the first amendment with the establishment of the second amendment to protect it.

Last night in Garland Texas their foresight worked seamlessly.

“Free speech aside”. This is a foreign correspondent who also worked for the AP. Scary that we have journalists like this.
I’m willing to bet that she didn’t say this in the case of the Charlie Hebdo slaughter. And what would be the difference here? Ah, conservatives

Let's see, cops don't need warrents to search cars; towns can seize private property and then turn it over to private developers; the 2nd amendment is always under attack; churches will eventyally lose their 501c status and now, we're being told not to use 'provocative' speech so there goes the 1st amendment. If we don't wake up and stop this wanton attack on the Constitution, muzzie law is on the way. wait till the gimmydats get judged by those laws! prep and pray, the end has arrived.

CNN interviews Mayor of Garland TX

A perfect example of how the media suppresses/spins the imposing deadly reality of Islam on free speech in the news to the general audience. This video extracted the number of people hired as extra security (40) to represent the actual number in attendance (a sold out event). Of course, the organizers are merely a handful rebel rousers from out of town that come to upset the apple-cart of "peaceful" muslims being seeded into the community under the direction of the UN through the interfaith community programs within this administration and the last. Most from war-torn countries with no available data on hold ( according to national security) to vet their terrorist activities before they get here. Saudi Arabia doesn't accept any of these so-called "victimized" refugee muslims but they do have money to spend on Hollywood perps to make scores of asinine commercials on the plight of the refugee (the ones they created). And Iran. Christians and non-muslims are slaughtered. And they build high-tech security fences at the border. America has become the dumping ground for these unwanted murderous maniacs to bolster the number of those proselytized in the mosques/universities/prisons and public educational facilities. Let's not forget, there are firearm training camps for the wander youth who will sit beside little Susie/Johnny in the classroom when they arrive. But... hey, look at that pitiful homeless face you hard-hearted kafir. It's all the more reason... to work continuously to disarm the public through legislation by traitorous politicians because they know this cartel administration knows how to do some serious gunrunning with a wink/nod and fist bump for good measure. Fast and furious. The big poke in the eye is not submitting to their deranged politics of living under the sharia law prostituted in a cloak of religion as designated by the Koran. Islam means submission. No matter the race. America must never give in. http://www.frontpagemag.com/2015/mat...es-to-america/

Currently underway in the Heartland of America is an experiment in interfaith dialogue and coexistence: the Tri-Faith Initiative in Omaha, Nebraska. The goal of the Tri-Faith Initiative is to have a synagogue, a mosque, and a church located on a common piece of land, each with its own separate building; the Tri-Faith hopes to later add a fourth building as a shared Tri-Faith Center. The location for this venture is 35 acres in the Sterling Ridge development in Omaha. The original institutional members of the Tri-Faith Initiative were Temple Israel, the American Institute of Islamic Studies and Culture (AIISC), and the Episcopal Diocese of Nebraska. In 2014 the Episcopal Diocese asked Countryside Community Church to takes its place as the Christian partner in the Tri-Faith. On April 12, 2015, Countryside voted in favor of relocating its church to the Tri-Faith grounds and becoming the Christian partner.

The Tri-Faith’s Memorandum of Understanding states, “In working together, our vision is to build bridges of respect, trust and acceptance…” Unfortunately, Islamic doctrine prohibits Muslims from respecting, trusting, or accepting Jews and Christians (unless of course the latter pay the jizyah).
So I decided to contact three non-Muslims who are heavily involved in the Tri-Faith Initiative: Rabbi Aryeh Azriel of Temple Israel; Reverend Eric Elnes of Countryside Community Church; and Susie Buffett, daughter of multi-billionaire Warren Buffet, a member of Countryside Community Church, and Chairperson of the Sherwood Foundation.
I sent each of them the following e-mail:
In light of your extensive involvement with the Tri-Faith Initiative, I am interested in your view on the following matter.
The Vision Statement of the Tri-Faith Initiative talks about building “bridges of Respect, Trust and Acceptance” between Jews, Christians, and Muslims. This is a commendable idea, but how can such bridges be built when Islamic doctrine prohibits it? Please consider:
The Koran says the following about Jews and Christians:
    1. Allah is angry with the Jews, and the Christians are misguided because they believe that Jesus is the son of God (1:7).

    1. Muslims are commanded not to make friends with Jews and Christians (e.g. 5:51), although Muslims can pretend to be friends if the situation so dictates (3:2.

    1. Jews are among the worst enemies of Islam (5:82).

    1. Muslims are commanded to fight Jews and Christians until the Jews and Christians pay protection money with willing submission and feel themselves subdued (9:29).

    1. Allah curses the Jews and the Christians (9:30).

    1. Jews and Christians are among the worst of creatures and “will abide in the fire of Hell” (98:6).

Muhammad spoke for Allah (4:80), Muslims are commanded to obey Muhammad (59:7), and he is considered the timeless standard by which Muslims should conduct themselves (33:21). Consider that Muhammad said:
    1. Jews and Christians are each worth only half of a Muslim (Sunan Ibn Majah, No. 2644).

    1. Do not greet the Jews and the Christians before they greet you and when you meet any one of them on the roads force him to go to the narrowest part of it(Sahih Muslim, No. 2167).

    1. The Hour will not be established until you fight against the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say, ‘O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him(Sahih Al-Bukhari, No. 2926).

    1. The Jews were grave robbers (Sahih Al-Bukhari, No. 3452).

    1. Jews and Christians will take the place of Muslims in Hell (Sahih Muslim, No. 2767R1).

    1. I will expel the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula and will not leave any but Muslims(Sahih Muslim, No. 1767).

If the Koran truly consists of the commands of Allah, and if Muhammad truly spoke for Allah and is to be obeyed, how can Islam be a partner in building “bridges of Respect, Trust and Acceptance” with Jews and Christians?
Unfortunately, after sending the e-mail twice to each of the three, and after waiting a number of weeks, I have still not received replies from Azriel, Elnes, or Buffett.
    Non-Muslims and Islamic Doctrine
Why would the non-Muslim portion of the Tri-Faith Initiative appear to deny or simply ignore the Islamic doctrine that undermines the idea of this venture? Due to the silence of Azriel, Elnes and Buffett, we do not know.
However, we do know that there are many millions of dollars involved in the Tri-Faith Initiative.
In December 2011, the Episcopal Diocese purchased 6.35 acres of land in the Sterling Ridge development for almost $1.3 million. At that same time the Tri-Faith Initiative organization itself purchased 3.6 acres in an adjoining lot for almost $800,000.00.
In December 2011, Rabbi Azriel and the congregation of Temple Israel purchased 13.54 acres of land in that development for almost $3 million; this was to be the site of their new synagogue. In August 2013, the congregation moved into their new synagogue. It is 58,500 square feet in size (a third larger than the previous synagogue), and features stone from a Jerusalem quarry and artwork done by an international group of artists.
With the successful vote on April 12, 2015, Countryside Community Church can now move forward. Countryside’s new church will be an estimated 71,100 square feet in size; the existing church is only 58,000 square feet. The cost, including the land, is estimated to be about $25 million. Reverend Elnes stated that there was already $16.1 million in financial commitments, mostly from among the 1,500 congregation members.
Susie Buffett’s Sherwood Foundation is extensively involved. She was quoted as saying that she would provide an unspecified amount of financial support for the new Countryside church. In fact, according to available IRS records (Form 990’s), in 2011-2013 the Sherwood Foundation had contributed $191,000.00 to Countryside church. These records also showed that during that same time period the Sherwood Foundation had contributed $1,305,000.00 to the Muslim partner, the AIISC. This was almost 79% of the total amount of contributions received by AIISC during that time period. And during the years 2012-2013, the Sherwood Foundation contributed $270,000.00 to the Tri-Faith Initiative itself.
Millions of dollars have been spent, and many more millions will be spent, by non-Muslims to see the Tri-Faith Initiative a success. With so much money involved, non-Muslims could tend to view the Islamic doctrine that undermines the very goals of the Tri-Faith Initiative as a minor annoyance to be denied or ignored.
    Muslims and Islamic Doctrine
We have commands of Allah in the Koran and teachings from Muhammad that prohibit the idea of the Tri-Faith Initiative. Non-Muslims can deny or ignore them. But what about the Muslims in AIISC (now known as the American Muslim Institute)? They are committed to the Tri-Faith Initiative. After all, in December 2011, AIISC spent a little over $800,000 to buy 3.85 acres in the Sterling Ridge development. So let’s consider some additional, relevant Islamic doctrine.
Muhammad said that anyone denying a verse of the Koran could be killed:
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Messenger of Allah said: “Whoever denies a Verse of the Qur’an, it is permissible to strike his neck (i.e. execute him)…”
    Sunan Ibn Majah, No. 2539
In Chapter 59, Verse 7, the Koran specifically commands Muslims to obey Muhammad:
…And whatsoever the Messenger (Muhammad) gives you, take it; and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain (from it). And fear Allah; verily, Allah is Severe in punishment.
And Muslims are not only expected to know the Koran, but they are also expected to act on its commands. In the following authoritative hadith, Muhammad talks about the penalty for knowing the Koran, but not acting on it. He tells us what he saw when the angels Gabriel and Michael had taken him to visit the “Sacred Land”:
…we went on till we came to a man lying in a prone position, and another man standing at his head carrying a stone or a piece of rock, and crushing the head of the lying man with that stone. Whenever he struck him, the stone rolled away. The man went to pick it up and by the time he returned to him, the crushed head returned to its normal state and the man came back and struck him again (and so on).
When Muhammad asked about this man, the angels replied:
The one whose head you saw being crushed is the one whom Allah had given the knowledge of the Qur’an (i.e. knowing it by heart), but he used to sleep at night (i.e., he did not recite it then) and did not use to act upon it (i.e., upon its orders etc.) by day; and so this punishment will go on till the Day of Resurrection.
    Sahih Al-Bukhari, No. 1386
It is blasphemy for a Muslim to deny a verse of the Koran or a teaching of Muhammad. But it is also blasphemy, and potentially head-crushing, for a Muslim not to act on a command from Allah or a teaching of Muhammad. With this in mind, it will be interesting to see if the larger Muslim community in Nebraska decides to support the Tri-Faith Initiative, or follow the commands of Allah and the teachings of Muhammad.
They swore, if we gave them our weapons, that the wars of the tribes would cease.

Texas jihad gunman ID’d, was previously subject of terror investigation

May 4, 2015 9:31 am By Robert Spencer 28 Comments
“Simpson was well known to the FBI. Five years ago he was convicted for lying to federal agents about his plans to travel to Africa, but a judge ruled the government did not adequately prove he was going to join a terror group there.” He did it here instead.
And today the mainstream media is rushing to claim that we provoked them, brought it on ourselves, etc. The idea that in the face of violent intimidation we must kowtow and give the thugs what they want seems to be taken for granted as axiomatic by everyone.
“One of Garland, Texas Shooting Suspects ID’d, Official Says,” by Brian Ross, Rhonda Schwartz, and Randy Kreider, ABC News, May 4, 2015:
One of the suspects in the shooting in Garland, Texas, late Sunday has been identified as Elton Simpson, an Arizona man who was previously the subject of a terror investigation, according to a senior FBI official.
Overnight and today FBI agents and a bomb squad were at Simpson’s home in an apartment complex in north Phoenix where a robot is believed to be conducting an initial search of the apartment.
Officials believe Simpson is the person who sent out several Twitter messages prior to the attack on Sunday, in the last one using the hashtag #TexasAttack about half an hour before the shooting.
Local police said two suspects opened fire late Sunday outside a community center in Garland that was hosting an event displaying cartoons of the prophet Muhammad. One unarmed security guard was injured, but other security officers managed to fatally shoot both attackers before anyone else was hurt or killed.
Followers of ISIS had been sending messages about the event in Texas for more than a week, calling for attacks. One referenced January’s Charlie Hebdo massacre in France and said it was time for “brothers” in the United States to do their part.
