Here are a remastered album by Vintage Music with great songs performed by the little known but fabulous singer Teal Joy, and typical of her style and versatility.
Nicknamed "the Oriental Billie Holiday", Teal Joy is a Japanese-American singer from the 1950s belonging to the musical family of Pat Suzuki and Miyoshi Umeki.
Here we have two examples of her special talent: the first number installs an atmosphere à la Billie Holiday, the second number highlights her eccentricity and recalls at times Eartha Kitt's electric style!
Enjoy Teal Joy's big voice!
