    Tensions are Rising in Sweden
    by Fjordman

The Sweden Democrats, who are critical of mass immigration, on August 20, 2015 for the first time were polled as Sweden’s largest political party, with 25.2 percent support.[1] This put them just ahead of the Social Democrats, who have been the country’s largest political party for generations. The SD entered Parliament for the first time in 2010. They became the third largest party during the elections in 2014, and have continued to grow in popularity since then. These poll numbers are therefore not entirely surprising. However, it is likely that a brutal double murder that same month contributed to SD’s breaking this threshold for the first time.

On August 10, 2015, two Swedes [2] were stabbed to death by a rejected African asylum seeker[3] at an IKEA store in Västerås, west of Stockholm. The store closed for two days after this double homicide, officially due to “technical error.” The furniture giant IKEA is one of Sweden’s most famous brands internationally. To see random Swedes brutally murdered by an immigrant, simply for shopping in their own country, caused widespread outrage among many Swedes.[4] It seemed to demonstrate yet again that immigration is out of control, and that the establishment parties have failed to uphold basic security.
I have previously labeled Sweden one of the most repressive and culturally insane countries in the Western world. I stand by that assessment. It was true, at least in the past. Yet in fairness to Sweden, censorship and ideological indoctrination can be encountered throughout the Western world today. They are not unique to one country.
When opinion polls show that the Sweden Democrats could become the largest political party in the country, this is a major breakthrough. Even in Sweden, the negative effects of mass immigration will finally need to be talked about openly. I attribute this breakthrough to at least two key factors:

    1. Dissidents and independent websites have used the Internet and alternative media patiently to challenge the narrative presented by established mass media. This process took years, but their efforts finally paid off.
    2. The sheer force of problems related to Islamization, Multiculturalism, open borders and mass migration have simply become too big to hide. This is true for all of Europe, not just for Sweden.

Problems that were worrisome 15-20 years ago have now become alarming, even catastrophic. Europe and the wider Western world is stuck in a race against time: Will rising popular opposition to mass immigration be enough to stop the current inflow? So far, this has unfortunately not been the case. More drastic measures need to be taken to stem the massive inflow of asylum seekers and illegal immigrants.

In this age of doom and gloom, we should celebrate whatever good news we can find. It is good that opposition to organized national destruction is finally rising, even in Sweden. Nevertheless, on the negative side of the equation, we have to add a few factors.
First, the Sweden Democrats now rival the country’s largest political parties in size, but so far only in opinion polls. That is not the same as elections.
Second, even if the SD should indeed become Sweden’s largest party, the next election is scheduled to take place in 2018. That means, at a minimum, several more years of possibly irreparable damage done to the Swedish nation.
Third, no single political party in Sweden today is anywhere close to having a majority of the seats in Parliament. That probably means that the Sweden Democrats cannot substantially change the country’s suicidal immigration policies until they have convinced some other parties to do the same. This could happen, if the ruling elites feel squeezed by the voters. However, so far this has not taken place. On the contrary, all of the other established parties have closed ranks in order to keep the SD away from any position of influence.
Fourth, in the highly unlikely event that the Sweden Democrats should get a majority of seats in the Swedish Parliament, even that might not be enough. In order to stop Sweden’s slide into the abyss, they would have to withdraw from the Schengen Agreement and possibly the outdated United Nations Refugee Convention from 1951. Finally, they would have to leave the European Union (EU) entirely in order to reestablish effective control over their own national borders and laws. The leadership of the SD have so far not demonstrated any willingness to do all of this.
In summary, I would welcome a Prime Minister from the Sweden Democrats with a strong mandate to finally do something real about the runaway mass immigration that is destabilizing the country. Unfortunately, I fear that even if this happens, it will be like being made captain of the Titanic five minutes after it hits the iceberg.
As I warned in one of my essays already in May 2005, “Swedish culture is disappearing with astonishing speed in front of our eyes. If the trend isn’t stopped, the Swedish nation will simply cease to exist in any meaningful way during the first half of this century. The country that gave us Bergman, ABBA and Volvo could become known as the Bosnia of northern Europe.”[5]

More than a decade later, some of the major media seem to have a reached a similar conclusion. The country’s third largest city, Malmö, is probably the most Islamized city in Scandinavia. It has been rocked by explosions and bombs for several years.[6] Gothenburg, Sweden’s second-largest city, had been plagued by deadly gang shootings[7] and is a recruitment center for Jihadists to the Islamic State (ISIS). Stockholm was shaken by major riots in immigrant-dominated suburbs in May 2013.[8] There are fears that similar riots could return at any moment. None of the underlying problems have been solved, and there are reports of policemen, firemen or ambulances being attacked or pelted with stones. Even smaller Swedish towns now face similar problems.
In neighboring Denmark, the centrist newspaper Jyllands-Posten published an editorial on August 18, 2015 about these issues. It lamented that many people can no longer recognize what was once known as Sweden. Closing on a dark note, the paper concluded that unless the government is able to get a handle on Sweden’s immigration problems soon, the end result could be chaos and anarchy: “The security of Swedes depends largely on whether the government can solve problems with political solutions. If not, the solutions will be anti-political, in other words, violent and bloody. When those in power no longer have legitimacy, society is in danger of ending violently. This has happened in Syria, but it could also happen in Sweden.”[9]
Written at a time when Syria is engaged in an exceedingly bloody civil war, this is a stark warning indeed. Unfortunately, it is not without merit. Right now, both the “diversity” problems and the opposition to them are growing. This will ensure increasing polarization in the years to come.

Mass immigration and population replacement continues at full speed. Sweden is infamous for having the highest rape rates in all of Europe.[10] The general level of violent crime is high. Many native Swedes have family members or friends who have been raped, mugged or abused by immigrants. Resentment is quietly simmering beneath the surface. Trust in the mass media and in political leaders is plummeting. The economy has been put under increasing strain in order to finance a level of immigration that is not sustainable.
Quite a few people in Sweden and other Nordic countries have guns and a hunting licence. Meanwhile, the police have lost effective control over dozens of areas. This number keeps growing. Criminal gangs are becoming bolder. In some cases, ethnic gangs attack not merely each other or average citizens, but also police patrols or even police stations.[11]
I wish civilized Swedes who want to preserve their nation the very best of luck. I fear they are going to need it. But then again, the same goes for many other European nations, including my own.
They swore, if we gave them our weapons, that the wars of the tribes would cease.
“As a general rule, the earlier you recognize someone is trying to kill you, the better off you’ll be.”

Christian Asylum Seekers Hounded Out Of Immigrant Housing By Muslim Immigrants In Sweden

This isn’t ISIS or ‘terrorists’, presumably, this is just people who think they have the cultural right to dictate to others.
    Via Breitbart:
A group of Christian asylum seekers in Sweden were subjected to bullying tactics by Muslim neighbours for wearing the symbol of the cross.
The group consisted of two Christian families who lived in an asylum house of approximately 80 individuals – the majority of whom were Syrian Muslims. Described as “fundamentalist Islamists” by major Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter, the other residents told the Christians they were not to wear their symbols of faith in the building, and they would not be allowed to use the communal areas while they were in use by Muslims.
After being threatened and harassed on a number of occasions the small group of Christians, which are likely to have been Syrian Christian refugees fleeing the Islamic State, packed and left “fearing for their own safety”. A spokesman for the government migration agency responsible for the centre they had been staying in said:
“They dared not stay. The atmosphere became too intimidating. And they got no help… They chose themselves to organize new address and moved away without our participation because they felt a discomfort”.
Remarkably, the incident has not been reported to the police. Instead migration agency officials visited the home to “provide information about Swedish law” to the “fundamentalist Islamists” there in the hope of preventing them from acting unkindly towards Christians again.
They swore, if we gave them our weapons, that the wars of the tribes would cease.
“As a general rule, the earlier you recognize someone is trying to kill you, the better off you’ll be.”

    Default Sweden's Perfect Storm

The Refugee Crisis and Sweden's Perfect Storm

The disaster on the horizon is there for all to see.

    September 24, 2015
    Nima Gholam Ali Pour

In these days I am very worried about Sweden. Never before has the disastrous immigration policy that Sweden implements been so obvious in its failure, as it is these days, when Europe is in the middle of a refugee crisis. Each week, Sweden receives thousands of asylum seekers from the Middle East. At the same time, there are three important questions that the Swedish government cannot answer. The Swedish government does not know where these tens of thousands of asylum seekers will live, how they will be working and how this new wave of immigration will be financed.
Sweden is today going through its worst housing crisis in 50 years. The figures are frightening. According to Boverket, the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning, Sweden needs to build half a million homes by 2020. But the government's costly housing initiative that will cost $387 million annually will only lead to 250,000 new homes by 2020. That is the situation today. How the situation will be after the refugee crisis, and how many homes will be needed by then, no one knows. But a whole generation of Swedes will grow up in a society where homelessness will become part of everyday life.
According to the municipal housing office, Boplats Syd, in 2014 you had to wait 1049 days on average in a queue before you could get a tenancy in western Scania, an area where Sweden's third largest city, Malmö, is included.
In August, Sweden had an unemployment rate of 7 percent. Among young people (15-24 years) in Sweden, the unemployment rate in August was 20 percent. This means that one in five young people in Sweden are unemployed. Unemployment among young people born abroad is 70 percent higher than unemployment among young people born in Sweden.
Most economists in Sweden agree that the asylum seekers coming to Sweden will find it difficult to get jobs in the Swedish labor market, since Sweden is the country in the European Union with the lowest number of low-wage jobs. 2.5 percent of people who work in Sweden have low-wage jobs. This is extreme even in a Scandinavian context, when the same figure for Finland, Denmark and Norway is 5.9 percent, 7.7 percent and 7.3 percent, respectively. In other words, it is difficult to get your first job in Sweden, a painful fact which affects immigrants and young people. The asylum seekers coming to Sweden will probably face prospects of unemployment for several years.
When the new center-left government took over last year, Finance Minister Magdalena Andersson's first message to the Swedes was that the "barns are empty." In a Swedish political context, this means that government finances are weak. This message was followed up later with the government saying that it could not afford any major reforms. Thus, it is unclear how Sweden will finance this wave of immigration, where thousands of people from the Middle East arrive in Sweden every week.
Already in February 2015, before the refugee crisis began in earnest, the Swedish Migration Agency announced that it needed an additional $2.2 billion to finance its operations. Because adequate housing is lacking in Sweden, the Migration Agency has to pay for migrants' accommodations, which means that the more asylum seekers come to Sweden, the more the Migration Agency's costs increase.
Even the municipal costs will increase as newly arrived migrants often become a heavy financial burden for schools and social services. Sweden already has high taxes. This migration wave cannot be funded by taxpayers when the "barns are empty."

Today, no politician in Sweden can really explain how this wave of migration is going to be financed. The only option that remains is to impair the social safety nets in Sweden in order to finance the migration wave.
Amidst this dystopian situation where it is obvious that Sweden is facing a socio-economic and geopolitical disaster, there are influential people in Sweden who want to get as many migrants as possible into the country. The Swedish aviation industry has asked the government to amend regulations so commercial airlines can fly non-European nationals seeking asylum, to the European Union. Most newspapers in Sweden celebrate the people who welcome asylum seekers to Sweden. Traffickers smuggling migrants to Sweden are portrayed as heroes in the media. Recently, Swedish police officers uploaded a movie on social media where they welcome refugees to Sweden. Celebrities and newspapers call for tax increases so Sweden can accept more asylum seekers.
But while large parts of the Swedish establishment want to open Sweden to the asylum seekers from the Middle East, Sweden is isolating itself in a European and Scandinavian context. Other countries in Europe are not so enthusiastic about receiving too many migrants. In Finland, people are demonstrating against asylum seekers and Denmark sends the asylum seekers to Sweden. Germany has temporarily left the Schengen Agreement and introduced border controls. Sweden and its migration policy are isolated and seem extreme in the European and Scandinavian context.
Already the migrants who come to Sweden have started to protest. Asylum seekers require homes and jobs, and when they do not get this the reaction becomes anger and frustration. Right now, about 7,000 asylum seekers come to Sweden on a weekly basis. If the number of asylum seekers coming to Sweden each week does not increase, which it will do, more than 90,000 additional asylum seekers will come to Sweden before the end of the year. There will not be job opportunities or housing for them.
With the migration policy that Sweden has now it is inevitable that unrest will break out next year, or sooner. It is important to understand that Sweden is a country with 9.5 million inhabitants. More than 50 per cent of the Swedish municipalities have no more than 20,000 inhabitants. During this year and the next, many of these Swedish cities will undergo radical and irreversible changes due to the migration waves.
When instability begins in Sweden, it will be important to remember that the figures that showed what a disaster Sweden was heading towards were there for all to see. Sweden, whose cities often have less than 20,000 people received more than 100,000 asylum seekers in one year, but it had no homes or jobs to offer these asylum seekers. There is every reason to be worried about Sweden now. Sweden is sailing against the perfect storm.
They swore, if we gave them our weapons, that the wars of the tribes would cease.

SIOE Free Speech Event, Copenhagen September 26: Muhammad Art Exhibit

September 24, 2015 10:36 pm By Robert Spencer Leave a Comment
An important message from Pamela Geller:

Reminder. If you are in or near Copenhagen on Saturday, join our peace rally in defense of freedom.
Our European partners, Stop Islamization of Europe and Stop Islamization of Denmark, are taking a brave stand for free speech, despite savage threats by Muslim supremacists and craven sharia-compliant European government officials. Anders Gravers, leader of SIOE and SIAD (Denmark) and SION (Stop Islamization of Nations) Board member, will be holding these events in London, Copenhagen, Paris and Madrid.
Get your t-shirt here. Here’s the Facebook event:
    Time: Saturday, September 26
    at 1:00pm – 3:00pm in UTC+02
    Place: Axeltorv
    Axeltorv, 1609 København
This right is elemental. It is simple — our right to be free. Stop Islamization of Europe and Stop Islamization of Denmark will be holding an exhibition of our Texas Muhammad Art Exhibit on September 26, 2015.
In light of the international kill list of freedom activists, writers, and bloggers by an Islamic group, now is the time to stand up for freedom. NOW.
Freedom of speech is the foundation of a free society. Without it, a tyrant can wreak havoc unopposed, while his opponents are silenced.
Putting up with being offended is essential in a pluralistic society in which people differ on basic truths. If a group will not bear being offended without resorting to violence, that group will rule unopposed while everyone else lives in fear, while other groups curtail their activities to appease the violent group. This results in the violent group being able to tyrannize the others.
Islamic law forbids criticism of Islam, Quran, and Muhammad. If they cannot be criticized in the West, we are in effect accepting Islamic law as overriding the freedom of speech. This would establish Muslims as a protected class and prevent honest discussion of how Islamic jihadists use the texts and teachings of Islam to justify violence and supremacism.
I strongly urge my European readers who are fed up with Islamic law being imposed on freedom-loving people to go and stand in solidarity with freedom-lovers.
SIOE Event: Texas cartoon exhibition in Copenhagen September 26, 2015
SIOE will show AFDI/SIOA’s Texas Muhammed cartoon exhibition in Europe – in London, Copenhagen, Paris and Madrid.

SIAD Stop Islamiseringen af Danmark and SIOE Stop Islamisation of Europe have tried separate times to hold the Muhammed cartoon exhibition in Copenhagen.
The Police Intelligence (PET) in Denmark twice obstructed our efforts and convinced the leaders of the venues to reject our exhibition.
The third time it was the staff at Krudttønden – the place where an Islamic terror attack took place – who rejected our wish to hold it there.
We contacted PET and asked them to find a venue for us after preventing us from finding a place. They have not responded so we are going to hold a street exhibition of the drawings and cartoons. The police have given permission us to hold our event on the 26th of September.

Therefore: We will publish the Muhammed cartoons from Texas onto huge banners.
URGENT: Please donate and help make this exhibition possible. We need to pay for the transfer and the banners. We wold like to have the banners as big as possible.

With these banners our next stop in the exhibition after Copenhagen will be London and then Paris.
    Donate here:

    and mark it “exhibition banners”.

Sweden’s Acceptance of Refugees And Welfare System Imploding: ‘No Apartments, No Jobs, No Shopping Without a Gun’…

Utopia for Bernie and his Feel the Bern Crowd.
    Via Gatesone Institute:
The week after the double murder at IKEA in Västerås, where a man from Eritrea who had been denied asylum grabbed some knives and stabbed Carola and Emil Herlin to death, letters and emails poured into the offices of Swedish Prime Minister (PM) Stefan Löfven. Angry, despondent and desperate Swedes have pled with the Social Democratic PM to stop filling the country with criminal migrants from the Third World or, they write, there is a serious risk of hatred running rampant in Sweden. One woman suggested that because the Swedish media will not address these issues, Löfven should start reading foreign newspapers, and wake up to the fact that Sweden is sinking fast.
During the last few decades, Swedes have had to get used to the government (left and right wing parties alike) prioritizing refugees and migrants above native Swedes. The high tax level (the average worker pays 42% income tax) was been accepted in the past, because people knew that if they got sick, or when they retired or otherwise needed government aid, they would get it.
Now, Swedes see the welfare system failing them. More and more senior citizens fall into the “indigent” category; close to 800,000 of Sweden’s 2.1 million retirees, despite having worked their whole lives, are forced to live on between 4,500 and 5,500 kronor ($545 – $665) a month. Meanwhile, seniors who immigrate to Sweden receive the so-called “elderly support subsidy” — usually a higher amount — even though they have never paid any taxes in Sweden.
Worse, in 2013 the government decided that people staying in the country illegally have a right to virtually free health and dental care. So while the destitute Swedish senior citizen must choose between paying 100,000 kronor ($12,000) to get new teeth or living toothless, a person who does not even have the right to stay in Sweden can get his teeth fixed for 50 kronor ($6).[…]
What follows are excerpts from emails sent from private citizens to Prime Minister Stefan Löfven:
From Mattias, a social worker and father of four, “a dad who wants my kids to grow up in Sweden the way I had the good fortune of doing, without explosions, hand grenades, car fires, violence, rape and murder at IKEA”:
“Hi Stefan. I am a 43-year-old father of four, who is trying to explain to my children, ages 6-16, what is going on in Sweden. I am sad to say that you and your party close your eyes to what is happening in Sweden. All the things that are happening [are] due to the unchecked influx from abroad. You are creating a hidden hatred in Sweden. We are dissatisfied with the way immigration is handled in Sweden, from asylum housing to school issues. And it takes so long to get a job, many people give up before they even get close. Mattias”
    Marcus, 21, wrote:
“Hi Stefan, I am one of the people who voted for you. I live in Helsingborg, still with my parents because there are no apartments available. I can see where I live that as soon as an old person moves out, eight foreigners immediately move in: they just bypass us young, Swedish people in line. With all that is going on in Sweden *– rapes, robberies, the IKEA murders and so on — why aren’t non-Swedes sent back to their countries when they commit crimes? Of course we should help refugees, but they should be the right kind of refugees. … I’m sorry to say this, Stefan, but the Sweden Democrats should be allowed to rule for four years and remove the people who do not abide by the laws, and who murder or destroy young women’s lives. It is horrible, I have a job that pays poorly because there are no jobs. Sweden has more people than jobs.”

Sweden opens world's first male rape centre

    Maddy Savage · 15 Oct 2015, 16:31

    Published: 15 Oct 2015 11:45 GMT+02:00
    Updated: 15 Oct 2015 16:31 GMT+02:00

A hospital in Stockholm is understood to be first in the world to set up an emergency department specifically for male rape victims. The clinic at Södersjukhuset opened on Thursday as part of a strategy to ensure "gender equal" patient care.

Södersjukhuset already runs a round-the-clock walk-in clinic for women and girls who have been sexually assaulted in the city, treating between 600 and 700 patients a year. Now, the hospital, which hosts the largest emergency care unit in the Nordic region, is opening its doors to men and boys who are victims of rape and sex attacks.

"We are happy that we now can finally open the first rape clinic for men following the rape clinic for women," Rasmus Jonlund, a press spokesperson for the Liberal Party, which led the campaign for the department in the Swedish capital, told The Local just ahead of the launch.

"It is the first in Sweden (...) We think it is the first in the world. We haven't found another from our research on the world wide web," he added.

The opening was also celebrated by the Liberal Party's centre-right Alliance partners in Stockholm City Council; the Moderates, which are the largest group in the capital's coalition, the Christan Democrats and the Centre Party.

"Emergency medical care for raped men will be free of charge, and offered around the clock, all year," said Marie Ljungberg Schött, a local Moderate Party party politician and council representative on emergency care in a statement.

"So far there has been no specific place for men who are victims of rape to turn to. Therefore we in the Alliance have decided to change this."

In 2014, some 370 cases of sexual assault on men or boys were reported across Sweden, according to the Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention, although experts believe that the actual figure is much higher.

"We don't know how many people will use it (...) but we know that there are many who experience these kinds of assaults but don't currently seek care," said Jonlund.

"Our hope now is that many more of these hidden victims will also be able to get help now."

Sweden has the highest rape rate in Europe, a statistic that gained global prominence in 2010, when WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange was first accused of sex crimes in the Nordic nation, allegations which he still strongly denies.

However this is partly because the country records allegations in a different way to most other countries, tracking each case of sexual violence separately. So for example if someone says they were raped by a partner every day for a fortnight, officers will record 14 potential crimes. Elsewhere, many countries would log the claim as a single incident.

Nevertheless, the nation's high statistics have made rape a matter of high level political debate in recent years.

In 2014, a study by sexual education organization RFSU suggested that in most municipalities across Sweden, men were uncertain where they could get emergency help following a rape.

Inger Björklund, a spokesperson for the group told The Local in June that it was looking forward to the opening of Stockholm's new facility.

"There are myths about masculinity that make it difficult for men who have been sexually traumatized to talk about their experiences," she said.

"A clinic focusing on men who have been sexually abused will contribute to the awareness of experiences of sexual abuse among men and make it more possible to meet men's needs."

Jonlund said on Thursday that he hoped the new clinic in Stockholm would also be able to "spread the knowledge" aquired by its efforts, in order to help other medical centres provide the best care possible for male victims.

He also argued it was essential that work also continued to prevent rapes happening across Sweden.

"Men shouldn't have to come to this kind of clinic at all," he said.
