UK: Muslim nuclear power plant worker caught studying bomb-making websites while at work

October 29, 2015 12:47 pm By Robert Spencer 28 Comments
No one would have considered trying to vet him and determine his attachment to the jihad doctrine before hiring him. That would have been “Islamophobic.”

“Scots nuclear power plant worker caught studying BOMB-MAKING websites at work,” by David Taylor, Daily Record, October 27, 2015:
A WORKER at a Scots nuclear power plant has been allegedly caught studying bomb-making websites at work.
The staff member was marched off the premises at Hunterston B, West Kilbride, this morning after a shocked colleague raised the alarm.
Police are now investigating the worker accessing “inappropriate material” while working at the nuclear facility.
The man, who is believed to be a Muslim who moved recently from England, has worked at the North Ayrshire facility for around four weeks.
He was spotted by a fellow colleague on Monday, who reported his concerns to management.
The contractor works as a ‘special entry assistant’ at the power station, and his role involves him going into the heart of the plant to assist tradesmen.
He was allegedly seen viewing inappropriate websites on homemade explosives on a laptop computer, which he slammed shut after being spotted by a work mate.
When he arrived for work on Tuesday, he was escorted from the premises by security guards and plant owners EDF called in police.
A source at the plant said: “The guy has only worked here for a short time.
“He is a low-level employee, but has access to the reactor, where he basically helps out tradesmen working on it.”
Speaking about the incident with the laptop, the source added: “One of his colleagues spotted him engrossed in a laptop on Monday.
“As he passed by, it was slammed shut, but not before the fellow worker got an eyeful of what he had been looking at.
“To him it looked like some sort of website on how to make bombs .
“He reported his concerns to bosses, and theguy [sic] was escorted of the site today.
“You can’t have people with access to a nuclear core having any sort of interest in explosives.
“No one knows what was going through his head, but its not what you want to see in a nuclear power plant.”…
They swore, if we gave them our weapons, that the wars of the tribes would cease.
“As a general rule, the earlier you recognize someone is trying to kill you, the better off you’ll be.”

UK universities to ban feminists and conservatives to avoid offending Muslims

October 30, 2015 7:33 am By Robert Spencer 17 Comments
It is clear who the new ruling political class in Britain is. First the Cameron government banned foreign counter-jihadists from entering the country. Now they are silencing domestic voices of dissent. British authorities seem determined to stifle legitimate debate about their immigration policies and stance toward the jihad threat, and to keep their country on the path to chaos and civil war.

“Greer ban at university ‘is to seem fair to Muslims’: Vince Cable warns feminists and right-wingers will be censored to prove institutions are not ‘anti-Islamic,'” by Eleanor Harding, Daily Mail, October 28, 2015 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
Universities will ban feminists, Right-wing politicians and other controversial speakers to appear fair on Muslims, Vince Cable has warned.
The ex-business secretary said the Prevent strategy would make institutions feel compelled to censor all ‘extreme’ views to prove that they are not ‘anti-Islamic’.
Under the Government’s counter-terror drive, universities have a duty to monitor students for signs of ‘non-violent extremism’ and block hate preachers.
But yesterday Sir Vince said institutions would feel obliged to ‘demonstrate impartiality’ and ban ‘non-Muslim speakers whose reputation is also controversial for different reasons’.
He said some speakers were already being given hostile receptions on campuses, including Ukip leader Nigel Farage who cancelled an appearance at Cambridge after protests.
A petition was also set up to stop feminist Germaine Greer speaking at Cardiff because her views could allegedly offend ‘trans’ people.
Sir Vince said: ‘Once we get into the way of thinking that the best way to deal with extreme views is to suppress them, we get into very dangerous territory indeed.
‘And unfortunately I think that is the way the government is trying to lead.
‘If the government is successful in getting through legislation which in turn leads to guidance to universities, I suspect what will happen is this.
‘The legislation and the guidance will be vague, and universities being naturally risk adverse institutions will err on the side of caution and try to stop controversial speakers.
‘They will then be accused of being anti-Islamic and so they will try to stop other speakers of other persuasions.’
He added that censoring any one group of people could result in the same consequences for wider society.
‘The danger is that we say “Ok well we’ve banned that lot, therefore we will ban this lot”,’ he said.
‘You get on to this downward spiral where any form of radical dissent is actively discouraged or not allowed.’
The Lib Dem, who was responsible for higher education during his stint in the cabinet, claimed planned new powers would leave universities so risk averse they would allow only a ‘bland exchange’ of ‘politically correct’ views.
In a speech to the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, Sir Vince said he had blocked attempts to impose restrictions on so-called extremists during his time in government.
He added: ‘Instead of intellectual challenge there will be a bland exchange of views which are inoffensive and politically correct.
‘This will not stop terrorism or terrorist recruitment and may even make the problem worse by driving underground those who are regarded as extreme but are currently non-violent.’
Sir Vince, who suggested religious sectarianism in the West of Scotland was a form of ‘nonviolent extremism’, warned that prevention measures ‘can easily degenerate into surveillance’.
He added: ‘Common sense suggests that anything which encourages secretive, suspicious behaviour is more likely to help terrorism than hinder it.’
David Cameron earlier this month vowed to ‘aggressively’ pursue and disrupt extremists trying to spread the ‘poisonous ideology’ of radical Islamism.
Mr Cable criticised the government’s proposed Extremism Disruption Orders, so-called Asbos for hate preachers, claiming it could make them seem ‘martyrs’ and would prove ‘counter-productive’.
They swore, if we gave them our weapons, that the wars of the tribes would cease.
“As a general rule, the earlier you recognize someone is trying to kill you, the better off you’ll be.”

UK’s Independent: Muhammad had British values, so fight “extremism” by teaching more Islam in schools

November 3, 2015 5:28 am By Robert Spencer 24 Comments
This is just the sort of thing the addled Leftists of the Independent eat up by the truckload. But let’s look into some of the British values that Islamic tradition holds Muhammad as having taught:
Women must cover everything but their face and hands: “‘O Asma’, when a woman reaches the age of menstruation, it does not suit her that she displays her parts of body except this and this,’ and he pointed to her face and hands.” (Sunan Abu Dawud 4092)
Adulterers should be stoned to death: “There came to him (the Holy Prophet) a woman from Ghamid and said: Allah’s Messenger, I have committed adultery, so purify me….And she was put in a ditch up to her chest and he commanded people and they stoned her….” (Sahih Muslim 4206)
Those who leave Islam should be killed: “Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him” (Sahih Bukhari 9.84.57).
Fight against unbelievers until they convert to Islam or submit to Muslim hegemony: “Fight against those who disbelieve in Allah. Make a holy war…When you meet your enemies who are polytheists, invite them to three courses of action. If they respond to any one of these you also accept it and withhold yourself from doing them any harm. Invite them to (accept) Islam; if they respond to you, accept it from them and desist from fighting against them…. If they refuse to accept Islam, demand from them the Jizya. If they agree to pay, accept it from them and hold off your hands. If they refuse to pay the tax, seek Allah’s help and fight them.” (Sahih Muslim 4294)
Jews and Christians are accursed: “Allah cursed the Jews and the Christians, for they built the places of worship at the graves of their prophets.” (Sahih Bukhari 2.23.472)
Sajda Khan is right: if these aren’t British values now, they will be soon enough.

“INDEPENDENT: Teach MORE Islam In UK Schools, Muhammed Had British Values,” Breitbart London, November 2, 2015 (thanks to all who sent this in):
The Independent newspaper has published an article claiming that more Islam should be taught in schools because the Islamic prophet, Muhammed, had “British values”. The article is written by a PhD student who claims she has “a lot” of “respect” for a leading UK Muslim Brotherhood activist.
The author, Sajda Khan, used to write for the Huffington Post, though many of her articles – all propaganda pieces about Islam – have now been “removed at the request of the author”. Ms. Khan – who once slammed UK think tank Civitas for attacking the idea of “jihad” – also has a different name to the one listed on her Huffington Post profile from 2012.
Her name was “Sahar” on the HuffPo, whereas she now goes by “Sajda”. She has denied changing her name, though admitted: “I began to write under a pseudonym but then resorted to my own name – because I didn’t see a need.”
Ms. Khan wrote for the Independent:
Simply put, the way to combat Islamic extremism is to invest in real Islamic teaching in British schools: teaching that proves the Prophet Mohammed would never have condoned their actions.
Many reading this will find it difficult to stomach, but the Prophet Mohammed had British values. Those values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect, and tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs that schools are now required to promote are inherently Islamic.
But her article directly contradicts one she wrote for the Telegraph just 5 months ago, entitled: “British values won’t stop violent extremism”. She wrote:
Violent extremism needs to be rooted out, but we cannot win a war by silencing people. People should be able to hold differing views as long as they do not break the law and live in harmony with others. There is a danger that the proposed tougher legislation will be carte blanche to criminalise law-abiding people. What we need as a society is a common language, common principles and dialogue.
Her comments appear to be a claim that Muslims can live in Britain and contribute to society while not agreeing with traditional British values, although she also makes the claim in the Telegraph: “British values as defined by our home secretary Theresa May – such as democracy and the rule of law, tolerance and acceptance of different faiths – are inherently Muslim values too”.
    In the Independent, she continues:
This is a golden opportunity to develop within our schools a curriculum based upon the biography of Prophet Muhammad, which clearly demonstrates and embeds British values… Investing in a theological education that teaches the real tenants of Islam is the only way we can genuinely win over those who have turned to extremism – whether we like it or not.
But Ms. Khan’s own connections may bring her entire position crashing down. She recently communicated with Anas Al Tikriti, a known supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood whose father ran the Iraq Islamic Party, and who has expressed his admiration for terrorist group Hamas. She tweeted at him on October 25th: “Salam Anas, hope you are well. Is Friday’s debate available to watch anywhere?”
She appears to have been referring to the “Is Islam the cause or solution to extremism” debate, hosted by the Islamic Education and Research Academy (iERA) – an organisation led by Hamza Tzortzis, who has previously affirmed his commitment to beheading for those who fought against Muslim interests. IERA has listed among its advisers two preachers banned from the UK for extremist views, and Tzortzis was recently publicly shamed after his name and e-mail address appeared on the Ashley Madison affair website hack list.
When told by Al Tikriti that the video of the debate would be available soon, Ms. Khan replied, “jazakAllahkhayrn [May Allah Bless You] Anas, look forward to it. Please keep me informed”.
They swore, if we gave them our weapons, that the wars of the tribes would cease.
“As a general rule, the earlier you recognize someone is trying to kill you, the better off you’ll be.”

Fake bomb detectors used to protect Sharm Britons: Gadgets similar to novelty golf ball finders that were part of UK fraud trials are being used to check luggage at resort's hotels British families in Sharm El Sheikh are being guarded with useless bomb detectors based on a bogus device produced by UK fraudsters, the Mail can reveal. Hotels are using the fake gadgets - now produced by the Egyptian army - to screen luggage amid fears of bomb attacks by Islamic State terrorists. But they are almost identical to a completely useless device, based on a novelty golf ball detector, at the centre of fraud trials in Britain over the past two years. Experts say they are just radio aerials stuck to handles.

UK: Muslim teachers at state-funded school led students in anti-Christian chants

November 10, 2015 3:36 pm By Robert Spencer 22 Comments
    A glimpse into Britain’s future.

“Hearing: Children told to chant: ‘Do we send Christmas cards? No!’ and ‘Do we celebrate Christmas? No!,'” by Harvey Day, Birmingham Mail, November 9, 2015:
Pupils at Oldknow Academy, a school implicated in the Trojan horse scandal, were led in anti-Christian chants in assemblies, it has been alleged.
Teacher Asif Khan allegedly led pupils shouting: “We don’t believe in Christmas, do we?” and “Jesus wasn’t born in Bethlehem, was he?”, a tribunal was told
In these assemblies Mr Khan who was a classroom teacher, also allegedly talked about “hellfire” and “prostitutes”….
Former deputy head teacher Jahangir Akbar and Asif Khan both stand accused of unacceptable professional behaviour and/or conduct that may bring the profession into disrepute….
It was told that children were also asked to shout: “Do we send Christmas cards? No!” and “Do we celebrate Christmas? No!”, although Mr Khan denies the claims.
It was said that the assembly was “like a rally” with a “plainly divisive” attitude….
Christopher Gillespie, the lawyer representing the National College for Teaching and Leadership , said: “An agreement was made to introduce an undue amount of religious influence into the education of Oldknow School.
“The distinction between a faith school and a state school was being blurred if not obliterated.”
Ann Connor, an education advisor contracted to work for Department for Education, was asked to visit the school after Peter Clarke’s 2014 report into Birmingham Schools.
She said: “I found the school to be extraordinary. There was an element of fear.”
One female member of staff was allegedly frightened of Mr Khan and of potential repercussions for her in the school.
A teacher told Ann Connor: “I am too frightened and he knows where I live.”
Ms Connor said there were signs written only in Arabic including the name of an office block, doors on toilets and a school lunch menu displayed on a class notice board.
In the hearing it was heard that one parent complained of the “increasing Islamic ethos in the school.”…

Muslims in UK Outraged b/c Catholic Schools Won't Teach Islam

“Death, perhaps, is a bit too easy for him."

    November 12, 2015

It seems like there's a Muslim outrage every day. The stewardess opened my Diet Coke for me. A YouTube video about my favorite warlord hurt my feelings. Catholic schools won't teach about my religion.
Under new GCSE reforms, school are required to teach more than one faith in religious studies.
It is part of a Government plan to integrate students from different religious backgrounds.
The change was also intended to drive extremism out of the classroom.
However, Muslim leaders have said the plan has backfired as Catholic schools has ruled out teaching Islam to students.
Actually that's the definition of a plan working. Teaching Islam is how you get extremism in the classroom. And not the kind that fasts extra long or prays every hard, but chops heads off extra violently.
Catholic schools have opted to only teach students about Judaism alongside Christianity. The decision effectively rules out teaching about the world's second biggest religion.
... which has no relationship to Christianity. Aside from the ethnic cleansing kind.
Sir Iqbal Sacranie, former secretary general of the Muslim Council of Britain, said the plan undermined Pope Francis’s message of greater tolerance between the faiths.
I'm sure Islamic schools will be rushing right out to promote Catholicism to their students. Right after there's a church built in Mecca. Or anywhere in Saudi Arabia.
Paul Barber, the director at the Catholic Education Service, said teaching about the Jewish faith would ensure pupils are given a solid grounding in Christianity.
He said, however, that pupils could still learn about other faiths during normal religious education lessons.

Of course that's not enough. So more outrage. More whining. More complaints about tolerance from a religion that is almost universally intolerant of other religions in its own home countries.
We've got a religion that is ethnically cleansing Christians right now complaining that Catholic schools in the UK won't teach Islam. In Judaism, we call that chutzpah.
Sir Sacranie said: "This is not a good decision. It does not reflect well on the messages that are coming out from the Church for greater tolerance of other faiths.
Sacranie knows all about tolerance. He's the guy who said of Salman Rushdie, “Death, perhaps, is a bit too easy for him." He refused to participate in the Holocaust memorial because it didn't accuse Israel of genocide against Muslims and threatened Jews.
In 1996, the radical Islamist group Al-Muhajiroun, led by Omar Bakri Mohammed, was planning a rally in London. As controversy mounted over the event, especially when some of Omar Bakri’s more “colourful” statements made it into the press, the Board of Deputies of British Jews asked the Home Secretary to ban some particular foreign speakers coming to the conference, in particular members of Hamas and Hizbullah.
In Muslim News (30 Aug 1996), Sacranie was quoted as saying:
"The Board of Deputies of British Jews should seriously consider what action they take on this matter because of the detrimental effect on community relations which could result. Taking a hostile view towards scholars who wish to come to this country to present their points of view at a conference will not serve good community relations."
Tolerance. He knows all about it.
Maybe Catholic schools should teach about Islam after all. The real version you can find from Robert Spencer, not the imaginary fantasy Karen Armstrong version. It might help prepare their students for the reality of life in the UK
They swore, if we gave them our weapons, that the wars of the tribes would cease.
“As a general rule, the earlier you recognize someone is trying to kill you, the better off you’ll be.”

UK Home Secretary Theresa May: the Paris jihad attacks ‘have nothing to do with Islam’

November 17, 2015 6:08 am By Robert Spencer 67 Comments
Nothing to do with Islam eh? Let’s see. After the attacks the Islamic State issued a statement claiming responsibility for them and quoting the Qur’an, the holy book of Islam. The statement said in part: “Let France and all nations following its path know that they will continue to be at the top of the target list for the Islamic State and that the scent of death will not leave their nostrils as long as they partake in the crusader campaign, as long as they dare to curse our Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him), and as long as they boast about their war against Islam in France and their strikes against Muslims in the land of the Caliphate with their jets, which were of no avail to them in the filthy streets and alleys of Paris. Indeed, this is just the beginning. It is also a warning for any who wish to take heed.” “Our Prophet”: who is that? Muhammad, the prophet of Islam. “War against Islam in France.” “Land of the caliphate”: what’s a caliphate? The international government of Muslims worldwide, according to Sunni Islamic theology.
Clearly Theresa May, who is much more concerned with banning foes of jihad from entering the country than she is with combating actual jihadis, is among those who do not “wish to take heed” of the Islamic State’s warning. When a Paris-style attack hits London, she will bear a great deal of the responsibility for her role in misleading the British people about the nature and magnitude of the jihad threat.

“Theresa May: the Paris attacks ‘have nothing to do with Islam,’” by James Forsyth, Spectator, November 16, 2015 (thanks to David):
…May set out how the police here would ‘intensify’ their approach to big events in an attempt to prevent a Paris-style attack here. She stressed that the kind of weapons used in Paris on Friday night were ‘not readily available in the UK’ and said she would urge other EU countries to toughen up their firearms laws in an attempt to restrict the supply of automatic weapons. She also declared that ‘the attacks have nothing to do with Islam’. Now, one can understand why the Home Secretary wanted to say this. But denying the link between this attack and a particular interpretation of Islam is not going to make it any easier to counter either the terrorist threat or the attempt to radicalise a segment of the population….
They swore, if we gave them our weapons, that the wars of the tribes would cease.
