They swore, if we gave them our weapons, that the wars of the tribes would cease.

Greek lawmakers have rejected a no-confidence motion in the government brought by the main opposition party over a deal to change the name of Macedonia and end a decades-old dispute with Greece's northern neighbor.

Lawmakers voted 153-127 in the 300-member parliament Saturday against the motion to oust the left-led government over the deal renaming the former Yugoslav republic North Macedonia.
One lawmaker from the government's junior coalition partner, the nationalist Independent Greeks, voted in favor of the move. The party is a vociferous critic of the name deal. The party's leader, Defense Minister Panos Kammenos, kicked the lawmaker out of the party.
The deal aims to end a dispute that has roiled the two countries' relations since Macedonia declared independence from Yugoslavia in 1991.

Greece's main opposition leader urged lawmakers Saturday to support his no-confidence vote against the government over a deal to end a decades-old dispute with neighboring Macedonia over the latter's name.
Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras' left-led coalition government is expected to survive the vote, set for later Saturday. His government controls 154 of parliament's 300 seats. The nationalist party that is a junior coalition partner says it will reject the motion despite vehemently opposing the name deal that Tsipras reached with his Macedonian counterpart.
"Today you are all mortgaging the future of the country," said conservative New Democracy party leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who brought the no-confidence motion.

Greek lawmakers are debating for the final day a no-confidence motion against the government over a deal to end a decades-old dispute with neighboring Macedonia over the latter's name.
Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras' left-led coalition government is expected to survive Saturday's vote. His government controls 154 of parliament's 300 seats, and the nationalist party that is a junior coalition partner says it will reject the motion despite opposing the agreement Tsipras reached with his Macedonian counterpart.
Tsipras and Macedonia's Zoran Zaev settled on a deal Tuesday that would rename Greece's northern neighbor North Macedonia, while Athens would drop its objections to the country joining NATO and the European Union.
Hardliners in both countries are furious at the deal, which they consider concedes too much to the other side

EU to Formally Move on Creation of Military Intervention Force
Major step down path to European Army

After agreeing on military cooperation in 2017 when 25 bloc members signed a defense pact, a smaller circle of EU members are going to take formal steps to create the European Intervention Initiative.
This force is designed for responding to natural disasters, crisis intervention or the evacuation of Europeans.
France’s Defense Minister Florence Parly has told the French newspaper Figaro that her country, Germany, Belgium, Britain, Denmark, the Netherlands, Estonia, Spain and Portugal are to sign a letter of intent for the creation of a joint military intervention force on June 25.
According to a source close to a French top official, cited by the AFP, the goal of the initiative is “joint planning work on crisis scenarios that could potentially threaten European security.”
While some EU tactical interventional groups exist in principle, so far they have never been used.
Since the proposed force, known as the European Intervention Initiative, would stay separate from other EU defense cooperation programs, Britain, which has always resisted the idea of an “EU army,” will be able to take part even after it has left the bloc.
“This is clearly an initiative that allows for the association of some non-EU states. The UK has been very keen because it wants to maintain cooperation with Europe beyond bilateral ties,” the French top military official told the newspaper.
According to Parly, Italy, which presently remains outside the Intervention Force group, was “also considering the possibility of joining.”
    Path to European Army
The initiative to set up a European military intervention force, which could be rapidly deployed in the event of a crisis, were introduced by France’s President Emmanuel Macron in September 2017.
In June 2017, the bloc brought a 70-year-old European Defense Community ambition to life, as the European Commission decided to launch the 5 billion euro European Defense Fund, designed to supplement member states’ defense research and support EU countries in obtaining military equipment.
At the end of 2017, 25 of the bloc’s member states signed a joint declaration calling upon the European Council to adopt a decision establishing a Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO) on defense. This would allow Europe both to increase the volume of investments on military technology and step up the level of coordination in this area within Europe. The commitments, confirmed by all the states except Britain, Denmark and Malta, include a “successive medium-term increase in defense investment expenditures to 20 percent of total defense spending in order to fill strategic capability gaps,” and “increasing the share of expenditure allocated to defense research and technology with a view to nearing the 2 percent of total defense spending.”
However, such initiatives encountered criticism from the UK as the country has repeatedly warned that common defense forces could undermine NATO.

Belgians Preparing Vigilante Justice Amid Migrant Crime Wave

    Dan Lyman July 24, 2018
Residents of a seaside Belgian town are considering taking the law into their own hands as a rash of crimes blamed on migrants spirals out of control.
Frustrated townsfolk in Zeebrugge see a connection between an increase in lawlessness and an ever-growing migrant population, while police caution against correlating the two.
Dozens of recent break-ins and robberies have prompted a backlash attributed to "the work of migrants," prompting calls to "take matters into your own hands," reports local media.
"If people see something suspicious, they must first call us," insist police in response to potential vigilantism. "It is dangerous to assume immediately that the thefts are the work of migrants."
Meanwhile, 63 migrants were recently arrested in the span of two days in Zeebrugge.
Zeebrugge Mayor Renaat Landuyt has also urged his constituents to avoid initiating confrontation, saying, "Do not take matters into your own hands."
"It is our permanent concern to limit or avoid the inconvenience. The police do everything possible and keep checking. Unfortunately, the situation persists. But I can assure all residents that we remain alert."
Fed-up locals are forced to share their town with delinquent migrants, who are "numerous in the streets," according to HLN.
"Another thorn in the eyes of the local population is that the illegal immigrants are sleeping or sunbathing in the streets. This is the case, for example, in the Sint-Donaaspark and around the local church. But here too the message of the police remains the same: do not look for the confrontation and let the competent authorities do their work."

These guys are about to learn why the Merkel's EU Army exists; it's sole purpose is to slaughter white Europeans and, just as in the Balkans the Police will be used to road block access to areas that are being ethnically cleansed by the Army. Europe is toast and it will take rivers of blood to set it right. Trump needs to withdraw US troops before the Holocaust sucks our PPL into the fire

Early Thursday morning, some 800 sub-Saharan migrants armed with flamethrowers, Molotov cocktails, mallets, shears, and plastic containers filled with feces stormed a Spanish border fence, violently clashing with law enforcement.
At least 15 Civil Guard officers suffered injuries, five of whom were transferred to a local hospital, according to a report from Spain's Civil Guard. "Molotov cocktails have also been recovered, as have bags of hashish," the report added.
More than 600 of the migrants successfully crossed the Spanish-Moroccan border fence into Ceuta, a Spanish autonomous city along the coast of North Africa.

After crossings the fence, migrants threw stones at agents and their vehicles, breaking glass on at least three of them.
Sixteen migrants "have been evacuated to the University Hospital of the city," the report says.
