Via ABC News) Two al Qaeda-Iraq terrorists were discovered living as refugees in Kentucky in 2009. The men later admitted in court that they’d attacked U.S. soldiers in Iraq, ABC News reported.
The investigation showed that Waad Ramadan Alwan was mistakenly allowed to resettle in Bowling Green, home to Western Kentucky University and very close to the Army’s Fort Knox and Fort Campbell.

JERUSALEM – A young Israeli woman was stabbed to death by a Palestinian who was among three assailants to be shot dead following separate attacks Sunday, Israeli security forces said, with the latest flare-up of violence coming ahead of a visit to the region by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry.
The 21-year-old Israeli woman was seriously wounded when a Palestinian attacked her with a knife in the West Bank Sunday afternoon before being shot and killed by soldiers nearby, the military said.
Dr. Ofer Merin of the Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem said "the young woman was stabbed numerous times in the head, chest and the area of the heart." He said despite attempts by medics to save her, she succumbed to her wounds.
The attack occurred at the Gush Etzion junction near Jerusalem, the scene of multiple Palestinian attacks against civilians and security forces over the past two months.
In an earlier attack, the military said a woman pulled out a knife at the entrance to a military base and began approaching civilians. A local West Bank settler leader, Gershon Mesika, said he veered off the road and struck the woman with his vehicle. A soldier then fired at her and killed her. The army did not say how close the woman had been to carrying out an attack or release a video of the incident.

Her father, Taha Qatanani, said his 16-year-old daughter went to school as usual in the morning and that he heard about her death two hours later. "She talked about stabbing to her brother the day before but no one took her seriously. If she tried to stab she did what she wanted," he said.
Elsewhere in the West Bank, a Palestinian driving a taxi cab tried to run over Israelis east of Jerusalem, police said. After crashing his car, he emerged with a knife and tried to stab people, but was shot dead by a bystander before he could harm anyone. Israeli politicians have encouraged licensed gun owners to carry their weapons during the latest wave of unrest.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commended citizens for being on "maximum alert."
"I must say that we are showing such awareness, with considerable resourcefulness and courage, and this is deserving of all praise. We are still fighting and will continue to do so," he said at his weekly Cabinet meeting.
Sunday's attacks came two days before Kerry is scheduled to arrive in an attempt to calm tensions stemming from a two-month wave of violence that shows no signs of dissipating. It will mark his first visit to the area to meet Israeli and Palestinian leaders in more than a year.
On Saturday night, a Palestinian attacker stabbed four people in the southern Israeli town of Kiryat Gat. Following an hourslong manhunt, police found the 18-year-old hiding in the yard of a nearby home.
Over the past two months, Palestinian stabbings and other attacks have killed 18 Israelis, while 87 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire. Of them, 55 are said by Israel to be attackers and the rest were killed in clashes with Israeli troops.
The wave of violence began over tensions surrounding a sensitive Jerusalem holy site and has since spread across Israel, the West Bank and the Gaza border.
Israel says the current spate of violence is due to a Palestinian campaign of lies and incitement surrounding the holy site, which is revered by Muslims and Jews. The Palestinians say the violence is rooted in frustration over nearly a half-century of occupation and they accuse Israel of using excessive force to suppress the unrest.

Iraqi security forces have seized more than a dozen booby trapped dolls which had been part of an ISIS bomb plot against Shia pilgrims.
Security forces in Baghdad defused and destroyed 18 IEDs which had been hidden inside the hollow bodies of children’s toys, before being dressed in doll clothes.
ISIS had planned on scattering the doll-bombs on the road between the Iraqi capital and Karbala, where millions of Shia Muslims are set to walk during the annual pilgrimage for Arbaeen next month.
Arbaeen is a Shia religious observance that marks the end of the 40-day period of mourning after the anniversary of Imam Hussein’s death, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad.
It is considered one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, with millions set to make the journey to Karbala over the upcoming weeks.

Report: Islamic State Planning Suicide Aircraft Strikes In Iraq…

Islamic State terrorists are seeking experts to repair captured military aircraft for future use in suicide attacks against U.S. and allied forces in Iraq.
The terrorist group that occupies large areas of Iraq and Syria has two Russian-made Sukhoi aircraft and three Russian helicopters that it plans to use in the attacks, according to a recent report in a London-based Arabic language news outlet.
The Oct. 22 report in Al Arabi Al Jadid quoted a high-ranking officer in Baghdad assigned to the command of the international military coalition in Iraq as saying the aircraft were obtained during Islamic State military operations in Syria and Iraq.
“The international coalition’s forces are trying to locate the whereabouts of two Sukhoi planes and three Russian-made helicopters from the 1980s that had been captured by Daish [an alternative name for the Islamic State] to destroy them before the latter can use them to carry out its plans,” the officer said.
The aircraft currently are not capable of flying, and that has prompted the Islamic State to advertise for jihadist experts who can repair the aircraft.
Several captured aviation officers and experts have been executed for refusing to help the Islamic State fix the aircraft.

Islamic State video threatens Georgians with beheadings, caliphate

The nation of Georgia is home to one of the earliest Christian churches, with apostolic roots in the 1st century, its formal founding dating from the early 4th century. The Georgians have a long memory, and are likely thinking back to when Muslim invaders conquered Tbilisi in 1227. The Islamic State video references that slaughter — infamous for the beheadings of 100,000 Georgian Christians who refused to deny Christ — in its video. (Interesting how the Islamic State patterns its actions on not only the Qur’an and the life of Muhammad, but on the deeds of Muslims of previous eras, almost as if they revere that historical continuity and are proud to manifest it in the 21st century.)
From an historical account of the time:
… A river of blood flowed through the city. The Turkmen castrated young children, raped women, and stabbed mothers to death over their children’s lifeless bodies. The whole city shuddered at the sound of wailing and lamentation. The river and streets of the city were filled with death.
The sultan ordered that the cupola of Sioni Cathedral be taken down and replaced by his vile throne. A video address to the Georgian people on behalf of the Islamic State has been released on the internet. Fighters speaking Georgian address the Muslims living in Georgia, calling on them to support the ‘Islamic Caliphate’ and threatening to establish a ‘Caliphate’ in Georgia.
“I would like to address the faithless people living in Georgia that have been fighting Islam for a long time. Everybody who has acted against Islam, no matter in Iraq or Afghanistan, will be judged by God’s law.
God is very strict; therefore we call on you to stop persecuting Muslims. Your actions against Muslims will not go unanswered. Everybody will be held accountable for it.
Soon there will come the time of your beheading. You consider yourselves very far from the Caliphate, thinking we cannot reach Georgia but I would like to remind you of the period when the Caliphate was established in Georgia. Another fighter threatens Muslim Khojas and Muftis living in Adjara, accusing them of misleading people. “You are not Muslims yourselves. You follow Tahuti and the people also follow your path. Are not you afraid of Allah who has created you by a drop of blood? You will die and appear before Allah. You will pay for what you have done. Be afraid of Allah but not the dirty leaders. Don’t be afraid of their orders you fulfill without hesitation,” the fighters say.

"Low IQ" is the New Muslim Terrorist Defense

Forget airborne PTSD or poverty. Here's a great new terrorist defense. Imran Khawaja was an ISIS Jihadist who liked guns and severed heads. Non-Muslim severed heads. (via Religion of Peace)

In one section of footage, played before a hushed court, Mr Altman said Khawaja could be seen picking up severed heads from the back of a flatbed truck and saying: 'Heads. Kuffar (non-Muslims). Disgusting.'
Khawaja, who has close ties to 'executioner' Jihadi John, faked his own death to sneak back into the UK and is now facing years behind bars.
His death was widely reported - but on the same day Khawaja was arrested by specialist counter-terrorism officers at Dover with his cousin Tahir Bhatti, 45.
Khawaja, who also had the nicknames 'Barbie,' Imz,' 'Iron, and 'Cashew,' was a senior member of terrorist group Rayat Al Taweed (The Banner of Divine Unity).
'Following his departure, during messaging with his sister over different messaging platforms, Khawaja made it clear that he was in Syria for Jihad, that this was the path he had chosen, and that he wished to die as a martyr', said Mr Altman.
Khawaja told his sister, Azmeena, that he had travelled to the Middle East 'for Allah...first.'
'He told her he was happier than he had been in the UK, which was 'Shaitan dirty (devil dirty),' Mr Altman said.
'He told her he had no time to waste; that he knew Islam and Jihad 'is my way' and he could not sit and argue with his family 'who don't practice dis deen (religion).'
He later added: 'Jihad will remain fresh and green as long as raindrops fall from the sky.'

His lawyer's defense? Stupidity.

In his defence Henry Blaxland QC said the jihadi 'poster boy' had a low IQ - the lowest 12% of the population.

So what does that actually mean?
The UK IQ average is 100. Henry doesn't specify his client's IQ, but it's probably in the low 80s. But that doesn't mean much since a number of Muslim countries have average IQ scores around that.
Assuming that our friend here is Pakistani, the IQ average there is 84. Even if he scored an 81, he's not that much of an outlier. (I've seen a claim that the Pakistani UK IQ average is 86 (specifically 85.62.) Not sure if it's a valid source.)
Now IQ, its measurement standards and validity, are complicated issues that I have no interest in getting into. (Personally I don't believe it's a comprehensive meaningful measurement of intelligence.) But in this case, we have a lawyer attempting to make use of it as a defense for a terrorist when that's just the average number for someone from his background.
If having an IQ in the 80s is exculpatory, then how do you convict a Pakistani terrorist of anything?
