‘Avalanche’: Europe Should Expect 10 Million Migrants By 2020, Warn Merkel Allies

Germany’s finance minister has warned that an ‘avalanche’ of migrants has been triggered, just as it was revealed that Germany should expect up to 10 million migrants by 2020.
According to the calculations of another member of German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s ‘grand coalition’ of parties, the continent can expect nearly 10 times as many migrants as has been projected for this year alone over the next five years.
“This [new forecast] is quite conservative and expected”, he said according to N24.
Calculations by Heinz Buschkowsky, a member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SDP), who has written extensively on mass migration, predict the number reaching Germany by 2020 including family reunifications will be between five and 10 million.
The nation is expecting up to 1.5 million this year alone. The numbers began rising sharply immediately after Mrs. Merkel promised to suspend the Dublin agreement in August, and “welcome” any migrant who could make it across the German borders.
“Avalanches can be triggered when some slightly careless skier goes to the slope and moves a little bit of snow,” warned Wolfgang Schäuble, a senior member of Chancellor Merkel’s cabinet who has perviously supported the mass migration, on Wednesday evening, T-online reports.

Migrants Beat Up Locals In Restaurant In Germany

Migrants and locals got into a fight in a restaurant in Bavaria on Sunday, resulting in a 50-year-old German man receiving serious head injuries.

The brawl, which began as an argument between a small group of migrants and local residents eating at a restaurant in the town of Velden, started in the early hours of Sunday morning, according to Süddeutsche Zeitung.

The situation appeared to calm down when the migrants left, but they soon returned with reinforcements.

Around 15 people from the local asylum centre had joined them, with witnesses reporting fist fights and glass bottles being thrown. One witness said the square in front of the restaurant resembled a battlefield, covered in blood.

Six people were injured in the fight, with one 50-year-old German man needing hospital treatment for serious head injuries.

Police arrested a 25-year-old Syrian migrant, but later released him. The investigation continues.

Meanwhile in the town of Hattersheim, around 30 residents of the local asylum centre were involved in a fight the left four people injured. Op-online.de says police arrested two migrants aged 17 and 23, while four residents were moved to alternative accommodation for their own safety.

The violence follows a weekend of clashes in asylum centres across the country. In one asylum centre in the former airport of Tempelhof in Berlin, police had to intervene after a fight started as migrants queued for food.

That came at the same time as another fight in the Berlin suburb of Spandau, where migrants attacked one another with fire extinguishers. Windows were smashed and sofas thrown, leaving several migrants wounded. Some 500 people had be to be evacuated from the migrant centre in “fear and panic”.

Germany’s police union has previously called for migrants to be separated by country of origin to minimise the risk of inter-ethnic tension.

German police were forced to pepper-spray a fare dodging Islamist on Sunday after he reacted badly to having his ticket checked, attacking officers, trying to snatch a police handgun and screaming “Allah hu Akbar”.
The 23-year-old Moroccan ‘asylum seeker’ spoke no German and savagely attacked police on Sunday in Osnabrück station, hospitalising two and injured a third.
A railway employee decided to call in police on this occasion as after attempting to check the migrant’s ticket, the man began to act “strangely”, reports Focus.de.
Events took a turn for the violent as police arrived, and the man immediately flew into a fury. Attacking a female police officer, the man kicked and bit while screaming in Arabic the Islamist war-cry “Allah hu Akbar” and crying out the name of the Islamic State.

German Chancellor Merkel took a brave step forward for Europe today when she declared, “Whoever seeks refuge with Germany must respect our laws and traditions and learn our language. Multiculturalism leads to parallel societies and therefore remains a living lie.” These are wise words, and we agree with them. But multiculturalism is more than just a living lie. It is an acid eating away at the foundation of Western civilization. It is the rot in the roots of our heartwood.

Since the Paris atrocities last month, the Right has been urgently warning that open borders are an invitation to terrorists. We are warned that thousands, if not tens of thousands, of the refugees crossing from nation-state to nation-state are not refugees at all, but warriors of the Jihad, ready to bring terror to the infidel.
This is almost certainly true, despite the strident denialism of the Left. Even so, the cautionary voices of the Right are still understating the problem; or rather, they are confusing the effects of a corrosive acid with the acid itself. The acid is multiculturalism; terrorism is merely one of its results, alongside ethnic violence, civil unrest, and more.
Before we proceed, some definitions are in order. The words country, nation, and state are bandied about in uninformed usage as if they were synonyms, but they are not. A country is a geographic region. While states are frequently countries, countries need not be states, being potentially either larger or smaller. One may properly speak of the West Country of England, the Pays de Bray of France, or the Coal Country of the United States.
A nation is a cultural community of people, of which there are two types. The first is the ethnic nation, which refers to collective of people associated by their common ancestry, language, history, and traditions. The German nation of the early 20^th century and the Japanese, Chinese, and South Korean nations of today are examples of ethnic nations. The second is the civic nation, which refers to a collective of people associated by their common commitment to a particular expression of citizenship and individual rights. The French and American nations are the preeminent civic nations of the world.
A state is an organized political community under a single system of government. There are many types of states, typically named for their system of government, such as republics, commonwealths, and monarchies. States are often, though not always, founded by or for nations.
Thus a nation-state is an organized political community (a state) composed of an ethnic or civic community (a nation) within a geographical area (a country).
Similarly, a multistate nation is one in which a single nation exists across several states. For instance, the Kurdish people are currently divided between the states of Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Turkey, and lack a state (Kurdistan) of their own. Multistate nations often attempt to found nation-states.
Conversely, a multinational state is one in which multiple nations exist within one state. These can exist in varying combinations, most of limited historical duration. At best, a multinational state might consist of multiple ethnic nations ostensibly united by a civic nation, but without patriotism sufficient to maintain cohesion. A classic example is the U.S.S.R, which consisted of various ethnic nations (Russian, Ukrainian, Latvian, Estonian, etc.) ostensibly united by Communism. When the common commitment to communism eroded, the state collapsed.
Even less stable is a multinational state consisting of multiple ethnic nations without a civic nation at all. The mid-20^th century Yugoslavian state incorporated many Slavic ethnic nations (Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian, etc.). The 19^th century Austro-Hungarian Empire state incorporated the entirety of the Hungarian ethnic nation and part of the German ethnic nation. All such states are maintained essentially by force, from above.
Rarely, a multinational state might even consist of a single ethnic nation but multiple civic nations. The Antebellum United States serves as an example here, as slavery divided the European-Americans of the time into two distinct civic nations that remained (for a time) united in one state.
Finally, there can be multinational states consisting of multiple ethnic and civic nations. This is the least stable of all configurations. The Holy Roman Empire is one example of such a state; the contemporary United Kingdom, riven with separatist movements, might be approaching this as well.
Historically, the nation-state has been the most stable configuration, while multinational states have been less stable. Why might this be? A decade long study by Harvard professor of political science Robert D. Putnam has conclusively demonstrated that the more ethnically diverse a community is, the lower its social capital.¹ James Coleman and Putnam have shown that low social capital leads to less trust, less charity, more hate, more crime, and more corruption.² Worse, it leads to more war. As Marta Reynal-Querol explains, “Faith and family, blood and beliefs are the aspects with which people identify themselves, the characteristics for which they fight and die.”³
In the short-term, the injuries inflicted by diversity are unavoidable. In the long term, the wounds can be healed, but it requires the integration of the disparate nations by means of “shared values”⁴ – which is to say, the creation of a civic nation to unite the ethnic nations.
It makes sense, then, that most stable states have historically been founded by and on ethnic nations. It also makes sense that when a multiethnic state has flourished, it is because the state has had strong civic nationalism (patriotism). A civic nation-state can be sustained when – and only so long as – its peoples’ unitary civic nationalism takes precedence over their diverse ethnic nationalisms. The preeminent example is the United States, which has one civic nation (the American nation) but many ethnic nations (Mexican-American, African-American, European-American, and so on).⁵ A much older example is the Roman Empire, a state which began with one ethnic nation (Roman) but eventually incorporated many ethnic nations (Arab, Berber, Gaul, Greek, German, Italian, Thracian) guided by one civic nation (Roman).⁶
But of course Rome fell, and so too might America, and if it does happen, the blame will almost surely lie on the altar of multiculturalism. Multiculturalism is formally defined as the “acceptance or promotion of multiple cultural traditions within a single jurisdiction.”⁷ In practice, multiculturalism presents itself as a harmless commitment to tolerance that all well-intentioned people should share.
But in fact multiculturalism is an acid that dissolves nation-states. This is its purpose. Multiculturalism arose in the aftermath of the Second World War, a war launched by two ultranationalist states (National Socialist Germany and Imperial Japan) and characterized by the genocide of whole nations. The politicians and intellectuals of the post war era swore to never allow this to happen again, and multiculturalism was their solution. By promoting multiculturalism they hoped to destroy that which gave rise to total war. To save Western civilization, it was necessary to destroy it. Or so they believed.
How does multiculturalism destroy ethnic nation-state? We have already shown that an ethnic nation-state relies on its people’s common ancestry, language, and traditions – its unity – to provide social cohesion to its state. Multiculturalism erodes all three, by diversifying the ancestry, languages, and traditions. Where once stood a people united now stands a people divided. With the loss of unity go the social stability and social capital that unit brought and diversity destroys.
A civic nation relies on a particular expression of citizenship and individual rights, and as such seems like it would be protected from the acidic effects of multiculturalism. But from what source does a civic nation derive its particular expression of citizenship and rights? There are only two: from its religion or from its political philosophy. But both of these are deeply rooted in a people’s culture, language and tradition. Consider the difference between American and Chinese views on good governance. The former is rooted in Locke, Montesquieu, Jefferson, Madison and the theory of social contract. The latter is rooted in Confucius, Han Fei, Mozi, and the theory of Heaven’s Mandate. The former idealizes republican democracy; the latter idealizes benevolent monarchy. Multiculturalism insists that a Chinese immigrant can maintain the cultural traditions of Chinese Legalism while still being an American; but Chinese Legalism is incompatible with republican democracy. If being an American does not mean sharing the values upon which America was founded – what does it mean? A state can, for a time, survive a diversity of values. But a civic nation cannot.
This, then, is the state of things. Ethnic nation-states are unified and therefore enjoy high social capital and stability. Multiethnic states are diverse and their diversity destroys social capital. Shared values in the form of civic nationalism can in time restore social capital and stability by creating a civic nationalism that trumps ethnicity. But multiculturalism is ruinous of both, adding more ethnic diversity and weakening civic unity.
Many will argue that ethnic diversity is inevitable in today’s global society and therefore that multiculturalism is necessary. This is a lie. It is worse than a lie: It is offering up poison when medicine is at hand. The right way to overcome ethnic diversity already exists. Civic nationalism, characterized by the American melting pot, has proven effective for centuries, as had the Roman melting pot of antiquity. The genius of civic nationalism is that it replaces the genetic with the memetic. In this way, a Gaul became a Roman, and a Swede became an American, because Roman-ness and American-ness were divorced from ethnicity. But civic nationalism must be allowed to replicate. Memes can die, just like genes. To replicate, civic nationalism must be instilled in each new generation by those who are its stewards. If a nation’s own citizens do not love their shared civic values enough to demand that immigrants adopt them, it is a surety that the immigrants will look at that nation with contempt.
How long would Rome have lasted had it allowed its Greek, Gaulish, German, or Thracian members to say “we denounce Rome for displacing the indigenous populations of the lands it occupies, we do not accept Roman traditions, we refuse to learn Latin, we believe the entire corpus of Roman law is corrupt, and we refuse to serve in the imperial legion. We nevertheless expect all the rights of Roman citizens, with bread and circuses at your expense, and if you do not give us these things, we will riot.”
Yet is this not the America and Europe of today? In too many places, it is.
Today Chancellor Merkel has taken a brave step towards creating a German civic nationalism that can replace its failed experiment with multiculturalism. Let us pray that the rest of the West follows suit.

Germany’s Air Force Is Falling Apart

Berlin can deploy less than half of its fighter force

Germany’s air force is in bad shape. For years, its fighter planes have fallen into disrepair due to lack of spare parts, with the number of its flyable, operational warplanes now at one of its lowest points.
That bodes ill as Berlin considers deploying its Tornado multi-role fighters for operations in Syria in a reconnaissance role. The German parliament is expected to approve a decision — days after Britain authorized air strikes on Syria — on Friday. Germany already supplies weapons and training to Kurdish peshmerga fighters.
Berlin should have enough fighters to deploy to the region to meet the mandate, as the German defense ministry only wants to send six Tornados. But the situation … is not good.
But first, we have to note that Germany uses three numbers to count its fighters. There is the total number of aircraft, the number of available aircraft and the number of deployable aircraft. There’s a difference between all three.

In other words, Germany has jets, jets it could fly and jets it can fly. Keeping track of each is standard practice for every air force.
Take the Eurofighter Typhoon. The twin-engine, canard-delta wing fighter is Germany’s most modern warplane, of which it owns 109 in three different variants. Seventy-four were available but only 42 were deployable in 2014, according a German air force report obtained by Der Spiegel.
Now look at Germany’s other fighter, the 1970s-era, variable-sweep wing Panavia Tornado — designed to speed past air defenses during the Cold War.
In total, Germany owned 89 Tornados, had 66 available and 38 deployable in 2014. That means less than half of Berlin’s fighter fleet is reliable in a war.
“The state of our flying systems remains unsatisfactory,” German army chief of staff Gen. Volker Wieker said.
But it’s worse than that — and even these numbers are misleading. Germany’s ministry of defense does not “distinguish between ‘full’ or ‘conditional’ operational capability,” Der Spiegel noted last year. When only counting the fully operational Typhoons, the number drops … to eight.
The number of deployable Tornados fell further in 2015 to 30. So that’s 38 deployable fighters out of an inventory of 198

No-Go Zones: German Police Admit To Losing Control Of Immigrant ‘Problem Neighbourhoods’

The development of so-called “problem neighbourhoods” or “lawless neighbourhoods” in Germany over the course of 2015 has made law enforcement impossible in some areas, according to police reports.

The latest admission of the developing problem of no-go zones in Europe comes from state police in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), a west German state that borders Belgium and the Netherlands. Here, an inquiry by a Conservative Democratic Union (CDU) politician into the state of policing has elicited an embarrassing admission of failure by local police to keep the situation under control.

In Germany, state police are responsible for local law enforcement, but in emergencies can call upon Federal police and appeal to neighbouring states for support. The CDU parliamentary deputy Gregor Golland’s question had revealed 78 per cent of all local regions within NRW have had to bring in external re-enforcements this year due to migrant criminal gangs, reports the Rheinische Post.

The migrant crime in the state is blamed on flourishing criminal gangs, particularly ones emerging from the Lebanon, Poland, and Serbia, which have proven difficult for the police to penetrate. One NRW detective said that these “family” ties borne of ethnicity and foreign nationality make suspects reluctant to speak to police, and investigators routinely experienced “silence during interrogations”.

But these gangs are “certainly only the tip of the iceberg” in terms of immigrant crime, said the detective. These criminals acted with uncommon brutality towards police, he said, with officers often leaving these areas “bruised and battered”.

CDU deputy Gregor Golland has criticised the political establishment in NRW for allowing this state of affairs for developing, where “criminal parallel societies are seeking the upper hand, or those already solidifying”. He said police must be better equipped to deal with the problem.

This is not by far the first time politicians and police officers have spoken out about no-go zones and rising migrant crime and violence. High-profile woman police officer Tania Kambouri remarked on the subject during an interview this month, as she discussed the lack of respect young Muslim men displayed towards their new home, and the officers who keep the law in it.

Stating that young Muslim men proudly proclaim “**** on Germany”, Mrs. Kambouri said police had already lost control in some areas of the country. The officer also expressed concern that anyone who brought up these issues was instantly discredited by being denounced as a “Nazi”.

Elsewhere in Germany the migrant crime wave is also being felt. New end of year police statistics from the State of Saxony have shown a 47 per cent rise in Migrant crime in 2015 compared to 2014, with ten per cent of all migrants in the state suspected of or convicted of crime, even before crimes relating to being in Germany illegally are factored in.

“I am Muslim. What are you?” After asking this question, Muslims beat up Christians at Berlin Mitte on the second day of Christmas, at Potsdam Platz.
At least five men were injured as the result of a fight on early Sunday evening in Berlin-Tiergarten. The police are still investigating, But what they know so far is that five men, after leaving the Club “Adagio” at 17:20 on the Marlene-Dietrich-Plaza, were accosted by a man and asked about their religion. The police report said that the unknown man said, “I am Muslim! What are you?” The question resulted in a verbal shouting match. Suddenly more people arrived on the scene and together with the unknown Muslim they started beating on the men aged 20, 24, and 25.
A 19-year-old man who tried to calm the men down was injured in the face. The perpetrators fled the scene just before the police arrived. The injured young men did not want medical treatment on the spot and said they were going to go to the clinic themselves. According to police, the young men that were attacked come from Serbia and Montenegro, and are Orthodox Christians. The office for political crimes within the police has taken over the investigation. The “Adagio” held a “Balkan Party” on December 25th.
