DHS Busts Down Comedian’s Door Over Cinco De Mayo Jokes To Kill ICE Agents

One left-wing comedian learned a tough lesson last weekend from the Department of Homeland Security about why making “jokes” about killing government officials tends to be a really bad idea.
Brooklyn comedian Jake Flores’ troubles began last Saturday, when he posted a series of jokes encouraging white people to atone for their Cinco de Mayo “cultural appropriation” by killing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents:

Ok here’s how Cinco de Mayo works in 2018. White people are allowed to culturally appropriate on the condition that you help to destroy ICE. You kill 1 ICE agent and you get to wear a sombrero. 2 kills and you can wear a pancho.

“The kind of language expressed in the tweets, even in an allegedly joking manner, is reckless and irresponsible. It potentially puts at risk those who have taken an oath to uphold the law and protect public safety,” ICE press secretary Jennifer Elzea said afterward in a statement to Splinter News.
Flores likewise described the confrontation to Splinter, describing how the DHS officials who raided his home took photos of his apartment and spoke with him about his tweets.
“So we have this conversation and they kind of just make it clear that nothing’s going to happen, [but] we’re going to keep an eye on you, which is alarming and annoying, and maybe they’re listening to this phone call right now,” he said.
No, what’s annoying is Flores’ lack of gratitude. DHS could have possibly arrested him and thrown him in jail for posting threats. Instead they let him off the hook, even after he lectured them about the alleged evils of deporting illegal immigrants.
“But at the end of it, the weird part is, we start to just get into a conversation about why I don’t like ICE. … So I explained this to him, and said the difference between the police and ICE is that the police have a statement mission that, on some level, is good, and then still mess it up,” he said to Splinter.
“But with ICE, their stated mission is what we disagree with. I don’t believe there should be a modern day Gestapo. I believe this is motivated by a lot of sinister things.”

MSNBC Host Joy Reid’s Show Calls Veterans Who Support Trump ‘Not Honorable’

So they’re criticizing criticism of McCain. So their response is to attack veterans?

On Saturday, a panel hosted by embattled MSNBC host Joy Reid attacked the character of military veterans who support President Donald Trump.
MSNBC terrorism analyst Malcolm Nance, who previously called for a terrorist attack by ISIS against a Trump property, said that veterans who support the president are “not honorable,” NewsBusters reported.
“And these military people love him, all right?” Nance began. “And I’m just going to come right out and say it: not honorable military veterans.”

The Cheesecake Factory is investigating an incident at one of its Miami locations after a black customer claims he was verbally attacked by staff over his “Make America Great Again” hat, The Daily Wire reports. Eugenior Joseph, 22, was reportedly dining with his girlfriend’s family at the Dadeland Mall location of the restaurant on Mother’s Day. His MAGA hat allegedly drew the attention of a female staff member, who gathered her co-workers to confront him, a witness told the site. The witness further claimed about a dozen of those employees circled his table, pointing fingers. "So then all the employees started standing there, saying things out loud, like, 'I'm going to knock his head in so hard his hat's going to come off," the source said. Other witnesses for The Daily Wire said some employees used the n-word in reference to Joseph when speaking among themselves, while another brandished his fists. Joseph himself told The Daily Wire that one employee stood behind him, "balling his fists, smacking his fists, trying to scare me." At one point, Joseph claims he and his girlfriend got up to use the restroom and, upon exiting, were greeted by the employees, who were “clapping and yelling, and just screaming things at me.” The kitchen staff also allegedly booed him as he walked by.

Ten children believed to be abused and living in “horrible” conditions were removed from a home in Fairfield, California, police announced Monday.
The children’s removal was sparked after a 12-year-old child was reported missing in the area on March 31, the Fairfield Police Department said in a news release. The child was located and returned home.
While at the home, police said they conducted a health and safety search and discovered nine other children — ranging in age from four months to 11 years old — “living in squalor and unsafe conditions.”

Garbage, rotten food, and animal and human feces were found strewn throughout the house, Lt. Greg Hurlbut said at a news conference Monday.
The officer added after they were removed from the home, the children described in interviews various incidents of “intentional abuse.” They had puncture wounds, burns and bruises consistent with getting shot with a pellet or BB gun, according to the department.

Anti-Trump Porn Star Admits To Charge In Trump Resort Shooting — Then His Mic Gets Cut

The man who opened fire inside of Trump National Doral Golf Club early Friday morning comically admitted to one of his charges when facing a judge on Monday morning, ABC 10 reports.
The 42-year-old porn actor and stripper Jonathan Oddi is currently facing five counts of attempted murder, one count of aggravated assault per attempted murder charge, burglary, criminal mischief, grand theft and creating a false fire alarm.
Oddi admitted to the false fire-alarm charge as his public defender was attempting to get it dismissed.

Study Suggest Average Journalist Just Ain't Right in the Head

According to a study released last year, Journalists' brains seem to show they operate at a lower level than the average population, they have trouble managing emotions and drink to much - but good at managing stress and not peeing on themselves.

I think this may go a long way in helping explain what we've been witnessing in the news media for the last couple of years now. You decide....

"The study, led by neuroscientist Tara Swart, analysed 40 journalists from newspapers, magazines, broadcast, and online platforms over seven months. The participants took part in tests related to their lifestyle, health, and behaviour. It was launched in association with the London Press Club, and the objective was to determine how journalists can thrive under stress.

The Doctor found Journalists' brains showed a lower-than-average level of executive functioning, which means they have a below-average ability to regulate their emotions, suppress biases, solve complex problems, switch between tasks, and show creative and flexible thinking.

The study also showed that journalists' brains were operating at a lower level than the average population particularly because of the tendency of journalists to self-medicate with alcohol, caffeine, and high-sugar foods. Forty-one percent of the subjects said they drank 18 or more units of alcohol a week.

Compared with bankers, traders, or salespeople, journalists showed that they were more able to cope with pressure. The blood tests showed that their levels of cortisol — known as the stress hormone — were mostly normal."

Shaun King Claims He’s The Real Victim Of His Own False Reporting About Police Officer Raping Woman

Activist Shaun King admitted to pushing a false rape claim on Wednesday, after body-cam footage proved that accusations made by Sherita Dixon-Cole (and amplified by King) were false.
King, a columnist for The Intercept, responded to the news by admitting that he had shared the false story, but also suggesting that he was among the victims of her false report.
“She victimized us. She victimized the man she falsely accused and she victimized those who stood up for her  — believing that she had experienced the worst crimes.”
King wrote a full response to the situation at Medium, explaining how he was first drawn into the situation by a compelling story, delivered to him by people he trusted, that appeared to come from a trustworthy source.

Trooper With Same Name As Officer That Shaun King Falsely Accused Of Sexual Assault Is Being Threatened

A Texas state trooper has received thousands of death threats, his father tells Fox News, after a woman accused a different trooper with the same last name of sexually assaulting her during a traffic stop, only to be contradicted by video evidence.
The threats poured in after columnist and activist Shaun King brought attention to the accusations on Twitter, but before body cam video contradicted those allegations. King and civil rights attorney Lee Merritt identified the accused trooper as “Officer Hubbard” or “Hubbard,” without revealing his first name.
The trooper accused by the woman is named Daniel Hubbard. Now, the trooper with the same surname, Jarrod K. Hubbard, is fighting back.[…]
“His picture was the first thing that came up,” said Jarrod Hubbard’s dad, Chief Deputy Norman Hubbard of the Bell County Sheriff’s Office. “One person posted on Twitter my name and date of birth, my wife’s name and date of birth and my son’s name and date of birth.”
The 37-year-old trooper, who’s been with the force for 13 years, was placed under protection of the Texas Rangers on Monday, his father said. The Rangers did not immediately confirm it to Fox News.
On Monday an attorney hired by the Hubbards sent a letter to King and Merritt asking that they “minimize the harm that has been and is being caused” by “disclosing that my client is not and has been erroneously identified as the Officer Daniel Hubbard involved in the event.”
“The identification error has defamed and is defaming my client and his family resulting in substantial harassment and threats necessitating his discontinuation of his Facebook page and need and request for protection for himself and his family from appropriate law enforcement agencies,” said the letter from the Hubbards’ lawyer, Vance Dunnam Jr.

White House deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley had a disappointing response for unhinged liberal actor Robert De Niro, who said recently President Donald Trump is banned from the Nobu restaurant chain he co-owns.
Appearing Friday on the Fox Business Network, Gidley informed the virulent anti-Trump thespian not to hold is breath waiting on the president to appear at one of his restaurants — De Niro and chef Nobu Matsuhisa own 39 Nobu restaurant and hotels.
“Look, Hollywood people grandstand all the time, they’re elitists,” he added. “They don’t know anything about what this president is doing for the American people and they couldn’t care less.
