President Barack Obama plans to take a series of risky executive actions aimed at nuclear arms control, using his final six months in office to cement an elusive foreign policy legacy, according to The Washington Post.
Post columnist Josh Rogin reports national security members in the Obama administration's cabinet, known as the Principals Committee, had two meetings to review options for executive actions on nuclear policy — none of which require formal congressional approval and many of which are controversial and have already drawn the ire of GOP congressional leaders.
"By focusing on nuclear weapons, Obama sees an opportunity to cement a foreign policy legacy despite setbacks and incomplete efforts in several other areas," Rogin writes. "But by doing it unilaterally, without congressional buy-in, and in a hurried way, he risks launching policies that might not last much longer than his presidency."

Obama Ignores Police request

Friday, the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (F.L.E.O.A.) Foundation announced its request that President Obama honor the ultimate sacrifice of our fallen Dallas police heroes by illuminating the White House in blue. It did not happen.
FLEOA Foundation President Jon Adler issued the following statement:
"While we appreciate the President's proclamation to have our flag flown at half-mast in honor of our fallen Dallas police heroes, I respectfully request that he demonstrate his full respect for their ultimate sacrifice by illuminating the White House in blue. Actions speak louder than scripted words, and the honorable act of displaying law enforcement's 'Thin Blue Line' at the White House would demonstrate the President's sincere commitment to our fallen heroes and their families.
"Please know that the law enforcement community draws no comfort from Speaker Ryan's remarks that it's 'A time for healing.' As Speaker Ryan made that statement today, a police officer was shot in Missouri. We can't heal while law enforcement officers continue to bleed.
"Please know that the law enforcement community draws no comfort from House Minority Leader Pelosi's dispassionate remarks when she quoted Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. today. We don't need her self-serving quotes from Dr. King; we need her to exude the leadership of Dr. King.
"I respectfully ask that all elected officials drop their scripted speeches, and feel the pain resonating in Dallas and across the country. Light a blue candle and say a silent prayer, but don't insult the law enforcement community with perishable scripted gibberish. Five honorable heroes made the ultimate sacrifice in Dallas, and it would be a tribute to their service by illuminating the White House in blue.

And it really hurts his feelings. His words are inadequate. I mean Benghazi was ‘less than ideal’, but inadequate? That has to sting. He was in such a state of shock, he barely got through his speech, struggling to mention himself a mere 45 times during a memorial service for 5 police officers murdered by an (ex-)BLM activist. This is a real blow to his massively retarded ego. The attempt to compensate could be disastrous.

As news reports of a gun massacre in Munich crossed the Atlantic Ocean on Friday, the President of the United States was cracking jokes.
Barack Obama delivered a brief update to reporters at the White House about the still-unfolding shooting rampage that left the German city on lockdown.
Eight are confirmed dead, and 10 injured.
The president was speaking to law enforcement agents at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, adjacent to the White House.
But as cameras rolled on the somber moment, Obama grinned and chuckled – and drew laughs from his audience – about his elder daughter Malia leaving the nest and heading for college.

President Barack Obama has unveiled his new gun-control plan, once again displaying his poor grasp on priorities and what really threatens the citizens of this country.
You will recall that he has focused for the last several couple of years on climate change, previously known as global warming until scientists fessed up and admitted that global temperatures had not risen for almost two decades. It then became climate change, and Obama feels that it is urgent that we bankrupt fossil fuel companies, drive coal miners out of business, and spend billions of taxpayer dollars on renewable energy companies run by his friends and cohorts, even though the American people indicate that this issue is way, way down on their priority list.
The death of young black men involved in criminal pursuits by responding police officers has been given immediate attention by Obama, even when all the issues are unknown, and he has weighed in on such cases in order to denigrate law enforcement and defend the criminal elements without have actual facts to help form his opinion.
On the other hand, he could not fit in a visit with the grieving families of 14 innocents massacred by a radical Muslim husband and wife team in San Bernardino until he noticed that his 17 day Hawaii Christmas vacation was in the direct flight path over San Bernardino, at which time he was able to squeeze in a couple of hours with the families in between planning multiple rounds of golf.
Obama is, when examining his overall world view and set of priorities, a narcissist, and he is determined to impose his will and preferences on the American people in spite of opinion polls showing he is completely out of touch with the nation, and often in direct opposition to the focus of elected officials. His scheme for gun control and ultimate gun confiscation was on display yesterday, once again demonstrating his total lack of a balanced priority set in his legislative agenda.

We are at war with Islamic extremists, and Obama cannot even bring himself to use terrorist and Islam in the same sentence. Nevertheless, ISIS and other Islamic groups have called for the the destruction of Israel, American and the West unless they convert to Islam. Obama has been absolutely miserly in providing resources to destroy this enemy of America, and insistent that bombing runs drop warning leaflets on ISIS targets before unleashing actual bombs sufficient to turn the tide.
He was wrong, and ISIS is actually gaining strength, or at least was until Russia entered the fray. With the risk so great, and the American people so insistent that this is the number one issue he must address, Obama instead has decided that he will invite tens of thousands of Muslims to come live in the United States, even though the immigration department has clearly indicated that they cannot properly vet the huge number of migrants to ensure they are not agents of ISIS. It is incomprehensible unless you decide that his true goal is the destruction of America.
And now Obama has indicated that gun control is much more important than keeping Americans safe from terrorism. He has shown that by the resources he is willing to dedicate to gun control in comparison to the bigger issue of terrorism.

President Obama plans to build a new gun control force of 430 agents, more than eight times the size of the team of commandos he is sending to the Middle East to hunt down and destroy ISIS terrorists.
According to a White House fact sheet, the president plans to deploy 200 more Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agents “to help enforce our gun laws.”
He also plans to add at least 230 new FBI agents to pour over the backgrounds of gun buyers. Said the White House: “The FBI will hire more than 230 additional examiners and other staff to help process these background checks.”
In Iraq, by comparison, the White House is moving to install an estimated 50-200 special operations forces to take down ISIS.
An Associated Press report said the commandos would number around 50, with the rest in supporting roles.

This is wrong on so many levels it is hard to comprehend. Even liberal media outlets have indicated that the proposals made by Obama yesterday would have done little or nothing to quell the gun violence that has been committed in the last several years. The proposals are simply an attack on the ability of law-abiding citizens to purchase a gun and defend themselves without undue intrusion from the government.
The proposals also raise serious issues of government ability to come into an individuals home without a warrant or other protections afforded by the Constitution. The biggest question of all is why Obama is so determined to go against the will of the people and to violate so many laws in order to force his will. And that gets back to priorities.
Given that the new executive order will anger much of the nation, will violate so many laws, and will do nothing to take guns out of the hands of criminals or quell violence, why is gun prohibition or confiscation so high on Obama’s priority list? That is the larger question regarding this lawless and imperial president, and the possible answers so dark and dispiriting.

In an interview that aired during CBS’ Sunday broadcast of “Face the Nation,” President Obama defended his claim that Hillary Clinton is the most “prepared” presidential candidate in our nation’s history.
“I do think that the body of work of a person matters,” Obama told host John Dickerson. “And I would say that — and I’ve said this before. I will say again. Since you opened — opened this line of questioning, I genuinely believe that there has never been a candidate better prepared for the presidency than Hillary Clinton.”
“Not Eisenhower? Not George Herbert Walker Bush?” posed Dickerson.
