Farming today requires much limestone.Wonder if corporate farming could be at fault here.

The quantity of carbon contained in limestone is quite large. Some is released as CO2 when limestone is ground up. Cement making is the big culprit here. Farming not so much, since the crops that are fertilized suck in much more CO2 than is given off making the fertilizer.

China makes it clear they are ready to lead on climate if Donald Trump won’t

Taking the stage at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland on Tuesday,
Chinese president Xi Jingping had a message for President-elect Donald
Trump: Don’t renege on the United States’ international promises,
including the Paris climate agreement.

“The Paris agreement is a hard-won achievement… all signatories should stick to it rather than walk away,” Xi said.
“It is important to protect the environment while pursuing economic and
social progress — to achieve harmony between man and nature, and
harmony between man and society.”

In Break With Trump, Interior Pick Says Climate Change No Hoax

Donald Trump’s nominee to lead the Interior Department broke with the
president-elect’s portrayal of climate change as a hoax, arguing that
he has seen tangible evidence the world is warming.

"The climate is changing; that’s indisputable," Representative Ryan Zinke, a
Republican from Montana, told the Senate Energy and Natural Resources
Committee. Zinke, who grew up near Glacier National Park, said he had
watched the retreat of ice there during his lifetime.

announced that 2016 was the hottest year on record globally. To consider
