What does it mean to be double minded?
During the wee hours of the morning, this scripture was tossing around in my head: "A double minded man is unstable in all his ways." (James 1:. So, I began to try to define it, comparing the phrase with single mindedness, narrow mindedness, and open mindedness. Then, with not 'judging' before the time, and a spiritual man judgeth all things, and judge not, lest you be judged.
Any thoughts?

I think it also means getting direction from the Lord, feeling confident that He is leading you to do something, but when the going gets tough you change your mind about it.

Your example is one of being double minded. Trying to serve God, but instead serving the flesh by yielding to it instead of trusting God.
If we are not single-minded towards God, then we are unstable in all things.
